It was the next day and Anne and Bucky have been trying to figure out Joker and Harley Quinn's next move after they tried to kill the commissioner the other day, However Jack along with Alex and Benjamin called both of them to the GCPD because they received a strange footage and they think this message was sent to Batwoman.

[Gotham City Police Department]

The commissioner and detectives were sitting while Batwoman and Bucky were standing as everyone was watching the footage, It showed Harley Quinn with a scared look on her face as everyone was confused.

Harley: It's no joke. Mr. J's has gone nuts for real because you stopped him from killing Jack. Now he said he's gonna take out
the whole city!

Everyone looked at each other as Harley continued speaking through the footage.

Harley: I've seen the plans
the gas bombs, everything!. . . . I finally realize this isn't funny anymore.

She took off her mask and hat, revealing her long blonde hair as Harley looked at the camera with worry on her face.

Harley: I can help you get him
if you promise that you will protect from that psychopath.

The video ended as everyone looked at each other in shock and confusion, But they weren't exactly convinced by this footage, On the other hand they did feel a bit worried if those plans were true, They really needed to stop Joker from destroying the city.

Alex: I don't understand, Is this even true, or is it way to lure you two in their plans to kill you?

Benjamin: I'm not sure. . . It seemed genuine, though.

Jack: I don't trust it, What do you think, Batwoman?

Anne was silent for a few seconds as Bucky looked at her, wondering what she was thinking.

Anne: I wouldn't trust it either. . . But maybe Harley did truly change her ways.

Benjamin: Seriously? Are you sure?

Alex: This could be another game.

Bucky: I don't trust her at all. Why would she suddenly change her ways? It doesn't make any sense. People like her don't just change overnight. And after everything she's done, there's no way anybody should be trusting her.

Jack: Sergeant Barnes has a point, This is Harley Quinn we are looking at.

Anne stood silently and began thinking about what he said, Bucky continued looking at her with skepticism, hoping that she wasn't going to trust Harley easily.

Anne: I get what you mean, but what if she truly wants to start over? For sure, Joker is a psychopath but he's also an abusive boyfriend towards her. Maybe she finally realised the truth and wanted to change.

Everyone was silent, but Bucky didn't really like this idea yet.

Anne: Let's just see how this goes, I'm willing to give her a second chance. . . Everyone deserves another chance.

Jack, Alex, and Benjamin nodded and understood what she said, She did have a point, but they weren't sure about everything, Barnes just sighed and shook his head as he continued looking at Anne.

Batwoman and Bucky made it to the docks as they saw a blonde woman wearing a long coat as she was looking around, and that woman was revealed to be Harley.

She was completely off the Harley Quinn look and gimmick and finally looked like herself before she became Joker's partner. Anne was about to jump down until Bucky grabbed her arm and looked at her.

Bucky: Again, are you sure we can trust her?

Anne: That's the same question I asked myself when I met you.

Bucky rolled his eyes and cracked a small smile, He decided to trust her decision as Anne gave a small smile before they both jumped down to the docks as Harley looked at both of them.

The vigilantes walked towards her as Harley stepped back as Anne spoke in a commanding tone to her.

Batwoman: Open it.

Harley was startled as she nodded and opened the box she was holding, Anne noticed there was papers as she picked it up and looked at it.

Batwoman: I want Ryan to see these. If what you say is true, the police will-

???: Traitor!

Harley's eyes widened as Anne and Bucky turned around and saw Joker on a boat, holding a submission gun as he began shooting at the trio, Bucky pushed both of them to the ground and took cover as Joker continued shooting at them until Barnes threw a batarang at the Joker.

However, the batarang suddenly decapitated his head, Bucky and Anne looked shocked and realised that it was just a robotic dummy.

Just before they were going to check on Harley, They were both shot with syringes as both vigilantes were holding their neck until they fell on the ground and slowly lost consciousness.

Harley had a huge smile on her face and was happy that her plan worked, She managed to trick both of them and even sedated them. She was really proud of what she just did.

Harley: Sweet dreams, losers.

Anne and Bucky woke up and found themselves dangling from the ceiling. Below, there was a tank of water full of piranhas as both of them stared in shock.

Bucky was even more shocked when he noticed that his vibranium arm was missing and wondered, How did Harley manage to remove his arm? However, both of their thoughts were interrupted when they looked at Harley, who was drinking some juice until she noticed they were awake.

Harley: You two are awake, finally. It looks cute seeing you two dangling next to each other

Harley noticed the look on Bucky's face as she knew he was confused about his arm.

Harley: I just clicked on a few buttons, and it came off! I didn't know about anything.

Harley smiled as Bucky narrowed his eyes until Anne said something.

Batwoman: The Joker. Where?

Harley: It's just me,
No Joker, no gas bombs, no city in peril. Just you two, that tank and me.

Batwoman: Why?

Harley smiled and looked at tabk full of piranhas as she began speaking to them.

Harley: To show Mr. J
I could really pull off one of his plans. See, he could never get
these fishies to smile, but then I had the bright idea of hanging the victim.

Harley: That's you, upside down. That way, to you, it'll look like they're smiling.

Anne and Bucky narrowed their eyes and stared at her as Quinn continued smiling at them.

Harley: Clever, right?

Anne: Brilliant

Bucky: Smart.

Harley could hear the sarcasm in their voice as she pouted and began talking to them.

Harley: Yeah, yeah, I can tell
you're less than thrilled. You know, for what it's worth, I actually enjoyed some of our romps. But there comes a time when a gal wants more. . . And now all this gal wants is to settle down with her loving sweetheart.

Anne: You and the Joker?

Harley: Right-a-ronny!

Harley smiled to herself until she heard Anne holding her laughter, Quinn turned around as Anne began laughing, It shocked her as Bucky couldn't help but let out a chuckle of what she just said as Harley was starting to get scared of them.

Harley: I've never seen you two laugh before. I don't think I like it.

Anne continued laughing while Bucky was smiling at Harley as She covered her ears and closed her eyes.

Harley: Cut it out! You're giving me the creeps

Anne: You little fool. The Joker doesn't love anything except himself. . . Wake up, Harleen. He had you pegged for hired help
the minute you walked into Arkham.

Harley felt like her heart dropped but she just thought Anne was lying to her.

Harley: That's not. . . No. No! He told me things, secret things he never told anyone.

Anne: Was it his line about the abusive father? Or the one about the runaway mom? He's gained a lot of sympathy with that one.

Harley: Stop it! You're making me confused!

Anne: What was it he told that
one parole officer? Oh, yes. "There was only one time I ever saw Dad really happy. "He took me to the ice show when I was seven." He's got a million of them, Harley.

Harley just stared at Anne in shock as Winters had a small smirk on her face while Bucky was listening to everything. Quinn began crying as she yelled at Anne.

Harley: You're wrong.
My Pudding does love me! He does! You're the problem!

She quickly went towards the rope and slowly began pulling it down.

Harley: And now you're gonna die
and make everything right!

Anne: Except he'll never believe you did it.

Harley: Huh? Sure he will.

Anne: How's Joker gonna know I'm really gone? All those fish will leave are scraps of bone and cloth. . . Anyone can fake that. True, you've got my belt, and you got his arm, but it's not the same as a body. He'll never buy it.

Harley was scared and knew Anne was right, Winters knew her tactic is working as Anne and Bucky looked at each other before Harley quickly went to call Joker on the phone.

Bucky: . . . Did that work?

Anne: You saw the look on her face? It did.

Bucky: You never fail to impress me, Annie.

Anne just smiled a little as both of them were waiting for Harley to show up.

Joker was at his hideout as he was extremely busy, figuring out a plan to kill Batwoman and her partner as he was holding a bunch of papers until he heard his phone ringing as he answered the call.

Joker: *On Call* What? Harley? Oh. Where have you been, huh?
Ah. Uh-huh. . . . Yeah, yeah. Batwoman and Bucky, eh? Well, you don't say. . .

Joker: YOU HAVE WHO TIED UP WHERE!?
