A few days have passed, and everything has been going well. Right now, Anne was seen in her office and was chatting with Matthew about work and was also talking about the history of Gotham City.

Meanwhile, Charlie was busy with his company and was working on some projects with Mark and Annabelle.

Anne and Matthew continued talking to each other as Matthew said something.

Matthew: Honestly, I always find Amadeus Arkham's history very creepy, to be honest.

Anne: I can understand that, I also feel bad about what his family went through.

Matthew: Same here. They didn't deserve it. But I also find the reports of inmates seeing his spirit in the asylum very intriguing and scary.

Anne: Sometimes ghost stories are true, Matthew.

Matthew: Exactly, that's because Amadues was a patient in his own asylum. But since you were in arkham asylum, have you maybe. . . Saw those sightings?

Anne: No, not really. I heard more of those insane criminals.

Matthew: Ahh, I see, If you did see a spirit. Would you get scared?

Anne: Guess the answer, Matthew.

Matthew: No?

Anne: Correct. Even when Benjamin made me watch a bunch of horror movies, including those japanese horror movies. I never flinched once.

Matthew: Geez Anne, You're something.

Anne smiled at Matthew as Evans chuckled.

Matthew: Those Japanese and Korean horror movies are scarier than the usual ones. Yet, you never get scared.

Anne: That's true, Even Jack tried to spook me a few times when it was halloween.

Matthew laughed a little as Anne was looking at him until Winters heard an alert on her phone as She saw a message.

Anne: Something happened at Gotham's General Hospital.

Matthew: Uh oh, you need to check it out.

Anne: I need to go now, Can you handle the rest of the work?

Matthew: Of course I can, Be careful.

Anne nodded and immediately got up and went to the underground lab and wore her Batsuit before leaving the area.

Meanwhile, Charlie, Mark, and Annabelle were discussing work until Charlie had an alert message on his phone as He looked at Mark and Annabelle.

Charlie: I have to leave, There is some trouble at the Gotham General Hospital.

Mark: Wait, you're going to the hospital?

Charlie: Of course, I need to make sure everything is okay there.

Annabelle: Okay, Charlie, stay safe.

Mark: And don't get yourself into trouble.

Charlie just smirked and tied his hair before leaving the office as Annabelle and Mark looked at each other.

Fifteen minutes passed as Batwoman saw Gotham's General Hospital as Anne tried to open the back door, but it was locked.

Anne saw a vent above her head and used the batclaw to break the vent before she sneaked inside.

Eventually, Anne made it to the emergency room and noticed that it was empty, It was also extremely silent. The staff must have evacuated away from the hospital.

Anne contacted Benjamin through her comms.

Anne: Oracle, I'm at the hospital. Although this whole place is locked down.

Benjamin: I see. Well, I found out that a group of thugs broke into the hospital, I couldn't detect who they worked for, or they were just some random street thugs. After that, everyone, including the workers, evacuated from the hospital.

Anne: I see. I need to figure out who did this, but first, I need to get out of the emergency room.

Benjamin: I don't know, Can't you just punch the door open?

Anne: And you want me to pay for it?

Benjamin: Obviously. Okay, but I'll try hacking into the hospital and at least open the security locks.

Anne: Thanks, Oracle.

Anne disconnected the call as Winters managed to open the locked door, which did cost for it to be broken as Anne looked around the empty hospital until the electricity went back on.

Anne knew Benjamin opened the locks and electricity until Anne noticed the tv was on as She saw someone on the TV.

It was Edward Nygma AKA The Riddler.

Riddler: Oh no, where is the medical team? Could it be that while you were out doing what you do, I, the Riddler, snuck in and took all those poor, stupid fools?

Anne: *Gets angry* Riddler. . . Where are they.

Riddler: Questions, questions, Batwoman. It's not you who needs answers here. It's me. You answer my riddles, and I tell you where they are. You answer my riddles, and they don't die. So, shall we begin?

Riddler smiled at Anne as Winters was upset, knowing she had to go through his stupid games and riddles.

Riddler: It can be cruel, poetic, or blind. But when it's denied, it's violence you may find.

Anne: Justice.

Riddler: Well done! I knew you could solve it. But all of the hostages are very hard to find, The first one is at the abandoned courthouse, and I suggest you hurry up, though.

Anne glared at him through the TV before the TV closed as Winters sighed to herself before she decided to leave the hospital as fast as she could.

Eventually, she made it out of the hospital as She was talking to Benjamin.

Anne: Riddler was the one that kidnapped the medical team at the hospital. . . He just wants to play his mind games again.

Benjamin: Are you kidding me? That beating you gave him at arkham City wasn't enough?

Anne: The first hostage is at the abandoned courthouse, I have to rescue the hostage before he does anything else.

Benjamin: Alright, Batwoman. And I'm just saying, "Don't fall for that guy's traps.

Anne: I will, I'll contact you later.

Anne grappled to a building as She began gliding as She was making her way to the courthouse.

But unknown to her, someone was at the rooftop who watched and listened to Anne as It was revealed to be Charlie, who was just chilling there.

Charlie had a smile on his face as he decided to follow Anne to the location.

Eventually, both of them made it to the courthouse as Winters was trying to find an entrance, She climbed on the gate and saw just one thug holding a bat.

Riddler Enforcer: See! I told you guys that Batwoman was gonna be here

The thug turned around and didn't even see the other thugs which shocked and confused him, He was the only one standing which scared him as Batwoman walked towards him but the thug tried to attack Anne with the bat but Anne grabbed it and threw it away before grabbing him by the throat.

Batwoman: I know you work for riddler.

Riddler Enforcer: Please, don't hurt me! I'll tell you what you want to know.

He told her where the hostage was at as Anne was staring at him until she said something.

Anne: It's been a pleasure.

Anne punched him in the face and knocked him out as Winters looked around and decided to find her way to the courthouse.

Unknown to her, Catman was actually watching her and even secretly took down the thugs which was why he left one thug just for Anne.

He looked at the unconscious thugs next to him before he looked at Anne and smiled to himself and was thinking about the way she interrogated that thug.

Charlie: That was hot.

Meanwhile, Anne managed to get in the courthouse as she saw multiple thugs guarding one of the hostages who was tied in the chair.

Anne jumped down as the thugs saw her and got scared before Anne began to fight the thugs.

Batwoman took down a thug by hitting a roundhouse kick.

Anne hit a double dropkick on a thugs before she threw a few batarangs at the thugs.

A thug tried to hit her with a kendo stick, but Anne grabbed the stick and began hitting him before she grabbed him and hit a German suplex.

Anne grabbed another thug and twisted his arm before breaking it as the thug was screaming.

Anne took down the last thug by hitting a combo of strikes and punches before ending it with a knee strike.

Anne looked at the staff worker as She restrained the staff worker as He got up and looked at her.

Staff worker: Thank god you're here, Batwoman. That guy is insane.

Anne: Don't worry, you're safe. What happened at the hospital.

Staff Worker: We were just working as we usually do, until those armed thugs broke in the hospital, They captured me and the rest of the team while the others ran out of the hospital as fast as they could. I have no clue why he kidnapped us.

Anne: He just wants to play mind games, I'll find the rest of the team and will stop him.

Staff worker: Thank you, Also he told me to tell you something very specific, It was the numbers. 275325.

Anne: Sounds like a radio frequency.

Staff Worker: He also gave me a box.

He gave a box to Anne as Winters was examining the box before she decided to check the radio frequency through her cryptographic sequencer.
