Grandpa Jason and baby Xia.💜💜💜

"GGB?" Xiara calls out to the old man. "Hey, I don't know where you are, but I'm heading out! I'm going to get a few pets!"

She gets no response, and she takes that as an okay as she makes her way to the garage to grab one of the many cars. She takes off straight to an exotic pet store.

Last night she did a lot of research on the pet stores surrounding the area. She's decided that she wants a few pet snakes. At least for now, she's also thinking about getting a few bobcats, lynxes, wolves, and foxes. To get those though, she has to get a license. That will take a little time as she sent in a license request last night under her GG's address, knowing great Uncle Damian had many crazy pets when he lived here.

She pulls up to the exotic pet store, immediately going inside to the snakes.

She gets 3 spiny bush vipers which are venomous just like she wants. She gets everything she'd need before heading back and setting everything up. She decides to name them Tarragon (red), Chervil (yellow), and Borage (blue).

"Why would she get such venomous snakes?" a woman's voice questions.

Xia tries to ignore it as she usually does with ghosts. Ever since she could remember, she could see ghosts. Her grandfather, Jason, told her that he could too and helped her. He never explained why they could see them though. She was lead to believe that they were metahumans, but Jason quickly shut that down. He said he wasn't, but she was.

"Why are you following her?" a man hesitantly asks.

There was a young ghost girl probably the age 13 that always followed her. She was something out of nightmares. All those scary movies of dead little girls? This one looked terrifying all the same, but she wasn't bad just scary looking. Xia entertained her with all the fights she'd cause. She's been around since Xia was 5. They've talked. The ghost girl said her name was Ami. She's overly protective of Xia too. She's scary powerful, scaring away any ghosts she deems unsafe. Ami has pitch black eyes which is the opposite for most ghosts as they have completely white ones. Ami also has long dark hair which she uses to wrap other ghosts she doesn't like. She's like that villain Venom but with hair.

She doesn't talk much, nor do other ghosts typically talk to her. The creepier looking the ghost, the worse their death was. At least that's what Xia's seen to be true. She doesn't know Ami's story nor will Ami tell her.

"Like herrr," Ami replies ominously as usual.

Xia sighs, turning to them. "Why does it matter if I have snakes?"

The couple tense.

"You can see us?" the woman asks.

"Yes," Xia sighs. "Would you like me to help you move on to the after life?"

"What?" the man voices.

"Something is keeping you here. I can pass on a message or help with whatever."

"No, we will go when Bruce goes."

Xia looks at them with a tilt of her head. "Are you... my great great grandparents?"

"Thomas and Martha Wayne," the man says with a bow.

"Uh, Xiara Todd, but you probably know that," Xia huffs. "Anyway, I have things to do, so if you don't mind leaving? That'd be great."

The two nod and vanish, leaving Ami and Xia behind. Xia sighs and moves to her clothing to pick out what to wear for school tomorrow.
