Shu ran back to Randi's tree. He knew he was close when he started to hear her violin. When he got there, he told Randi the news. "Randi. Ukyo said he wanted to battle you and Ractylon. That if you won, he'd stop bothering you," he panted. Randi's violin stopped at the mention of a battle. Shu heard her climb down. Before he knew what happened, she was running back to Sword Flames. 

When Shu finally caught up, she was facing Ukyo. "I heard you wanted to battle -- brother. Let's get this over with," she said in a dangerously low tone. Shu took his place next to Xander. "What's with those two?" he asked Shu. Shu turned to face him. "They seem to have...issues with each other," he says. They all turned to the battle.

But something was off. 

'What's with that posture? This isn't Randi's usual self. It seems she'll go with her Bey Launch right off the bat,' Shu thinks to himself. "Alright! The first battle!" the referee says. "Ready? Set!" 

"3!" 

"2!"

"1!"

"Let it rip!" 

Their beys are off. Ractylon quickly took the center, while Unicrest hung back. "What's the matter brother? Hanging back? No wonder I'm better than you. Show me how much you've improved! Come at me!" Randi challenged. Ukyo gritted his teeth. "Unicrest! Knock that bey out!" he yelled. Unicrest charged at Ractylon. "Ractylon! Give our brothers the center!" she called out. 

"Is she nuts?!" Rantaro half asked, half yelled. Just as Unicrest was in Ractylon's range, the bey swung around and hit Unicrest, but gave it the center. "Ukyo's attack failed!" Daigo said, surprised. Ukyo was losing patience. "That's enough! Unicrest! Allacore Launch!" Ukyo called out, and the bey moved in to attack. "Oh no! Ractylon's toast!" Nika said. "Or is it?" Randi said confidently. 

Randi suddenly spun around and took her violin. Ukyo seemed to recognize the move. "No! Unicrest! Disengage!" he said, but Unicrest was already moving in. "What's she doing?!" Ker said. "I don't know, but Ukyo is panicking!" Beus responded. "Ractylon!" Randi called out, and played seven notes. No one seemed to understand the move, but Ractylon did. 

The bey moved so quickly, Unicrest had no chance. 

"Ractylon! Omnipotent Launch!" Randi called out, and the bey met Unicrest with a vengeance. They met head on, but Ractylon was quicker. Before everyone's astonished eyes, Unicrest burst. There was a shocked silence, as Ukyo picked Unicrest up. 

"A Burst Finish! Rouge Ractylon win with a score of 2-0!" the referee called out. Everyone stood with deadpan expressions. Randi picked up Ractylon and turned to Ukyo. "Who's the disgrace now brother?" she challenged.  

"What -- was that?! That wasn't your Violin Launch! I thought that's what you were going to use! You cheated!" Ukyo said, trying to stall. "No Ukyo. She won fair and square. I have to say, no wonder she came in fifth place at nationals last year," Xander replied. "W-what? You came in fifth? That's too high for a disgrace like you!" Ukyo stuttered. Shu had had enough. 

"Back up on the language. You don't treat your sister like that," he growled at Ukyo. Ukyo took a step back. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Shu calm down!" Vault said. He grabbed the albino's arm and pulled him away from Ukyo. Shu stood away from the Sword Flames and Beigoma groups. Randi walked out of the battle. She walked back to the forest. 

"Not gonna follow your girlfriend Shu? What a shame," Ukyo said. Shu turned to him and said, "I'm going to follow my friend. That's all we are." He walked out and followed Randi to the oak. Once he caught up, she was leisurely sitting on the same branch while playing. He climbed up and sat next to her. "What kind of a move was that? Ractylon is a balance type. That strength is like that of an attack type," he asked.

Randi stopped playing. She sighed and leaned back. "My father used to have a slight affection for me when I first started beyblading. He showed me the Violin Launch. When it happens, my bey and violin work together and form an incredibly strong attack. But after everything fell apart, I discovered the Omnipotent Launch while training and crying. I learned to use it only when absolutely necessary," she explained. 

Randi stood and pointed deeper into the woods. "Somewhere along there, I used to live before I came to live with my aunt," she explains. Shu stood and looked in the direction she pointed in. "It looks beautiful. No wonder you are," he says. He suddenly clasps his hand over his mouth. Randi slowly turns to him. 

"Seriously? Why would you think of something like this?" she asks teasingly. Before Shu can answer, she leaps and lands on the ground. "C'mon Kurenai! Let's go see how the guys are doing," she says. Shu tries to climb down but loses his footing. He falls. "Whoa!" he says, and nearly hits the ground. He opens his eyes and sees his face inches from the ground. A rope is tied around his leg and hitched to a branch. 

He falls and sees Randi holding a rope. "Well, you need to be more careful. Don't want to ruin your pretty face do we?" she teases. She runs off back to Sword Flames. Shu sighs. 

'One more reason she's perfect,' he thinks to himself, and follows Randi.
