You walked through your neighborhood clutching your bey, Valiant Veltrio. You thought about the upcoming test in science, and hoped to God it would be easy. You suddenly felt a hand on your shoulder and panicked. You grabbed the hand and flipped it over your shoulder. 

The hand let go and a lock of white hair crossed your vision. You weren't able to react, and were knocked on the floor. You saw who pinned you. "Randi! What the heck was that for?" you questioned angrily. You turned to see Shu standing behind her, holding a phone and two backpacks. Randi helped you up and said, "I was itching to see if you had gotten any better, and you have! Almost got me there for a second!" 

You smiled at your nutty, but genius friend. She had the highest scores in school, and was rumored to be in love with Shu, but always denied it with a hysterical laugh. She took her backpack from Shu and turned to you. "So! You going to the bey show today? I hear the four Spin Emperors will be there, willing to give tips to amateur bladers. And guess what?" she asked excitedly.  

"What?" you responded. "Shu and I can get you in for free since we'll both be there performing!" she yapped excitedly. "Oh really?" you questioned, but something was bugging you. "But Randi, you're not a Spin Empress. You're not in the top four. Why are you blading there?" you asked the albino girl. "Oh, Y/N. So naive. I'm gonna be playing my violin there!" she answered. (A/N; Randi plays violin, forgot to mention that.) 

"You are? What are you playing?" you asked excitedly. She shrugs and says, "You'll find out if you say you'll go. Who knows? Maybe your heichou Lui will be there," You know you can't resist. You love beyblading. And Lui Shirasagijo. You smile and say, "What time?" Randi thinks and says,  

"6:00!" 

"Done!" 

You wave goodbye and walk home.

At 6:00, you were ready and wait fro Randi. 

She knocks on the door and you open. Randi and Shu are there waiting for you. Randi is wearing a black vest with a white shirt and blue jeans with Vans (A/N; my school look here! ^-^), and her violin strapped on her back. Shu wears his usual. You wear F/C with a F/C knee length dress. You step outside and walk with them to the Bey show. 

Once you get there, Shu and Randi lead you backstage. A guard asks them for their passes. Shu and Randi hand them to him. The guard tuns to you. "And is she with you?" he asks Shu and Randi. "Oh! Yes, she's with us," Randi responds and the guard lets you through. You step through, and the other three Spin Emperors greet Shu and Randi. 

"Oh! You two made it," says a tall man with red, spiky hair. 

"No duh, Xander," Randi tells him. 

"So the rouge female also came. Came to apologize?" a man with blonde hair and red highlights asks. Randi laughs and shakes her head. "I wasn't expecting you to be here Lui," Shu tells Lui.  He shakes his head and says, "Of course I came, Kurenai. I'm wondering why Shigotu is here. She's not in the top four." 

Randi retorted and says, "I'm surprised the WBBA invited you, Shirasagijo. I'm here to play for the show. Have you not seen the violin on my back?" You laugh and the other three notice your presence. "So who's this girl? Is she with you guys?" the red haired male asks. 

Shu and Randi turn to you and  Randi says, "Oh right! Y/N, these are the other three Spin Emperors, Xander, Lui, and Zac." Shu turns to them and says, "And this is our friend, Y/N." You shyly wave at the three Spin Emperors, but notice Lui staring at you. The loud speaker comes on and says, "Randi Shigotu to the stage. Spin Emperors to the stage." Everyone takes off and you follow them. 

As soon as you reach the backstage, Randi falls and takes her violin out of her case and shuts the case. "Alrighty, Y/N stay here. You guys might faint with what you're about to hear to hold on," she says gesturing to you and the boys. She runs off to the stage and has a brief talk with the coordinator. He runs off and Randi plays a few notes and nods to the man. "All right here we go," Shu says. 

The curtain goes up and a wave of applause greets Randi, who waves. She takes her position and begins playing the Swordland. "I've got to say, she got better," Zac says. You all nod in agreement. You feel someone pull you back, and come face to face with Lui. "Lui-" you begin but he cuts you off. 

"Y/N is it? Beautiful name," he says. You feel you face turn red. Lui smiles to himself. "So, you got a thing for me too?" he asks. You try to control you blush but only deepens. "N-no I-I don't! Why would you think something like that?" you stutter. 

"Because you're blushing," he says. "Here. If you want to talk, call me," he tells you, handing you a piece of paper. Suddenly, Shu calls you over. "The epic part's starting! Don't want to miss it!" he says. You join him and see him staring at her. "Shu, are you absolutely sure you don't like Randi?" you ask him. He blushes and says, "Don't spill it to the whole world, Y/N." 

You only laugh at his comment.

It's been a week since you last saw Lui, and you still have the slip of paper he gave you. But you haven't called. You aren't sure if he was for real or just messing around. You had the slip in your hand, when someone snatched it from you. You look up and see Randi, accompanied by Shu. 

"My, my! What do we have here?" she says. She reads it and nearly screams. "Oh my gosh!" she whispers. She grabs Shu's and your hand and pulls you home. You turn to Shu, who has a blush on his face. Randi finally lets you go and turns to you. "Have you called?" she asks. You shake your head no. Randi nearly faints and swoons back. Shu catches her and she regains her posture. 

"Then I'll do it for you," she says and dials the number. Your eyes grow wide. "Randi, no!" you say, but she talks into the phone. "Oh, hello Lui. A friend on your would like to speak with you. Can you come to the bey park ASAP?" she says. A voice behind you says, "I'm already here." 

You turn and see Lui standing behind you. Randi hangs up and says, "Oh! Okay then. We'll leave." She grabs Shu's hand and pulls him away. You stand and say, "Sorry Lui. This is just a big misunderstanding. I'll go now." You try to leave, but he grabs your hand and avoids it. "Don't go. I was starting to worry that you would never call," he says. 

You turn and say, "Technically, Randi called. Not me. But why are you still holding my hand?" He looks away and pulls you close. Your lips collide with his. For a moment all you can do is stare. Then you slowly melt into the kiss. You pull away for air. "Lui..." you say. He looks at you and says, "A champion needs someone. And I want you to be my someone." You stare and hug him. You smile and say, "I would love to be your someone." 

He smiles and hugs you back.

I'm old enough to not be in elementary school, but young enough to not go to high school.
