The Flight

Fifteen hours on a massive, yet cramped, army plane was not fun and even so, we had only been flying for an hour. At the moment I was wondering why Galvatron hadn't chosen to attack Hawaii or something. Not that it would've been a good thing, but it would've saved me from an agonizing plane ride. I hated planes, flying and heights so much. Last year, Jason had to physically drag me onto the plane to get me home. It was the battle of a lifetime, one in which I lost. This go around had been fairly easy, but I was only making it seem like it in case someone or some bot decided to handle me themselves.

So, this was a huge plane. Actually, huge was an understatement. Honestly, I probably couldn't walk around this entire plane three times before we got to Australia. Exaggeration. .yes, but it was still a pretty huge ass plane. I didn't even know the army needed planes this big, but I guess the Autobots needed a way to travel with them as well.

I was sitting against the side of the plane. My family and the soldiers were all scattered among the seating area and the Autobots were in the bare hangar with me. Most of them were in their alt modes except for Optimus, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Dino, Crosshairs and Drift who were talking among themselves. Nobody had really talked to me, though. I was just lost in my thoughts, staring at the wall.

It wasn't until about five minutes later that I heard the familiar sound of mechanical footsteps. A large figure sat down beside me, and I instantly knew who it was. Bumblebee's leg was stretched far out in front of him, so I took the opportunity and laid my head against the side of it. It wasn't particularly comfortable, but I was feeling a little tired and had felt bad for the way I treated him earlier.

"I'm sorry for snapping at you earlier. You must hate me right now," I told him.

He whirred.

"I most definitely do not. Why do you think that?"

"Well, because all you're trying to do is keep me safe and I'm just being a brat about it. I don't mean to be. It's just that all I want is to do something for you," I explained.

"You do more for me than you think, Rosalie. Trust me," he told me.

"I certainly don't feel like it, Bee. Like a week ago. .watching you offline or whatever, I felt absolutely helpless. I wanted so badly to help you but I couldn't."

"Like I said so many times before, it's not your job to protect me. It's my job to protect you and this stupid stunt you're trying to pull isn't going to happen, little lady," he told me.

I sighed.

"That's what you think."

All he did was shake his head at me. I sat up and noticed Gracie and Lynleigh walking over towards us. Gracie sat down beside me and Lynleigh sat down in front of me.

"Hey girls," Lynleigh greeted.

I raised my eyebrow at her.

"I'm almost certain that Bumblebee is not a girl."

"Oh, I know. I just didn't feel like greeting each of you by the correct genders. Too many words and I don't have time for it," she complained.

Gracie shook her head at Lynleigh and I laughed.

"Anyways, what are you two kids talking about?" Gracie asked.

"Her stubborn ass," Bumblebee said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Stop talking. Aren't your processors damaged or something?"

He just shrugged.

"Well, I can make it so. Shut up," I remarked.

"Why are you so mean to him?" Lyneligh asked.

"I'm not mean to him. We're mean to each other. It's just how our relationship works," I explained to her.

"Well, I don't think you deserve him," Lynleigh laughed.

Gracie snorted and I glared at them.

"Are you trying to steal him from me? Because if so, I'll kill you. He's my Cybertronian and last time I checked, you had your own," I told her as I hugged Bee's leg.

I could hear him laughing at us.

"No, I'm really not."

"Then shut up. I'm going to sleep. Goodnight sluts," I told them.

"Whatever you say," Gracie said.

Lynleigh got up and walked over to Hound while Gracie got up and walked over to Sideswipe and Dino. I yawned and snuggled into Bee's leg. Laying on metal wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but it'd do for now.

A loud bang was heard along with a sudden jerk from the plane. I shot up instantly and looked around. Lennox and his men, along with my family, were scurrying throughout the plane. They were grabbing gear, weapons and other necessities. The plane jerked again and I stumbled on my feet, almost falling over, Bumblebee steadying me. The Autobots were all now in their Cybertronian forms and making their way towards the back of the plane aside from Bumblebee who stayed by my side.

Lennox ran to me and tossed a large backpack into my hands. I gave him a weird look.

"What is this for? What is going on?" I exclaimed as I heard another loud bang and stumbled over again.

I steadied myself by holding onto the wall and looked back at Will.

"They're shooting at us. We've got to get everyone off of this plane before it goes down. Put that on and strap yourself in. Hurry up! We don't have much time," he told me and ran back over to his men.

I looked at the backpack in my hands and realized what it was. It was a parachute. My eyes widened in fear and I threw it to the floor.

"What are you doing? We have to get out of here, Rose," my brother told me.

His parachute was secured around his torso.

"I refuse to jump out of an airplane. Nope. It's not happening," I countered.

A loud voice sounded over the plane's intercom.

"Get them out of here!"

Gracie, my dad, my spastic Uncle Josh and Lynleigh along with several of the other men had already jumped out. Jason picked up the parachute and held it out to me. I shook my head and pushed it away before sitting back against the wall.

"No. I'll stay here. Have fun," I said and waved to him.

He rolled his eyes at me and nodded behind me before throwing on his goggles. He ran to the back of the plane and just jumped out.

The rest of the men and the Autobots had started jumping out as well. I was suddenly picked up by a warm, mechanical hand. I squirmed in Bumblebee's grip, but he held me as tightly as he could without hurting me.

"No! Bee! Please don't do this to me!" I whined as he jogged over to the back of the plane.

Bee jumped off of the plane and I screamed.

I wasn't even wearing protective goggles and he didn't even have a parachute!

Bee held me to his chest, both of his hands tightly encased around my small body. The wind whistled in my ears. I didn't dare try to look down. I was already frightened as it is.

A whooshing sound caught in my ears and Bee jerked to a slow fall. Guess he had a parachute after all. I heard a snip and then Bee landed roughly on the ground. His grip on me loosened and I looked to the ground to see my family, Lennox's team and the rest of the Autobots. Optimus was talking to one of the Autobots and Lennox over by some ruined building. The sound of explosions and gunfire could also be heard in the distance, but right now I wasn't worried about it. I was more worried about the almost instantaneous nausea.

I practically threw myself from Bumblebee's arms and jumped to the ground. Quickly, I ran over to a bush and vomitted. I heard several people running over to me.

"Are you okay?"

I recognized the voice as Gracie's. After I finished, I wiped my mouth and turned around. Gracie, Jason, and Lynleigh all stood staring at me.

"I'm fine. I just really do not like heights."

They all nodded. A whistling sound echoed through the air and I turned my head to see three large missiles flying towards us. I grabbed Lynleigh's hand and ran, Jason and Gracie following closely behind us.

One of the shots landed closely behind us, the impact of it causing us to stumble. The Autobots were shooting at something off in the distance, something of what I could only assume to be those damn robots. I slid Lynleigh and I behind the ruins of what used to be a building, covering my dark jeans in a layer of dust as I did so.

After settling myself, I peeked at the action going on, my eyes widening at the sight. The Autobots and Lennox's team stood, guns cocked, shooting at the very many enemy bots. Civilians were running for cover, some covered in dirt and grime and some injured. Buildings were toppling over and some were struggling to stay upright.

This was going to be an incredibly long day, I thought.
