Reinforcements & Old Friends

Being up at eight o'clock in the morning was most definitely not my cup of tea, but Joshua just had to insist that we make a last minute trip to Washington DC. Gracie and I were in my bathroom doing our makeup. I don't even know why considering the fact that it'll probably be ruined in ten to twelve hours.
I finished applying a layer of smoky brown eye shadow and black eyeliner before doing my mascara. After putting on two coats of my Maybelline 'Falsies' mascara, I was finally finished with my makeup. I grabbed my small utensil bag and walked out of the bathroom, throwing it into my pink Nike duffle bag as I did. I dressed myself in a silver striped shirt, a tan denim jacket, skinny jeans and my tan ankle boots. I let my naturally curly hair down to dry and headed down the stairs, my bag draped over my shoulder.
"Okay. I'm finally ready," I said hoarsely, tossing my bag down onto the couch beside my father and Uncle Josh.
This morning I discovered I had my voice back, although, not completely. I was still a little bit hoarse and my throat still somewhat hurt, but other than that I was fine. I wasn't even sick anymore, yet I still sneezed from time to time.
"Where's Grace and Jason?" Lynleigh asked.
"Right here," Gracie pointed out.
Jason was running down the stairs behind her.
"Alright, then I guess we're ready to go," Joshua said getting up off of the couch and heading over to the front door.
I groaned and picked my bag up off of the couch and headed out the door, the rest following behind Joshua and I. All four of the Autobots were resting in the drive way in their alternate modes. Gracie and I walked over to Bumblebee while Lynleigh and Jason made their way over to Drift and Hound.
"I'll see you in a few hours," my dad said.
I nodded and hugged him before throwing my bag into the backseat of Bee's alt mode and getting in the driver's side of the car, Gracie doing the same after she parted from my dad. I watched as my dad said his temporary goodbyes to Jason and Lynleigh before hopping into Crosshairs's cabin with Uncle Josh. We sped off after Crosshairs and the rest of them. I was not looking forward to this nine hour ride at all.
"Oh my gosh. I didn't pack any food. I am going to die," I exclaimed while hitting my head up against Bee's window.
Gracie gave me a look from the passenger's seat.
"What is it with you and food? One day you're going to be fat. You're already getting squidgy as it is, I mean damn girl. Stop eating," she teased.
"You know, you're a raging dick. Like, you really just hurt my feelings." I said, my voice cracking.
Gracie snorted loudly and covered her mouth. I glared at her as she laughed.
"I'm sorry. I can't help it."
"Bee, can you turn on the radio so I don't have to listen to this she-bitch's voice anymore?" I asked him jokingly.
Gracie laughed harder and the radio came on. The song playing was Eminem and Rihanna's 'Monster'.
I groaned.
All they ever had on the radio these days were songs from like 2013 and 2014. These songs were great when I was fifteen and sixteen years old, but hearing them all the time annoyed the piss out of me. I mean it was 2017 for crying out loud. It didn't hurt to play some new music once in a while.
"All they ever play is old music, oh my gosh. Like, Eminem hasn't released an album in three years. What is wrong with humans nowadays?" I complained.
"You'll get over it. Stop complaining. You know you're still low-key in love with this song," Gracie teased.
"Eh. I'm going to lay down though," I said, climbing over the seats only to end up in the floor.
I grunted as I tried to get up, but my butt was stuck between the front and back seats. Gracie kept snickering. The little bitch.
"Bee, could you maybe please do something? My butt is stuck, bro." I felt a shudder and then the seats shifted ever so slightly.
I sighed in relief as I climbed out of the crevice and into the seats. I threw the bags to the floor and laid down. A thought crossed through my mind, and I instantly got upset.
"You know what's not fair?" I asked them.
Gracie looked at me.
"What?"
"The fact that they're risking their lives to save us yet again and you know good well there's nothing we can do about it," I said.
Gracie was silent. She knew I was right.
"You're too selfless-for your own good-Rosalie," Bee's radio spoke out.
I sighed.
"I'm just saying. I don't think I could ever forgive myself if one of you died while trying to protect us," I told him.
"It's happened plenty of times," he said.
My face dropped. Well.
"I promise one day I will make it up to all of you. I don't care if it's the last thing I do," I said.
The seat lowered beneath me, indicating that he was sighing.
"Well, now isn't the time to worry about that, okay? Let's just go with the flow," Gracie told me.
I just nodded.
Adam Lambert's 'Runnin' sounded through the radio and I started humming along to the tune, Gracie loudly singing. She was having way too much fun considering the circumstances.
"On this road I'm crawling, save me cause I'm falling!" Gracie sang.
I laughed at her. She was horrible.
"Okay, wait for it," she said as she waited for a part in the song to come up.
I snickered and continued humming.
"I've been standing here my whole life, my heart's beating faster, I KNOW WHAT I'M AFTER!" she sang loudly.
Too loudly might I add. I could tell by the way Bee stuttered on the road that it had startled him.
"Gracie, oh my gosh. Shut up, please," I laughed.
She turned and looked at me, a pout on her face.
"Am I really that bad?" she asked, faking a hurt expression, but before I had the chance to respond, a different station on Bee's radio sounded.
"Yes," the voice spoke.
I busted out laughing, hurting my throat slightly in the process. Gracie pouted again and sat back in her seat.
"Well, thanks for those words of encouragement, Bumblebee," she scoffed.
I continued laughing.
"Anytime," he responded.
Gracie sighed.
"Oh, you know Brooke's parents got her a brand new Audi R8 for her eighteenth birthday?" Gracie said with resentment in her voice.
I scoffed. There's no surprise there.
Brooke was mine and Gracie's best friend. We had all became friends in the second grade when Brooke moved to Virginia from Maryland. We were like the three musketeers and practically inseparable. That is, until we got to high school and then she thought she was too good to be friends with us anymore. She started hanging out with the older people and talking mad shit. I confronted her about it eventually, and she claimed that high school changes you and I just simply laughed at her. High school might make you a little bit delusional, but it sure as hell doesn't change who you are as a person. At one point in time, she even managed to steal my boyfriend away from me, and then again our sophomore year. I've resented her from then on.
Her dad's the sheriff and the mayor of my hometown and her mom is a lawyer and a beautician, so they make some serious money. Her and her sisters are so spoiled, it's crazy. Her older sister Paige got a brand new Corvette for her eighteenth birthday, so I'm not all that surprised that she got an Audi R8. I'm just waiting to see what expensive surprise her ten year old sister ends up with when she's Brooke's age.
"I'm not at all surprised," I laughed and stared at the ceiling.
"But still. I'm eighteen and I have to drive my mom's old Trailblazer," she whined.
"Atleast you have something to drive. And isn't an Audi kind of conspicuous for someone in our hometown to drive around?" I asked.
"Yes, but she doesn't care. She's been bragging about it all over Twitter and Facebook," she said annoyed.
I laughed. Who used Facebook anymore?
"Well, let her come at me bragging about it. I'm sure she'd love to hear how I have a Corvette Stingray, a Bugatti Grand Sport Vitesse and one sexy ass Chevrolet Camaro. It'll shut her right up," I smirked and Gracie laughed.
"You're too kind," Bee's radio spoke.
I laughed.
"Well, thank you."
"Wait, she already knows you've got Bumblebee or a Camaro or what the hell ever. Remember that picture you put on twitter a few months ago?" she asked.
I shook my head at her as if to get her to shut up.
"What?" Bee asked.
I glared at Gracie.
"Nothing, man."
"Rosalie." Bee chastised.
I groaned in defeat.
"Okay, fine. I put up a picture of you and I but it was the one of me leaning against your hood. Nobody suspected that you were an alien robot from the planet Cybertron. They only thought I got a brand new Chevy Camaro. .no biggie. You're my best friend. You know that I wouldn't expose you like that," I explained.
I could feel him rolling his optics at my words.
"Whatever."
"See, now he's never gonna take another selfie with me again. Thanks, douche," I pouted.
Gracie just laughed.
"That word is so two thousand fourteen," she said.
"Shut the hell up," I retorted.
She laughed harder. I looked at the clock on Bee's dash and sank back into my seat. It was only nine fifteen. We'd only been driving for about forty five minutes, and I was already over this trip. We had like eight hours to go. This was about to be one long ass ride, and with these two it was going to feel so much longer.
____________________
"Oh my gosh! How much longer?" I groaned in complaint.
I was now sitting back in Bee's driver's seat watching the buildings and houses pass by us in a blur.
"I don't know. Like an hour," Gracie said.
"I'm so hungry and I have to pee. Really really badly. Like, I might piss myself if we don't stop somewhere," I whined.
"Not in my seats, you won't," Bee threatened.
I rolled my eyes.
"Try me, bug," I challenged him.
Suddenly, Crosshairs's voice sounded through the radio.
"What is it, Bumblebee?" he asked.
"I'm hungry and I have to pee, okay? Really badly. Please stop before I end up pissing in Bumblebee's seats," I begged.
"Fine," he responded and then the line disconnected.
A few minutes later, we followed Crosshairs as he pulled off onto an exit.
We drove for a few minutes before finally coming to a McDonald's. Before Bee could even come to a complete stop, I pushed the door open and ran into the building. I found the bathrooms and quickly strutted into the women's to relieve myself. After doing so and washing my hands, I walked back out into the resturant's lobby where my dad, Joshua, Lynleigh, Jason, and Grace were all waiting in line.
"What do you want, Rosalie?" my dad asked as I walked up to them.
"Just get me some chicken nuggets and a tea and I'll be set. I'll be with Bee," I told him and walked over towards the exit doors. "Oh, don't forget my barbecue sauce!" I called over my shoulder before heading back to Bumblebee.
I opened the driver's side door and hopped in.
"Well, I didn't pee in your seats. You should be happy about that," I teased.
I felt the car shudder under me. He was laughing. The opening of the passenger's side door caught my attention and I turned to see Gracie holding a big McDonald's bag and two drinks in her hand. She handed me one of the drinks and sat down in the passenger's seat. I sat my drink down and grabbed the bag from her and reached in to get my chicken nuggets. I smiled as I opened up the box.
"There's something seriously wrong with you," Gracie said giving me a look as she unwrapped her McDouble.
"Don't worry about my life. Eat your stupid hamburger and leave me alone," I retorted as I bit into one of the chicken nuggets.
In minutes, we were racing back down the highway. It didn't take me but five minutes to finish my nuggets and afterwards I was feeling very satisfied. I finished the rest of my tea and laid back in the seat.
"So, how much longer now?" I asked.
"You asked the same question like half an hour ago," Gracie said.
"I know. That's why I'm asking again now," I smirked.
She rolled her eyes and sipped her tea.
"We're here," Bee told us through the radio.
We followed Crosshairs off of another exit and drove for another ten minutes.
"Hey, look! It's the White House!" I exclaimed, pointing to a big white building.
Gracie sighed.
"That's the U.S. Capital Building, Rosalie," she told me.
Oh, well. They all looked the same to me.
We drove down a long street. People were walking along the sidewalks and dozens of shops were aligned by the road. We took a left at the stoplight and drove for about five more minutes until coming to a bridge. We crossed it and drove toward several guarded gates. I looked around at the landscape. There were buildings surrounding us as well as a few concrete walls. I noticed the wording on the side of the main building. It read Department of Health and Human Services. Why would this place need to be so heavily armed?
I looked back at the guards at the gate. Joshua, I assume, spoke to the guards and in minutes the gates were lifted and we were driving through. We came to a large opening in the side of the building and drove in. Planes, helicopters, and jets aligned the walls of the tunnel. We soon came through a large lit area. More planes, jets, and helicopters were visible, some even hanging from the ceiling. This place was insanely huge, it was amazing. People walked to and fro on the upper level of the building. Large walkways and pedestals protruded from either side of the building. What would they need those for?
We came to a sudden but gentle stop. I watched as my dad and my Uncle Josh exited Crosshairs's alt mode and turned their attention towards the giant doorway in the eastern part of the building. A man dressed in a black leather racing jacket, black pants, a black shirt, and black combat boots was walking towards them. He had sandy brown hair which was slightly tousled on top of his head, and light scruff on his face. He looked to be in his mid thirties. He was very attractive.
"Oh my gosh, Gracie. Look at that piece of ass. He's gorgeous," I exclaimed excitedly.
"I know right, like can I marry him please?" Gracie said while gawking at the man.
The sound of Bee's radio broke us out of our trance.
"Don't you two even think about it. He's married-and has a daughter," he said.
Wait, what. How could he possibly know that?
"How do you know that? Do you know him?" I asked him, shock resonating throughout my tone.
"Precisely," Bee said.
He seemed as shocked as I was. Why? I had no clue. I opened the door to the car and got out, walking over to my dad, Uncle Josh, and the attractive man. He noticed me walking over and smiled. I returned it and went to stand beside my dad.
"Oh, this is my daughter Rosalie. Rosalie, this is Colonel William Lennox. He's with a classified strike team called NEST," my dad said.
Colonel Lennox reached out his hand for me and I shook it politely.
"You can call me Will," he explained.
I smiled.
"And you may call me Rose."
The sound of several car doors opening caught my attention. I looked behind me to see Gracie stepping out of Bee and Jason and Lynleigh stepping out of Hound and Drift. They all walked over to us. My dad and Joshua introduced all of them to Colonel Lennox and he greeted them happily.
"If you'll follow me, I'll take you to meet the others," Will said as he lead us through the massive doorway.
Others? I heard the Autobots following behind us. After a few moments of walking, we came to a large hangar, slightly larger than the previous room we had left.
In the middle of the room sat a row of eight cars. A silver Corvette sat next to a golden one. Next to that one was a bright red Ferrari and a bright blue Chevy Volt. A green Chevrolet Spark with black detailing sat next to a black and red Chevrolet Trax. On the other side of them, heavily armed race cars sat side by side, one of them green and the other blue.
These couldn't possibly be more of Uncle Josh's prototypes, could they?
Behind me, I heard scraping metal and loud footsteps. I turned to see that the Autobots had transformed and were staring at the cars with shock and surprise etched into their features.
"Well, I'll be damned," Crosshairs muttered.
More scraping sounded in my ears and I turned back around and saw that the row of cars were transforming. My eyes widened as they all stood up. Gracie came up beside me, examining the sight before her.
"You see what I see right?" she whispered to me.
I nodded and stared at the robots.
"Well, well, well."
"Look who came sashayin' back," the two small, bright green and dark red bots said.
They were similar in size and their facial features were almost identical. I assumed they were siblings or whatever.
"It's absolutely great to see you four," the silver bot said.
He rolled over to the four Autobots, in place of his feet were two large wheels.
"Now, Sideswipe, let's not get too nostalgic," the golden bot said to silver one, or Sideswipe, as he called him.
I noticed they were similar in facial features and in body structure. The only difference between them really was the color of their armor. They must be siblings as well.
"There's no need for your sarcasm, Sunstreaker," the bright blue bot said.
"You've got to be kidding me. How is this even possible?" I heard Drift ask.
The red bot stalked towards us. He nearly stepped on me and Gracie, causing us to jump backwards. Bee took a protective stance in front of us, but I peeked around his leg to watch the robots.
"Oh, it is very possible," the red bot said with a thick Italian accent.
I could not believe my eyes.
"We thought you had all been killed years ago," Hound said, obviously very surprised.
The green and blue race car bots walked over.
"Not particularly. We've been hiding out here ever since the aftermath of Chicago, after you lot fled," the green bot explained to them with a deep Scottish accent.
"We cut all communication with any of the living Autobots. We disconnected our com-links so none of ya' could contact us. .we wanted you to think we were dead. We wanted everybody to think we were dead, and it worked. We were never hunted by those insolent and putrid insects, and Lockdown didn't even think to take the time to look for us," the blue bot with the bright blue dreads spat out.
Wow. Someone was cranky.
"Where were you when we needed ya in Hong Kong, ya' little punks?" Hound asked.
"We couldn't risk exposure. Humans nowadays are much more primitive, much more violent. They would've killed us without even blinking. We were protecting ourselves. It is not our job to defend the humans anymore," Sideswipe explained.
Ouch. Guess we're screwed when this whole Galvatron thing comes into action. But, I wasn't giving up hope yet. I removed myself from behind Bee's leg and walked towards the silver bot. He looked down at me as I approached him.
"Who might you be, young human?" he asked me.
"My name is Rosalie Stalin and I'm with them," I said gesturing back towards the Autobots and my family in the corner. "Listen, I know that you said it wasn't your job to defend the humans anymore, and I agree with you. .it's not, but right now we've got a real issue on our hands. Galvatron, you might know him as Megatron, is back and he means business. He's discovered enough Transformium to build a massive army. .an army big enough to destroy the Earth and eliminate the human species forever and we need your help. They need your help. We can't fight this army alone, and trust me, I'm not asking you to defend the humans. I'm asking you to defend your family, defend my family. I'm asking you to defend the Autobots. Your brothers. Fight for them, fight with them like you did once before. You can help defeat Galvatron once and for all," I finished.
The room was silent and I felt several pairs of eyes on me, which was beginning to make me feel uncomfortable. Sideswipe stared down at me before a sly smile took over his features.
"You know, I like this young femme. She speaks with words beyond her years. She's got spunk. I will fight," Sideswipe said.
I smiled and turned to the rest of the bots.
"I will fight along side you, brother," Sunstreaker said.
"Eh. As long as I get to kill somethin'."
"Count ya' bot in!"
"Count ya' other bot in!"
"I will join you."
"I will fight as well."
"Count me in."
One by one, I could feel the spirits in the room being lifted. I honestly didn't think that my little speech would work. That was way too easy. I figured they'd all be too pissed and paranoid to even drive out of the building, let alone join us to fight a major war. I smiled and Will spoke up.
"How about you introduce yourselves to them now. That'd be lovely," he told them jokingly.
Sideswipe gave him a look and turned back to my family and I.
"The name's Sideswipe," he said smugly, twirling a triangular weapon in his hand.
Sunstreaker walked up and placed a servo on Sideswipe's shoulder.
"And I'm his sibling, Sunstreaker," he said.
The bright red bot and the bright blue one stepped up after that.
"The name's Dino," the red bot said.
I was never going to get over his accent. It was precious.
"I'm Jolt," the bright blue bot told us.
"This here is Mudflap and I'm Skids. We're better known as The Twins," the small green bot said while gesturing to the red and black bot beside him.
They were too hyperactive for my liking, but I had to get over it.
"Me name is Roadbuster and me lad here is Topspin," the green racer said.
Topspin gave us a mock salute before turning to the rest of them.
"So, who are you?" Sunstreaker asked me and my family.
"Well, as I said, I'm Rosalie, but call me Rose if you wish. That's Gracie, Jason, Lynleigh, my dad Joseph and Joshua," I said gesturing to all of them.
All of them except Joshua seemed pretty shocked. I understood why. Everyone had thought the Autobots, aside from the four remaining and Optimus, were dead, and to see eight more of them actually alive was a sight to see. Sideswipe gave a crooked smile and spoke.
"Let's get started then."

"Yanno, this has been one of the best year's of my life and now it's about to turn to shit because of some vengeful ass robot," I complained while staring up at the ceiling of mine and Gracie's temporary bedroom.
It was kind of like a hotel room only it was ginormous, even big enough for Bumblebee who was sitting in the corner shaking his head at me.
"Hey, don't shake your head at me. I'll fight you."
"Come at me," he retorted.
I flicked him off and went back to sulking.
"Rose, we'll be okay. We're gonna make it out of this," Gracie reassured me.
I sighed and thought back to those painful nightmares I had only nights ago.
"Maybe, maybe not," I whispered to myself more or less.
"Huh?" Gracie asked confused.
I looked away from the ceiling to see her and Bumblebee staring at me.
"Nothing."
"You're so annoying," a station from Bee's radio blared out.
I scowled at him.
"Stop being mean. I thought you loved me," I teased and he started laughing.
"Not really," he said.
Ouch.
I gave him a dirty look before looking back at the ceiling.
"Anyway, why aren't you meeting with the others? I figured you would since you're yanno, an Autobot," I asked him.
He just shrugged. Everyone else except for me, Gracie, Lynleigh and Jason were discussing some battle plans or whatever. I figured it'd be boring so I didn't bother staying to chat.
"I'm so bored, you guys," Gracie whined, flipping over on her bed. "Let's go streaking through the streets of DC." I laughed at her.
"We could, but I probably wouldn't be allowed to," I told her.
She looked up at me, her blonde hair falling in her face.
"Who would you tell? They're all in some meeting and Lynleigh and Jason are in their room," she said.
"Well, you see that jerk over there?" I asked pointing to Bumblebee. "Him and Crosshairs don't like it when I wear such 'revealing' clothes, so I doubt he'd let me go streaking." I explained.
She groaned.
"But streaking is actually fun," she whined.
I raised a brow at her.
"What?"
"Nothing, but we could always sneak out," she whispered to me as quietly as possible.
"Don't even think about it," I heard Bee's radio say.
Gracie groaned and turned to him.
"Come on, Bee. You're no fun," she whined.
He just rolled his optics and shook his head.
"Well then, I'm going to sleep," she muttered before climbing under the blankets.
I laughed at her childish behavior and got up. I walked over to the door and got ready to open it, only being stopped by Bumblebee.
"Where do you think you're going-Rosalie?"
"To find some food, Bumblebee. You're welcome to come with me if you'd like," I responded with a raised eyebrow.
He gave me a look before heading over to the freight elevator and getting in.
"Meet you in a minute," I called as I walked out the door.
I ran down two flights of stairs before getting to the bottom floor hallway. It was crazy how huge these hallways were, but I guess they had to be considering the Autobots that were stationed here. I walked down the long corridor and to the freight elevator to wait on Bumblebee. As soon as I relaxed against the wall, I heard a ding. The doors to the elevator opened and Bee's alt mode rolled out, only to transform again. I looked up at him.
"You're really slow. Like seriously, I've been waiting for like five minutes," I teased.
He waved his hand at me before stomping away.
"Wait, can you carry me?" I asked while running up beside him.
He stopped and looked down at me.
"You've got two legs," he said.
I groaned and walked ahead of him. I heard him chuckle behind me. After about two minutes, we walked into the Autobot's hangar. My dad, Joshua, Will, and some dark colored man I hadn't seen before were all sitting around the Autobots. Bee and I walked over to them.
"So, anywhere to get food around here?" I asked as I approached them.
They all turned their attention to me and the large mech behind me.
"Young Rosalie, what a pleasant surprise," Dino said.
I looked at him and smiled.
"It's only been like four hours though," I chuckled and turned to the dark man. "Who are you?" I asked sweetly.
"My name is Robert Epps but I just go by Epps," he said from his seat.
"My name is Rosalie, but you can call me Rose if you'd like," I told him.
He smiled at me and I returned it before turning to my dad and Uncle Josh.
"Dudes, I'm hungry. Where's the food at?"
"Are you aware that eating too much can result in obesity?" Joshua teased.
"Are you aware that I don't care?" I shot back, earning a few chuckles.
He rolled his eyes.
"There's a break room around the corner. You'll find whatever you need in there," Will said, amusement in his voice.
"Thank you, Will," I smiled and went to walk out of the hangar.
"Hey, Bumblebee. Why don't you stay back with us? I'm sure Rosalie will be fine by herself. You don't need to protect her here. It's a military base," Sunstreaker said.
I turned around at the sound of my name.
"Yeah, why you gotta be so clingy? The girl will be fine. Chill out," Skids said.
He was going to get on my nerves. I could already see it. I heard an annoyed whir come from Bee and then he looked down to me. I smiled.
"It's okay, I'll be fine. Just going around the corner, bud," I told him.
He gave me a nod and then walked over to the rest. I walked out of the hangar doors and made my way down the long hallway.
After about two minutes of slowly walking, I came to the end of the hallway. I rounded the corner and just as Will said, the break room was right there. I opened the door and walked in. It was very spacey and looked like a regular kitchen, only there were a lot more tables present.
I walked over to the row of cabinets that lined the walls and opened them. I took out a bag of salt and vinegar chips, and some Nutella and walked to one of the tables to sit down. After getting myself situated, I opened up the bag of chips and unscrewed the cap on the Nutella. I grabbed a handful of chips and laid them down on the place-mat on the table. Individually, I dipped the chips into the Nutella and ate them. It may sound weird, but it's so good.
It was silent, aside from the muffled voices on the television. I finished my snack and went to put away everything.
As I closed the cabinet door, a loud explosion rattled the building, sending me to the ground. I scrunched my face up in confusion. What the hell was that? Debris started falling from the ceiling, and I covered my head. As soon as it stopped, I got up off the floor and rushed over to the door. I opened it and stepped out into the hallway to see rubble everywhere. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a large shadow move back behind the wall. I turned around and started speed walking down the hallway, back towards the Autobot hangar.
I looked behind me, hoping nothing was there like I had thought, but instead I saw a robot. He had his gun pointed at me, ready to shoot. I widened my eyes in fear and began running down the hallway. The sound of the gun shot rang through my ears, and I ran faster. It barely missed me, and instead it hit the floor behind me. I screamed as the impact of the shot sent me hurtling through the air.
'Boy, Sunstreaker and Skids sure had been wrong,' was all that I thought as I hit the ground.
