Fight to the Death

Galvatron was most definitely not easy to defeat. He put up an incredible fight and I wasn't even positive we would defeat him. Many of our men had already lost the battle. It was mostly the Australians we were losing, but our men were being taken down as well and all in all, it was a sad scene to watch.

Thankfully, the Autobots were pulling through. They were fighting hard and bravely against Galvatron. Their determination amazed me. I honestly don't think I could stand watching one of my Autobot family members perish. I had seen that once, or thought I had seen it once, and I never want to see it again. Thinking about it just made me all the more intent on doing what I came here to do in the first place.

I couldn't stand watching this at all. I got up from my spot beside Gracie that was behind an overturned car and ran towards Will. He looked at me wide eyed, but I just ignored it.

"I need you to give me the grenade and the launcher. Like now, please," I declared.

He gave me another look and I ducked away from the flying debris.

"This isn't a toy, Rose. I can't just give it to you. You don't even know how to use it," he countered.

"You don't know half of what I know. Give it to me," I demanded.

"No."

"I'm so sick of this shit," I muttered.

Quickly, while he had his gun in his hand, I made my move. I latched on tightly to the launcher on his back and tore it away from him. Before he had the time to think, I reached into his bag and grabbed the medium sized grenade. After doing so, I ran away from him and out into the streets.

I heard my name being yelled multiple times, but ignored each one of them. I made my way past many collapsed buildings and many bodies. I dodged the Autobots as they fought, careful not tread in their path. I did not want to get stepped on at a time like this.

I came to an alley opening and stepped into it. Even though I was now hiding behind a trash can, I could see clearly everything that was happening out on the field. Most of the soldiers were searching around to see where I had gone, along with Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Hound and Dino. The rest of them continued to fight Galvatron and his minions.

None of them thought to look for me in the alley though, so I took this as an opportunity to load the grenade into the launcher. I pushed the ammo into what I assumed to be its designated firing hole. I locked it and looked back out to the field.

On top of the nearest roof, Optimus was firing many shots at Galvatron. Galvatron tried to fight back, but it was no use. He was growing weaker and Optimus clearly had the upper hand. My chance was nearing. All I needed was one shot and this would all be over and I will have finally repaid the Autobots for what they've done for me. .for us.

Optimus shot Galvatron once more. It struck him in the chest which sent him flying off the roof and onto the streets below. Since Galvatron was down, I ran out from the alley and into the streets. I ran as fast as I could past the Autobots and the soldiers. Many of them began yelling my name as they saw me.

A loud shot was fired behind me, but I didn't stop running. I was about four hundred feet away from Galvatron when I felt it. .

The scorching heat and the familiar wind. I felt like I had just been thrown in a volcano and left out to let the lava dry. I was flipping through the air at a speed so fast, not even Optimus, who was standing roughly one hundred feet away, could save me. I could feel the air escaping my lungs and the oxygen leaking out of my brain.

This is it, I thought. This time, no one can save me.

Something incredibly hard hit my back, sending an immense amount of pain coursing through my body. I could almost feel my organs shifting inside my body as I rolled viciously across the pavement and over the mountains of rubble. I felt a scrape across my face and then a small prick in my head. Before I knew it, it all stopped. I was far too weak to completely open up my eyes, but I squinted them open just enough to see the many blurry bodies running towards me. The only sound I heard as I laid on the hard ground was my name being called and whirring. Soon enough, everything was black.

Clouds, mountains and streams surrounded me. The sun shone brightly through the clouds and I could smell the flowers blooming around me. I could hear the beautiful sound of the birds whistling and the squirrels rustling in the trees. The air around me was cool, yet it had a very familiar warm and comfortable feeling to it.

Confused, I looked around at the scenery. The last thing I remember is being in Australia about to finally get rid of Galvatron once and for all. This was most definitely not Australia. I began to panic, but calmed down when I saw a figure in the distance walking towards me.

It looked to be a woman. As she got closer, I noticed her long white dress. Her dark hair flowed in the wind and her olive toned skin shone brightly in the sunlight, as did her smile. Shock over took my features as I recognized her. This was no ordinary woman. This was my mother.

Without thinking, I ran to her and engulfed her in a massive hug. The tears made their way out of my eyes as I held on to her petite figure. I heard her laugh. It was that very same laugh that I hadn't heard in three years. She gently removed me from her and held my hands in her own.

"Rosalie. It's so nice to see you, sweetheart. But you musn't be here. Now is not your time," she told me.

I blinked away the tears and looked at her.

"What do you mean?"

She just gave me a sorry look. My eyes widened in realization. I looked down to see that I was wearing a white dress, very similar to that of my mother's.

"No. I can't be," I cried.

"You aren't as of right now. They are doing all that they can to help you. It isn't looking very well though. But, you have unfinished business, Rosalie. You have to go back. You can't just leave your family like that, and you know I'm not just talking about your dad and them."

"But, what about you?" I asked her.

"I'll be fine. My time has come and gone, Rose. Just know that I'm okay. I've been okay for the past three years. I've never felt this great in my forty four years. Trust me," she explained.

"We miss you, mom."

"I know. But, that isn't necessary. I'm always with you. I'm always with each of you. But, you have to get back now, Rose. He's waiting for you. You can't just leave him like this," she said.

"Who's he? What do you mean?" I asked frantically.

"You'll see in time, Rosalie. I have to go now. You need to get back. You have to finish this," she told me and let go of my hand.

I began panicking again.

"No. Please don't leave me," I pleaded, still slightly confused by her previous words.

She began walking to the forest and only looked back to give me one of her beautiful smiles.

"Goodbye, sweetheart. I will always love you," she said.

Her figure soon disappeared from sight. I was alone again. The tears flew down my face in a steady pace. Watching her leave the first time was painful but this time it was excruciating.

My mother's words clouded my thoughts. Him. .who was he? What did she even mean by that? And my family. .I had to get back to them, only I didn't know how to. I had to finish this once and for all, but how could I without a way back?

Frustrated, I laid down on the grass and closed my eyes. I thought of my family and how they must be feeling right now. They thought I was dead, but in reality, I wasn't. I was just looking for a way back to them.

A gust of wind flew past me, sending a shiver down my spine. I sat up and looked around at my surroundings. The scenery was changing before my eyes. The only thing I could see was black. I felt a sudden jerk, and then everything was over.

I gasped at the sudden intake of air. Sitting up, I barked out a cough. My body was screaming in pain, but right now I wasn't really worried about it. I looked around to see several pairs of sad eyes and optics looking down at me.

In front of me, my dad smiled at me. Tears were fresh in his eyes. He squeezed me tightly and I slightly winced at the pain. He let me go and I coughed into my hand, this time I coughed out a little blood. I wiped the liquid onto my black pants and carefully stood up.

I searched around for the weapon that would end all of our misery for good. Spotting it on the ground underneath a slab of concrete, I limped over and grabbed it. With all of the strength that I could possibly manage, I held it up toward the tan mech who was now stationed on the roof aiming his gun at something on the ground below. He definitely wasn't going to expect this. I concentrated on his chest region and then shot the launcher. Thankfully, he was far away enough that no one on the ground would be effected by the blast.

The gun shifted backwards, and me not being strong enough to physically hold myself up, fell backwards and onto the street. I threw the weapon aside and sat up, holding my torso. A loud explosion could be heard, followed by a cool breeze. On top of the building, Galvatron collapsed. I watched as his metal body instantly froze and fell apart. Around us, the prototypes dropped one by one.

I sighed in relief and laid back down on the road. A few tears made their way down my cheeks as I looked up into the sky.

"It's finally over," I whispered to no one.

Fatigue was taking over my body, but honestly, I was terrified of closing my eyes. As hard as I tried to keep them open, it just wouldn't work. At least if I went, I'd leave knowing that my family was no longer in danger. I'd leave knowing that they wouldn't have to fight anymore. It was over. .it was finally over.

Soon enough, the darkness that I had come to know so well, consumed me.
