"The place is a shit house!!" A man in his near mid thirties yelled. (33 -34)

"Don't you dare blame me you piece of crap!!" yelled a woman three years younger.

However what they didn't know was that woman carried away with an infant and an unconscious two year old child.

'I must not let them pursue in their steps.'

She runs outside closed doors to an nightmare everything was burning, buildings, houses, orphanages, and worst people.

The woman holding the children begins to fear until a carriage stops in front of her and her eyes widen.

'Why is he here!?'

"Hurry, it's to dangerous!!" She nods and was about to take his offered hand when she heard yelling and immediately turns back to the man helping her and smiles.

"Take the princess's somewhere safe, King of Atlaios." The minute she hands them over a vibrant light shines, causing a person awake abruptly.

They inhale and exhale slowly before sitting up in the makeshift bed they created in a tree.

"Geez." They say. "You'd think I get use to the dream by now..." They run a hand through light brown hair, while also look up to the sky with their muli-color eyes. "Hope today's interesting."

They sigh, fixed their clothes and gathered their stuff before leaping from the tree and head into town.

They put on a poncho to hide their presence, weapon, and "Sword", and wore Sunglasses to hide their eyes from "curious" people.

She wonders around town, aimlessly, before accidentally bumping into a kid around their age.

"Ouch." They both groan as he immediately stands up with blue streaks. "Whoa!! Sorry miss I wasn't watching where I was going~!!"

They blink.

"How do you know I'm a she??"

He blinks before laughing, and helps the person up.

"Cause I don't think a boy can have style like that, and we definitely don't thinks a guy can pull off a skirt like that."

They, female, smile as she dusts off her knee length white skirt with hip slits all the way down to the end.

"Guess you be right, umm?"

"Tsurugi, Tsurugi Tatewaki!" He shouts confidently, as the female giggles at his "adoring" behavior, causing the boy to blush, but no one notices, as the girl stands tall and straight.

"I'm Viana. It's a pleasure to meet you." She says with her right hand over her heart, making the boys blush darken.

'She's got manners... grandma would love her!!'

"Hey I got an idea~!!" Viana looks to him curiously and blinks. "Do you want to come to my house for dinner?? My grandma is an awesome cook, you'll love it~!!"

Viana thinks before smiling and nods her head.

"Sure why not? It couldn't hurt in all honesty."

"Sweet~!!!!" He shouts while jumping up and down, before grabbing hold of Viana's hand and leads her through, what she believes is his home town.

Tsurugi's POV

After grabbing Viana's hand, I dragged her basically throughout Pacifis, while also making sure to say hello to everyone along the way.

“Tsurugi!! Where is it we're heading??” I blushed at her speech.

‘Man! This girl speaks like grandma does!’ I chuckle at my thoughts as I turn my head slightly her way.

“Don't you worry Viana~!! We'll be there soon, promise~!!” She giggles.

“My aren't you spirited~.” I smiled at that comment and continue to run.

As I was running I noticed that Viana was slowly falling behind, so I let up on my speed, so she could steady herself, and kept steady pace with her while doing so I noticed her breathing heavily. I look at what she was wearing and instantly noted that she was wearing all black… practically anyway.

‘She'll over heat!!! Let's see~.’ I then began to think before I remember the lake I found near where we were and picked her up.

“T-Tsurugi!?” I smile at her, as I carried her to the lake, and no pun intended when I say she was way to hot.

The lake was in my view as I walk close enough, to where I could sit her on the grass, and she took off her flats before placing her feet into the water, letting out a content sigh before laying back into the grass.

Her hood fell down in the process, and I blushed at the sight of her light chestnut hair.

‘She's really something to look at.’

I heard sigh and looked down to see Viana.. asleep??

‘That's not the best place to sleep 😅.’

I walked to her, and was going to pick her up before I heard what sounds like humming.

I place my ear to her lips and heard her humming some foreign lullaby.

It was pretty, honestly if her humming a lullaby was pretty I can only imagine what her singing it will be like.

Soon the lullaby stopped, and I hear nothing but easy breaths and swishing… . Swishing???

I blinked before getting knocked out of it, literally (-_-), by something, and when I looked I saw a tail!?

‘She's got a tail!!!..... Is it real?’

I reached to grab it, but it moved away, I tried to grab it again, but it keeps moving.

By now, you guessed it. I'm playing Cat and Mouse with a tail of a girl.

“Stop moving..” I grumbled, so I didn't hear groans until I saw the hair on the tail stand up.

“Huh??” I looked and saw Viana with animal ears, but they were flat. That tells me she relieving something, or is having a nightmare.

I then begin to think.

‘What's the best way to wake up a girl, and a animal without getting hit??’ I did my thinking pose and thought of something… . I just hope this doesn't get me hit.

I crawled up to Viana and reached for her ears and gently rubbed them, and my eyes widened at how soft and fluffy they are!!!

I saw her tail wag slightly, making me smile, but then I heard purring????

‘She purred?? She just purred!! Kawaii~!!’

She stirred before lightly fluttering her eyes open, which caused me to blush on sight and turn my head the other way… but she pulled me back, which made it worst.

“Tsurugi? Are you alright?” I couldn't speak do I just nod with conference. “Are you sure?” I look to her with a cheeky smile. “But you are red, and is that steam???” I couldn't take it, I fell back and passed out.

I laid on something comfy, while listening to the trees, birds, water, and a lullaby-- wait lullaby?

I open my eyes slightly and saw a figure above me humming.. It looked like Viana.

My eyes adjusted a little and saw that it was Viana, and then I noticed my head was in her lap, but I think she didn't mind so I stayed put taking in deep breaths.

“Do you feel better now Tsurugi?”

I nodded my head to her with a smile.

“Good, I'm glad.” I looked to her, and forget the cheesiness but she looked almost like angel, with the sun shining on her from this angle, plus the birds around us show no sign of leaving, I wonder why? “You know, you had me worried.” I look to her with a curious look. “When you fainted I had to take my glasses off in order to see if you had life left hehe~.”

I blushed then realized she's right, her glasses were off, and I could clearly see her eyes but she kept them closed.

“Why are your eyes closed?” She shrugs her shoulders.

“Precautions.” “Of what??” “I don't know. All I know is that people would do anything to keep me when they see my eyes that is why I keep them close if my glasses are off.”

My eyes widen as I immediately felt a sense of protection and got up, taking her with, and grabbing her shades before running off.

“T-Tsurugi!!” I eased up the pace and gently threw her on my back.

“There~! That should be easier on you.” She made a sound of confusion, as I gave her a cheeky smile. “I'm taking you home, you need the rest, and I need to repay you for taking care of me.”............ “Even if it was your fault to start with..” I mumbled.

“What was that??” I grew blue streaks. “I didn't hear it.” I mentally sigh in relief, as we made it to the house where I saw grandma.

“Oh~! Tsurugi your home. Oh my~!” She immediately spotted Viana on my back and walks toward us as I put her down. “Tsurugi who is the lovely young lady you brought home~?”

I smile and and told Viana to introduce herself.

She smiles and nods before walking up to grandma… I gotta stop her.

“Woah wait walking blind!!!” She stops saying “oh.” as grandma grew curious and asked her if she really was blind and she shook her head no, and told her the same thing she told me.

“I see~. Well your safe here my dear, so you don't have to hide from us.” I smiled and looked to Viana, who was wearing a surprise look and smiles while crying red fluids?? “Oh dear~, why are you crying blood?”

‘Wait. Did she just say “blood”!?’

“I've always cried blood. Ever since that day happened, and onward.” I look to her surprise as well as shocked. “I just try not to cry in front of others. I don't want them to feel bad for my sorrow.” My eyes softened as grandma hugs her and asks her if she and I could see them, and she said yes.

I walked to her side and placed my arm around her as a means of comfort and she looks to me and smiles before slowly opening her eyes while looking down.

She looks to grandma and I saw a surprise look.

“Dear, you will be safe here~, I promise you.”

Viana looks down a little.

“But I don't wish to be a bother.” Grandma smiles and the hugs the both of us.

“As long as you're with my grandson you'll be fine my dear~.”

I heard sniffles and smiled while bringing her slightly closer to me.

She looks to me and smiles, as my eyes widen I surprised by her beautiful rainbow like eyes, before she looks down a little with her smile still where it needs to be.

“Thank you.”

Grandma smiles before heading off to make food and I show Viana to her room before we both head down stairs to see a slightly upset grandma.

“What's wrong grandma??”

She turns to us and gives an small smile.

“I have little food, and I don't know how to make food from scratch~.”

My eyes soften before I saw Viana step up.

“Can I help? I have a recipe for scratch Butter Noodles you may use.” Grandma nods as I for the two.

After a while, they bring the food over and albeit it looked good.

I take a bite and went to heaven!!!!

‘This is delicious~!!!!!’

“My dear~, feel free to help me cook any time~!” Viana giggles and nods her head in acceptance before grandma told us that it was time for bed, and we nod, and head upstairs to our rooms.

“Night Viana.” I give her a cheeky smile, as she gives me a kind smile which makes me immediately feel hot.

“Goodnight to you too, Tsurugi.”

I nodded as I watch her slowly close the door, which was my signal to head to my room.

I placed my hand on the knob and smile before walking into my room and flopped onto my bed while giving a content sigh.

‘I made an interesting friend~.’

With that thought I fell asleep peacefully.
