REMEMBER ME

Beth's POV

I wake up to the sound of the door opening. I move and look. Raven. I get up and quickly walk over to her, pulling her into a hug. She quickly hugs me back.

"I'm so sorry." I say to her.

She shakes her head. "No." She says. "Don't apologize. It's not your fault." She tells me. "You lost him too." She says. I sigh and nod. "Can we talk outside?" She asks. I nod and look at Lincoln, he was looking at us. He nods. I walk outside with Raven.

"What's up?" I ask her once I close the door.

"Clarke is making us bring Finn's body to Lincoln's old village. I wanted to know if you wanted to come with us." She says to me.

"Yeah, yeah, of course. Let me grab my stuff." I say to her. She nods. "I'll meet you outside." She nods again and walks away.

I walk back in Lincoln and I's room. I walk over to my extra clothes and take off my shirt and grab another one. "I um, they're bringing Finn- Finn's body to your old village. I guess to burn them with the people he killed." I say putting on my shirt and grabbing my jacket. "I'm going with them. I get it if you don't want to go." I say to him, putting my sword on my back.

He gets up and walks over to me. "I'm going with you." He says. I look at him and nod. He leans down and kisses me. I kiss him back.

We soon pull away.

"Come on." He says.

We were now walking to the village. Raven was sitting on a cart with Finn's body. I offered to sit with her but she told me to just go walk with Lincoln. Clarke and Bellamy were walking in front of us. Octavia walking behind us with another grounder she got along with. I think his name is Kai.

I look at Lincoln, he was looking around. We were near the village. "Hey." I say to him.

He looks down at me. "You can talk to me, you know." I say to him. He nods. I give him a small smile.

It was now night and Lincoln walking around. I was sitting near our tent. It was a little farther away from everyone else's.

"Natrona." I hear Indra say to him. He walks back over to me. He sits down next to me.

"Natrona?" I ask him, confused on what she said.

"Traitor. My people fear me. They think the reaper is still inside." He tells me. I shake my head.

"You can talk to me about what happened, you know that." I say to him.

"I can't." He tells me. I give him a small frown.

"You're not that monster. Not anymore." I say to him.

He looks at me. "I hope you're right." He says to me.

I lean over and kiss him. He kisses me back.

Lexa and Gustus approach the village, on horses.

"Open the gate!" Lexa commands.

"Weapons." Gustus says.

"We need to disarm before we enter." Lincoln says. I sigh. Lincoln lays his dagger in the bin. I put my sword and a few daggers in the bin.

Clarke, Bellamy, and my dad lay their weapons in the bin. Raven stands in front of the grounder who disarms her one weapon at a time.

"heda, hogeda clear." Gustus says and we walk in.

"Heda, welcome back!" Some yell.

"Why don yu brought em hir?" A Grounder yells.

"wamplei kom skai kru!" Another yells.

"murderers go houm!"

"Skaikru don jak eting op kom ai ai houmon, ai goufa." A grounder yells at the commander. His family, wife, his child.

"Step aside." Gustus says.

"murderers laik nou welcome hir." The man says.

Lexa gives Gustus a signal and he attacks the Grounder man knocking him and ground and proceeds to beat him.

"Commander, stop him, please. They'll blame us for this too." Clarke says.

"Teik em live." Lexa says and Gustus stops beating the man. "The Sky People march with us now anyone who tries to stop that will pay with their life." She says.

"Warm welcome." I mutter to Lincoln as we keep walking.

I was standing next to Raven and Lincoln. They were about to burn Finn and the others.

"Kru gon Tondc. in faya, osir cleanse the pain gon the past." Lexa says.

"People of Tondc. In fire, we cleanse the pain of the past." Lincoln translates to us.

Lexa is handed a torch to conduct the ritual. "Clarke." Lexa says. I look at the blond, I had a glare on my face but I don't care.

Clarke takes the torch. She lowers it towards the pyre with the help of Finn and it burns)

"Yu gonplei ste odon." Clarke says. Your fight is over.

I start whispering something, causing Raven to look at me. "In peace may you leave the shore. In love may you find the next." I take a deep breath. "Safe passage in your travels, till our final journey to the ground." I whisper. I close my eyes, picturing my best friend. "May we meet again."

I look at Raven, she had tears in her eyes. I give her a nod and a small smile. I look over at Lincoln, he was looking at me, probably wondering what I said meant. "It's a travelers thing. My grandma used to say it all the time." I say to him. He nods at me and I give him a small smile.

I look at see my dad, I give him a small smile and nod. He does the same.

We were now at a table. The grounders on one side, us on the other, along with Lincoln and Kai.

"Please accept this gift, Commander. We drink this at special occasions I believe this qualifies." My father says. He hands her a bottle of liquor. Gustus takes it.

"Thank you, Marcus of the sky people." Lexa says.

"You're welcome, Lexa kom trikru." He replies. "Just uh don't drink too much of it." He adds.

"Clarke, let us drink together." Lexa says.

"It would be my pleasure." Clarke says.

Gustus hands Lexa two goblets each which she fills. She hands one to Clarke.

"Heda, allow me." Gustus says and takes a sip from the goblet.

"Today we celebrate out peace, tomorrow we plan our war. To those we've lost, to those we shall soon find." Lexa says.

Gustus collapses, poisoned.

"This wasn't us! You have to know this wasn't us!" Clarke exclaims.

"Nou teik em die!' Lexa yells. They take him fro the room. I look at Lincoln, wide eyed.

"Everybody out! Search them!" Indra yells.

"NO! No, we didn't do this." Clarke says.

"Gustus warned me about you but I didn't believe him." I hear Lexa say as a grounder comes up to search me.

"Lexa, please-"

"Tell me something Clarke, when you plunged the knife into the heart of the boy you loved did you not wish that it was mine?" I hear Lexa ask Clarke.

"Heda." A grounder says, pulling something out of my coat. I look at him wide eyed.

"That's not mine!" I yell.

"This was in her coat." The guy says. I shake my head.

"I'm telling you it's not mine! He put it there when he searched me! It's not mine." I say but I know she doesn't believe me. I look at Octavia.

"No Sky Person leaves this room!" Lexa yells.Lexa leaves.

"Indra! Indra wait! Let me speak for them!" Lincoln says.

"You are them." Indra says then leaves, locking us in.

I look at Lincoln. "It wasn't mine." I say.

"I know." He says, nodding.

I was now sitting next to Lincoln. "I don't know how it got there. I promise, it wasn't mine." I say, tears threatening to escape.

Clarke walks up to me and him.

"Beth, I need to know the truth." She says to me. I look at her with a glare.

"I'd step back if I was you." I say to the blond. I was angry, and not just about this. I was angry she killed Finn.

"You wanted me to kill Lexa yesterday if you tried to poison her I need to know.

"I never said for you to Kill Lexa." I say.

"Beth-" I cut her off by punching her in the face.

"You're the only murderer here Clarke!" I yell.

She starts talking to a wall. I look at her confused before Abby helps her up and brings her over somewhere else.

Raven walks over. "Raven, don't start." I say to her.

"I know you didn't do it." She says. "I don't think any of us did." She tells me.

I hear Clarke yell at her mom. We, and I mean all of us, look over to the two.

"What I did to Finn was nothing like what you did to him!" Clarke says.

"Don't do this now Clarke!" Abby says.

"I was protecting everyone. I didn't have a choice you did!" Clarke says. I look over at my dad. And we share a look.

"No!" Abby says.

"You turned him in!" Clarke says. I roll my eyes and walk over to my dad, tuning out their conversation.

I sit next to him. "I didn't do this." I say to him.

"I know you didn't." He says to me.

"What do you think they're gonna do to me?" I ask him.

"I don't know Beth." He says.

Lincoln walks over. "It won't be good." He says. I look at him, confused. "They think you tried to kill the Commanders protector. They won't like this at all." He says.

"They gonna kill me?" I ask him.

"A slash from a dagger by each person in this village." He says. I sigh. "I won't let anything happen." He tells me. I shake my head.

"You need to." I say. He and my father look at me confused. "I can't let you get hurt not again." I say to him. "I'm not losing you." I say, looking straight to Lincoln.

A little time has past. I was standing with Kai, Octavia and Lincoln.

"Who would want her dead?" My father asks us all.

"Too many to count. Forming the alliance was a risk. Especially with what Finn did at this village." Lincoln replies.

"So it had to be someone trying to break the alliance." Octavia says. Indra plus a few guards walk in.

"How's Gustus?" Lincoln asks.

"Gustus is ok." A guard replies.

"Take her away." Indra says. A few guards come towards me. I back away. I look at Octavia, before trying to make a break for it but one grabs my arm, harshly.

"Wait wait what are you doing?" Lincoln asks, looking at me worried.

"She didn't poison anyone!" Bellamy yells.

"I argued for all of you to die, but the Commander is merciful. She wants only one." Indra says.

"She's innocent." Lincoln says.

"I don't care! They move they bleed!" Indra says.

"Hey stop, let her go!" Octavia yells as they drag me out of the room.

They tied me to a post. I was about to be cut by 1000 cuts, lovely.

Lincoln, Octavia, Kai and the rest were watching. The took my jacket and shirt leaving me in my tank top and jeans. My hair was still in the grounders style braids.

Lexa walks up. "I take no joy in this, Beth, but this time justice will be done." Lexa says to me.

"How is this justice?" I ask her. "I didn't do this."

She takes her dagger and cuts my arm. I hold in a scream. Indra walks up and cuts my stomach. I let out a small scream. That hurt.

A few more people came up and put cuts on my body. Some hurt worse than others.

I look over and see Nyko hug Lincoln. I turn back to Gustus, who was about to cut me next.

"I need that bottle, now! Stop!" Clarke says, running up.

"Let her pass." Lexa says.

"One of your people tried to kill you, Lexa. Not one of mine." Clarke says.

"You should have run." Indra threatens.

"I can prove it." Clarke says. Clarke takes the bottle and drinks it. Nothing happens to her.

"Explain." Lexa says.

"The poison wasn't in the bottle, it was in the cup." Clarke says.

"A trick Commander, do not be fooled." Gustus says. I scoff, causing my stomach to hurt worse.

"It was you." Bellamy says looking at Gustus. "He tested the cup, he searched Beth." Bellamy says. He's right.

"Gustus would never harm me." Lexa says.

"You weren't the target, the alliance was." Bellamy says.

"We didn't do this and you know it." Clarke says.

"You've been accused, Gustus. Speak true." Lexa commands.

Gustus begins speaking. "This alliance would cost you your life Heda. I could not let that happen." Gustus says to Lexa.

"This treachery will cost you yours. Put him on the tree!" Lexa says.

"Get me the hell off this damn tree." I say and Lincoln, O and Bellamy come over and help me.

I was lifted off the tree and into Lincoln's arms. I let out a groan when he accidentally touches one of the deeper cuts.

Gustus was tied to a tree, people took turns cutting him as they did to me. I had a blanket wrapped around me. I was standing next to Lincoln and Raven.

"This is what would've happened to Finn?" She asks us. Lincoln nods.

Lexa steps forward to deliver the final blow to Gustus.

"Be strong." He says to her.

Lexa takes her sword readying to strike. "Yu gonplei ste odon." She delivers the final blow, killing him.

"We're not so different. Are we?" Abby asks my dad.

"No." I answer for him. They both look at me but I walk away.

The Sky People are sitting around a fire. I was sitting in front of Lincoln. He was sitting on a log and I was in front of him on the ground, laying my head on his knee.

"How did you know it was Gustus?" Lincoln asks Bellamy who sat across from us.

"You'd do anything for her to protect her. So it made sense." Bellamy says, looking down at me then back to Lincoln. Bellamy was a lot like another brother, and I'm glad.

"And what of the thanks you got?" I ask.

"Guys! Listen to this!" Raven says walking up with a radio.

"47 of us are trapped inside Mount Weather." It said.

"Jasper." I whisper, sitting up. "Talk to him, say something." I say.

"It's repeating." Raven says. I sigh.

"We don't know how much time we have left, please hurry." Jasper says from the radio.

"We need to do this now. We've got the alliance now is the time to use it." Bellamy says.

"We need an inside man. You were right without someone on the inside to lower their defenses, turn off the acid fog an army's useless. You should go." Clarke says to Bellamy.

"I thought you hated that plan. That I would get myself killed." Bellamy says.

"I was being weak, it's worth the risk. My map of Mount Weather. Find a way to get on that radio and talk to us. Good luck." Clarke says then walks away.

"Bell how are you gonna-" Octavia gets cut off by Lincoln.

"I can get you through the tunnels." I look at Lincoln in disbelief.

"You can't go back there, not yet." I say to Lincoln.

"Let me show you what to look for." Raven says.

Raven leads Bellamy away so it was just me and Lincoln. I look up at him.

"I have to. I need to face what I've done." He says to me

"Fine, then let's face it, together. I'll go with you." I say to him.

"No you're needed here." He says. I frown. "You know our ways, without that this alliance will fail." Lincoln says.

"I won't let that happen, I promise." I say to him.

"I know you won't." He says to me.

A little while later we were in our tent, just laying there.

"Promise me you'll be safe." I say to him. He looks down at me.

"I promise." He says.

I lean up and kiss him. He kisses me back.

I soon pull away. "My mom once told me that not all monsters do monstrous things. And I could tell that yesterday you didn't really believe me when I said you weren't a monster and I just, remember that not all monsters do monstrous things." I say to him.

He leans down and kisses me. I kiss him back. He moves me so I'm on my back and he's leaning over me.

The next morning, it was time for Lincoln and Bellamy to leave.

I hug Bellamy. "Please be safe." I say to him.

"When aren't I?" He asks.

"Shut up." I say. "Be safe." We pull away from the hug and he hugs Octavia.

I hug Lincoln, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Please, please. Be safe. I don't want to lose you. Not again."

"You won't." He says to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "I'll be safe." He says. I nod.

We pull out of the hug. I crash my lips onto his.

"Be careful." I say once we pull away.

"I will." He says.

"I'm sorry I keep saying it." I say to him.

"I know. It's fine. I'll be okay." He says. He kisses me lightly one last time before pulling away.

I look at Bellamy and Lincoln after Bell walks over. "Look out for each other." I say. They both nod.

They soon leave. I take a deep breath, going to my tent, starting to take it down.

Octavia walks over. "They'll be fine."

"I know." I say to her. "I just don't want to lose another person. And I know you don't want to either." I tell her. She nods. "Okay, so help me take down this damn tent while you can tell me what's going on with you and Kai." I say to her with a smirk.

She puts on a fake innocent face. "I don't know what you're talking about." She says. I scoff.

"Sure you don't." I say. I turn to her. "Start talking." I say.

I finally finished this chapter. It will probably be the last one for a few weeks. I am moving Saturday and I won't be able to type for a while. But please comment. I will try to do another chapter as soon as I can after I get settled into the new house. Thanks for reading. Bye.
