LONG INTO AN ABYSS.

Beth's POV

We were in the dropship. Well Octavia and I were. I was staring at Lincoln. I don't know how to save him.

Bellamy was getting Clarke, and seeing if she could help somehow. Lincoln starts thrashing around in the chains. It reminds me of the first time Bellamy had him chained up. But this time, it's different. If Lincoln gets out he could kill O and I.

I look up as I see Clarke come up the hatch. He starts growling and thrashing around. She jumps back and I wince just at him. He's different. And a part of me is scared. Not of him but of what the did yo him.

"It's ok. It's ok. He's been restrained." Bellamy says to her. He was still growling and pulling on the restraints.

"I can't believe we're back here again." Clarke says.

"Can you help him?" I ask Clarke, a scared look on my face as he was still growling. I was still sitting as O, her and Bellamy were standing. I hate listening to this but I can't leave him.

"I don't know." Clarke answers. I sigh and look down. "I knew Mount Weather controlled the Reapers." She says as he continues growling. "I had no idea they were creating them."

"If they can do that to Lincoln... What are they doing to our friends?" Bellamy asks. I put my head in my hands as the metal was clanking as Lincoln tried to get out, growling.

It's been like ten minutes, I was now standing shining a light at Lincoln as Bellamy and the rest of us were looking at him. I share a look with O and Bellamy.

He keeps trying to pull forward, trying to escape. He starts shaking really badly. "What? What- what's wrong with him?" I ask Clarke.

"He's convulsing." Clarke says.

"So, what does it mean?" Octavia asks.

"What happened to his leg?" Clarke asks. I sigh. She looks at me as I stare at Lincoln's leg.

"I shot him." I say. I stare at Lincoln. Is this my fault?

"Clarke, he's lost a lot of blood." Bellamy says. She looks back at Lincoln and steps forward slightly. Lincoln starts growling at her and thrashing.

"Can you shine the light on his neck?" She asks. I move the light to Lincoln's neck. "Needle marks."

"You think being drugged?" Bellamy asks.

"Maybe." She says.

The restraint comes out and he hits Clarke, grabbing her, trying to eat her? I run up. "Lincoln!" I yell. He throws his arm out, hitting me making me fly backwards into the dropship wall.

I fall to the ground. I see Bellamy run up, hitting him. Lincoln throws the two away. He takes the restraints off. His leg ones were still on as he tries to reach us. He starts trying to pull at the restraints on his legs. I was standing now. When Bellamy runs up with on of the electroshock stick things. Lincoln gets out of the restraints, throwing Bellamy to the ground, punching him. Clarke goes to stop Lincoln, only to be pushed down.

I grab a poll and run up and hit Lincoln on the back, he looks at me and I hit him again, knocking him out. I throw the poll down and fall to the ground, staring at him.

He was now restrained to the ground. Clarke was looking at the bullet wound. "We have to get the bullet out." She says to us. I nod. "Hold his leg down." She says. Bellamy holds his leg down.

After Clarke got the bullet out, I tried to give him water, causing him to smack it out of my hand. I sigh. I look at O. "Can you please go get some more?" I ask her. She nods.

I sigh looking at Lincoln. "Beth, it's out of his system. He'll be okay." Bellamy tells me.

"You can't help me with this one Bell." I say to him. He sighs.

"Your mom would be proud." Bellamy tells the blond.

"My mom would know how to save him." She replies.

I look at Lincoln. "You're gonna be okay. We'll save you." I whisper to him. The dropship hatch opens revealing Octavia and Nyko.

Bellamy goes to go after him but I stop him. "Leave him alone. He's Lincoln's friend. Their healer." I say to him. "Hi Nyko." He nods at me. I look at Lincoln. "He's seizing!" I say, rushing to his side.

Nyko looks through his satchel and pulls out a vial. "Yu gonplei ste odon." He says and was about to pour it in his mouth but Clarke moves her hand so if falls in her hand instead of Lincolns mouth.

"Wait." She says. I look at the blond confused. "Back off right now." She says to Nyko. I look at him confused. Yu gonplei ste odon. It's what they say right before death." I look at Nyko in shock. "He's not trying to heal him, he's trying to kill him."

"Is that true?" I ask Nyko. He nods.

"Yes. Death is the only way." He replies.

"There has to be a way to save him." I say.

"None that I've seen." He tells me. I look down at Lincoln, tears in my eyes.

Finn comes up the hatch. "We have to go, the camps leaving." Finn tells us.

"I'm not leaving him." I say, looking down at Lincoln.

"You." Nyko says and goes to attack.

"Get off him." Bellamy says, taking out his gun, pointing it to Nyko. He holds Finns neck tighter.

"You slaughtered my people; Elders, children, innocent." Nyko says. I think back to Artigas.

"Nyko!" Octavia yells.

"Nyko! Nyko stop it. You're killing him." I yell.

"Blood must have blood." Nyko says.

I shake my head and look at Lincoln. "Guys! He's not breathing!" I yell.

"His heart stopped." Clarke says. "Move." She says, she moves forward and starts to pump at his chest. I had some tears running down my face.

I hear a soft gasp come from him. "Oh god." I say. I look at Lincoln. I take a deep breath.

"He was dead. How did you do that?" Nyko asks the blond, confused.

"You tried bringing back reapers before?" Clarke asks. He nods at her. "And they died like this?" She asks him. The blonds face lights up.

"What's wrong?" I ask her, looking at her then Lincoln.

"I think I know how to stop the attack." She replies.

"He's stable for now. We should go." Clarke says. She and Finn leave. I was still sitting next to Lincoln.

Soon later, Abby rushes up. "Oh thank god. Where's Clarke?" I ask her, looking at her.

"Trying to stop a war." Finn says coming in. He sits next to me. I lay my head on Finn's shoulder as Abby checks on Lincoln.

"Pupils are unresponsive." Abby says. I sigh. "Tie his arms. Tight as you can." She tells Bellamy and Finn.

"Alright." Bellamy says.

"Thanks to the supplies Bellamy found, Lincoln might have a chance." Abby tells me, taking out a syringe and a vial of liquid.

"What is that?" I quickly ask her.

"This will bring down his fever." Abby tells us and says to hold him down. We all do. He begins to grunt and thrash around before going completely still. I look at him somewhat worried.

Clarke soon comes up with other grounders. Indra and some others. I look back at Lincoln. "What happened? Why isn't it working?" Clarke asks.

"His heart stopped." And so did mine at her words. I share a look with Octavia. Scared. Abby looks at Nyko. "You're their healer?" She asks and he nods at her. "Tilt his head back. Pull his chin down to open his air way." She instructs. I was holding Lincoln's hand, trying not to let more tears escape my eyes. She begins to pump on his chest. "Come on come on." She mutters over and over again. A few tries later she stops.

"No, why did you stop? Why?" I as her.

She gives me a sad look. "I'm sorry. He's gone." She says. Tears escape and I let out a loud sob.

"No." I say, leaning down, close to his face. "You can't leave me." I whisper. I lay my head on his chest. "Don't leave me."

"Beth." Octavia says trying to pull me up. I yank my arm from her grasp.

"I'll kill them all." Indra says. I ignore her. I was still looking at Lincoln when I here movement.

"Please you don't have to do this." Clarke says to someone.

"You lied. And you're out of time." A girl says. I didn't look up to see who it was but my guess is it's the commander.

I hear a shock wand turn on. I move and look, Abby has it. She looks at me then Lincoln. I nod. She takes it down to his chest.

"Do it again." Clarke says.

She does. I hear a small gasp from Lincoln. I quickly move back closer to him. "Lincoln?"

"Beth." He say. I let out a cry and lay my head on his chest.

"I thought you were gone." I say.

We go back to the ark. Clarke went back with Lexa, the commander, to talk.

We bring Lincoln to medical. I was sitting with him in the room. He wanted to be restainted, as much as I didn't want it to happen, he insisted.

"Never do that again." I say to him, tears still welling in my eyes. "I though I lost you, again." I say to him.

He gives me a smile. "I won't." He says.

I sit down next to him. "Good." I say.

"Is your dad back?" He asks me.

"Hell if I know." I say. He looks down at me. "The last thing I ever said to him was he was killing us all by sending us down here. Didn't think I was actually right." I say, looking at my hands. He grabs one of them with his.

"You need to talk to him." He tells me. I nod. "And I'm not gonna let anything happen to you." He says.

"I think right now, I need to watch over you." I say with a small smile. He smiles back. "But I'll go check. See if he's here." I say. He nods. I lean up and kiss him before walking out of the room. I take a deep breath.

I can't believe I'm back on the Ark.
