16; Lie Ability
"Anyone have eyes on the Closed Unit? I need a status report."
I looked up as Scott's finger moved from the radio, a man's voice replying with, "It's a war zone down here."
"Uh... 10-4," Scott replied hesitantly as he held down the button again. "And what about the patients? Lydia Martin?"
"Who is this?"
My eyes widened as Scott looked at me for help. "It's... Unit Nine."
"There is no Unit Nine," the voice replied. "Who is this? How did you get-" Scott cut him off by curling his hand around the radio and crushing it.
"All right. We need to figure out another way to get into this Closed Unit," my brother said once we'd all finished watching the radio break into pieces.
"How do we get through the mountain ash?" Liam asked.
"I don't know yet. But there's somebody else here that might be able to help us," Scott replied.
I frowned. "Who?"
"Meredith."
I shook my head. "That- that's not a good idea. She tried to kill like all of us. Do you not remember that?"
"It's worth a shot," Liam basically mumbled.
I whipped around, facing him. "I'm sorry, who asked for your opinion?"
"Bex-" Scott cautioned, a warning look in his brown eyes. "Come on, let's go and find Meredith." I huffed, letting the two of them go first. Liam glanced back at me but I looked away. We headed down the corridor until Scott paused, buzzing the door open. I slipped through it last, quickly closing it behind me. "Meredith?" Scott asked. "Meredith, it's Scott. Scott McCall." She was facing the wall, unresponsive until Scott reached out and turned her chair around. She didn't react, her eyes still staring at the same place on the ground. My brother reached for her hand. "Hey. Meredith, can you hear me? We need your help. We're trying to find Lydia. We're trying to get her out of here."
"Scott, I think- I think we better go," Liam whispered.
I stepped forwards, bending down in front of the woman, adopting a soft tone like my brother had. Being around her still set me on edge, but if this was the only way to get to Lydia, I'd have to push all personal feelings aside. "Meredith, listen. There has to be another way to get to Lydia. We can't get past the mountain ash. How do we find her?"
"Scott," Liam hissed. My brother glanced at me and shook his head. I closed my eyes with a sigh, not wanting to give up. As I watched my brother start to head over to Liam, I saw Meredith's hand reach out and tug him back. She slowly dragged his hand to the back of her neck.
"I could hurt you," my brother cautioned. Meredith's eyes were still lifeless and she didn't respond. "Okay," Scott's voice was barely above a whisper. I heard the sound of his claws slicing through the air. He glanced back at me and I nodded. He hesitated for a moment but then I saw his hand dig into Meredith's neck. She gasped.
Liam looked at me before glancing out of the door. As he stepped back in, I heard his heartbeat start to rise. "What's wrong?" I asked, trying to keep the worry out of my voice.
"They're coming."
My heart raced as I stood by the door, watching as two men came over to it. It buzzed open again and Liam immediately pushed the first man backwards, causing him and the guy behind him to go flying into a wall. I grabbed the door, ready to slam it shut before they could get back in but Liam growled, knocking the buzzer off. I let the door fall and flicked my wrists to extend my claws. I heard Liam roar before knocking the two men back to the floor. I stared at him for a moment, watching as he caught his breath, a triumphant smile on his face. Just when I thought we were in the clear, the door buzzed again and a taller, bulkier man stepped through, storming towards us.
"Oh, shit."
I stepped backwards, creating distance between us in order to prepare myself to fight. Liam moved in front of me slightly, pushing his claws into the man's skin before he could reach me. I lunged forwards, knocking the worker against the wall. He pushed me back against Liam, who grabbed my arm to steady me briefly before letting go and full on attacking the man. As Liam got pushed against the wall, I jumped forwards and swung at the worker, my fist connecting with his jaw. He stumbled slightly and I slammed his head against the wall, moving out of the way as he fell against the opposite door, opening it. Liam sent another kick to him and he paused, staying on his feet for a while before falling face first into the room. Scott looked up at the two of us, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Woah," Liam panted. "Is he out?"
Scott's gaze lingered on us for a moment before looking down. "Yeah."
Liam nodded, giving my brother a thumbs up. "Okay." I watched as he started to fall towards me and quickly moved out of the way. He hit the floor with a thud and I stared at him for a moment before looking up at my brother.
"You could have caught him," Scott said, shaking his head as he headed over.
"I wasn't gonna just let him fall into my arms," I hissed back. "Anyway, he deserved that."

"Parrish? Parrish. Parrish. Parrish, hey. Can you hear me?" My brother shook the confused deputy awake. After Liam had come round, we had headed down the corridors, following a harsh burning smell, until we found Parrish unconscious against a wall.
He started to sit up and I scrunched my nose up again at the horrid stench. "How did I get here?"
"We don't know. We just followed the burning smell," Liam replied with a shrug.
The deputy looked at his charred hands, coated in burns and black. "Parrish, listen," Scott started. "Eichen's in lockdown. There's no way for us to get out unless Plan B works."
"Plan B?" Parrish asked. "What's Plan B?"
Scott shared a look with me for a moment before turning back to Parrish. "Don't worry about it. Right now, we need you to find Lydia."
"Me?"
"Well," I tilted my head to the side "Not completely you. We need the other you."
"The Hellhound," Scott confirmed. And it wasn't long before we were following Hellhound form Parrish through the halls.
"How's he gonna get through the mountain ash?" Liam asked as we watched him approach the barrier. Parrish started to walk through the door, a fiery glow erupting around him. And he just continued walking through like it was nothing. The mountain ash didn't stop him at all. I raised my eyebrows, glancing at my brother who then put his hand out, watching it go through the door - no barrier to stop him.
"He's burning it right out of the walls."
We ended up following Parrish right into the tunnels. It was really dark, only illuminated by a couple of pathetic lights. I could hear Lydia yelling for Stiles to run in the distance and I picked up the pace, following the sound of her voice. As we rounded the corner, Stiles fell back into Scott and I. I heard Lydia suck in a deep breath and I quickly pushed the others further away, knowing what was coming. The beginning of an ear splitting scream came but was then muffled by something. An explosion suddenly ripped through the tunnels, shaking the ground and the walls. I hugged Scott and Stiles closer to me, squeezing my eyes shut. A persistent ringing bounced through my ears and I winced as I watched a figure descend through the smoke. Parrish walked through, carrying Lydia in his arms. "Where to?"
"This way," Scott said, taking off in the other direction. The rest of us followed, Liam catching up to my brother.
"There's a gate up ahead," he stated.
"What about Mason?" Scott asked.
"He's on it," Liam assured, starting to race ahead.
"Liam, slow down!" Scott called after him.
"Liam, wait!" Stiles yelled.
I watched as Liam rammed his hands against the gate. A spark of electricity bounced from it and he grunted, pushing it open. "I told you!" He exclaimed. I glanced at the other two and Stiles nodded as we headed to a ladder. Scott was last up, closing the hatch in the road just as the jeep came speeding over. Stiles moved my brother back onto the pavement, whilst Lydia moaned in pain.
"Can you stand?" Parrish asked her as Kira and Malia climbed out of the jeep.
"Is she okay?" Malia questioned, concern for her friend all over her face.
"No," Scott shook his head. "We need to go. Give me the keys, we gotta get her to the clinic." Malia dropped the keys into the palm of his hand just as Parrish let out a yell, falling against the jeep. I noticed deep scratches all along his back and turned around to see Tracy holding Lydia.
"Sorry, but she's coming with me."
I stepped forwards, prepared to fight her. She was stupid if she thought she was even going to get away with Lydia. There were so many of us but only one of her.
"Okay, Tracy just wait. You don't know what's about to happen," Scott cautioned.
"I'm taking her, that's what's happening. And none of you are gonna do a thing," she suddenly fell to the ground, letting go of Lydia and making her fall into Stiles' arms.
Natalie Martin appeared from behind where Tracy had been stood, holding a taser in her hand. "Can somebody please get my daughter out of this hell hole."

A/N
This was action packed and pretty fun to write. I feel like there's been a tiny amount of progress between Liam and Becca but they've still got a long way to go.
I have been thinking about doing a book 3 for season 6. I'm not 100% sure on it as teen wolf has kinda lost its spark for me and it was difficult for me to get back into writing all my teen wolf fanfics. However, I feel like Rebecca's character still has a long way to go and I absolutely adore writing her. I don't particularly want to cut short her's and Liam's story but I'm not sure how entirely into teen wolf I'll still be by the time season 6 comes along. What are your guys thoughts on it???
And speaking of season 6's...does anyone watch the walking dead because I am still not over the finale 😱
