I sighed when I switched on my light and saw Liam on my bed.

"It's late" I said, heading over to my mirror and untying my hair. I noticed that the cut under my eye, that I'd got from when one of the dread doctors had hit me, was still visible.

Liam rose from the bed and came over to me.

"Look at me" he said.

I turned around and he frowned, studying my face.

"What happened?"

"Had a run in with the dread doctors" I said.

"Why aren't you healing?"

I shrugged. "I guess it's just taking it's time"

I pushed past him but he grabbed my hand.

"Why are you mad?"

"Why are you here?" I shot back.

"Because you were mad earlier and now you seem even more pissed"

I laughed half-heartedly.

"That's because I am pissed off, Liam"

"Because of me?"

"Bingo" I snapped, turning back to my dressing table and taking out my earrings.

"So enlighten me, what have I done?" He crossed his arms over his chest. 

"Well for starters you lied to me"

"I never lied to you"

"No because telling me you were hanging out with Mason when you had actually gone to see Hayden totally isn't lying" I rolled my eyes.

"How did-"

"I called Mason on the way home to check up on you. I was worried about you because I hadn't heard from you all night. I was scared that something had happened. He told me you'd blown out your video games night to go and find Hayden at Sinema"

He opened his mouth to speak and then closed it again. "It was only to give the money to her"

"I don't care, Liam. The fact that you had to lie to me to do that, makes me incredibly suspicious"

"And why do you think I had to lie? Because you'd jump to conclusions anyway!"

"What makes you think that?"

"I saw the way you were acting towards her today. You were jealous" he said.

"And you wonder why?" I retorted.

"What so you don't trust me now, is that it?"

"I never said that!"

"Well you seem to be implying it. I guess I shouldn't exactly be trusting you either considering you've been hanging around with Brett"

"What? What the hell has Brett got to do with any of this?" I asked in confusion.

"I saw you sitting with him earlier"

I shook my head and turned away from Liam. "Oh my god" I said as I looked back at him. "Because I sat with him? Really, Liam? You know I was with Mason too. And I mean, at least my heart doesn't start pounding every time I'm near him"

"I don't like Hayden!" He defended.

"But did I ever mention, Hayden? Do you see why I'm suspicious? Do you see why I'm so jealous!"

"This is ridiculous"

"You're telling me" I snapped.

"Why are you so jealous of her? We hate each other"

"Because I'm losing them!" I yelled. "I'm losing my friends. I'm even losing my brother. And out of everyone, the person I don't ever, ever want to lose, is slipping away from me. I don't know whether it's me pushing you away or whether you've got feelings for Hayden. But I don't want to lose you to her"

"Why can't you trust me?" His angry tone had changed into one where he sounded hurt.

"I can't even trust myself right now"

"Becca-"

I shook my head. "I know I shouldn't use it as an excuse. It's just these visions they're freaking me out but  I'm so terrified of them spiralling out of control because I don't know how to stop them. The whole pack seem to be losing their minds. I actually had an encounter with the dread doctors today which was terrifying. And I just can't lose you too"

"Come here" he pulled me into a hug, wrapping his arms around me. "You're not going to lose me" he kissed the top of my head. "I promise"

I wanted to tell him not to make promises that he can't keep.

"I need to tell you something" he spoke up.

"What? What's wrong?" I asked, stepping away from him.

"Hayden's waiting outside. She's a Chimera"

I let out a long sigh. "Isn't that just great"

"Hayden? It's Scott. I know that you're scared but we just- we wanna help" He turned back to face us when there was no reply. "I can hear her heart beating. She's really freaked out. What happened?"

"She was okay when we got here.
I went to text you for two seconds and she locked herself in" I said.

"Why?" Stiles asked.

"How the hell are we supposed to know?" I replied, rolling my eyes.

"She's definitely a Chimera" Scott asked.

"She said she heard a voice saying, 'your condition improves'" Liam said.

"Allegedly" I cut in The boys all turned to look at me. "What? I'm just saying. Nobody in beacon hills is exactly trustworthy. How do we know she's telling the truth?"

"Okay, that's unsettling" Stiles said, pushing past and knocking on the door. "Hayden. This is Stiles. Your sister works for my dad down at the station. Look, just open the door, okay? You can trust us"

He stepped back from the door and I sighed, reaching over and hammering my fist on the door.

"Bitch, open the god damn door right now or I swear to god I will-"

Scott tugged me back and stepped in front of me.

"We just need to tell you the truth, Hayden. And that kind of thing usually is better face-to-face. Listen, either you're gonna unlock the door or I'm gonna have to break it open. It's okay if you don't want to talk or if you're not ready to believe us. But I just- I gotta know that you're okay in there"

The door unlocked slightly and then creaked open to reveal Hayden, her eyes glowing.

"I believe you"

"Is it me or is Liam not aware of the second part of the plan?" Lydia asked Scott and I in a hushed voice.

"Oh you mean the plan that's incredibly stupid and will probably kill us all?"

Scott glared at me. "I'm still not sure if there's going to be a second part"

"Or if it's going to work" I added, sitting down on the bench and watching Hayden and Liam.

"Don't worry, you learn to control it" Liam said.

"I'm not like you" Hayden reminded. "I wasn't bitten by a wolf. I was somebody's science experiment" she shook her head. "This is so bizarre"

"I know, but you're gonna be okay. I promise"

"What am I?"

"You're Hayden"

She turned around and smiled at him. "By the way, if you get me out of this, I'll forget all about the sixth grade"

Liam chuckled, mirroring her smile.

I looked up at the two of them, tears stinging my eyes. I quickly blinked them away and stood up.

Scott glanced up at me and I shook my head. "I'm fine. Just going for a walk about.

I headed round the corner so I could no longer see Hayden and Liam.

Someone touched my arm and I jumped. "Sorry" Lydia whispered.

"It's fine"

"You okay?"

"Yeah what's up?"

"I'll explain to you and Scott" she said, leading me back around the corner where my brother was stood.

"Scott?" she spoke up. "I was just thinking since we can't use our phones, we can't check in on Stiles and Theo"

My brother shook his head, eyes widening. "I didn't even think about that"

"Me either" I said.

"So we're standing here waiting for guys in masks and breathing tubes to show up. But who or what are Stiles and Theo waiting for?" Lydia asked.

"Oh god"

I paced back and forwards, trying not to think about the fact that my boyfriend was letting Hayden rest her head on his shoulder.

I heard the bag zipping open and Liam pulled out the chains.

"What were you going to do with these?"

"Brought them just in case" Scott replied.

"In case of what?" Liam asked.

"In case we had a chance to catch one of them" I said, not meeting my boyfriends eyes.

"If we can't make the school a fortress then maybe we can make it a trap" Scott explained.

"They're coming for her" Liam looked over at Hayden. "Does that mean she's the bait?"

Hayden looked up at us with a frown and I sighed.

Liam dropped the chains back in the bag.

"Liam, we brought her here to protect her" Lydia said.

"And now she's bait" he snapped.

"Am I?"

"No" Scott said calmly. "No one's bait. But we can't be bodyguards to everyone every night"

"Then why aren't we talking to Stiles' dad? Why aren't we doing something better than hiding in a school?" Liam said angrily. I could hear his heartbeat rising rapidly.

"Because we still don't know anything about them or what they want, okay?" I said.

"They're winning and we don't even know what the game is" Scott added.

"What if they come in here and those things don't work?" Liam asked. "What if you have an asthma attack again? What are we gonna do?"

"I don't know"

"This plan sucks!" Liam yelled.

"You got a better one?" Scott snapped. "Kids are dying! And she's next. So somebody has to do something. Somebody has to save everyone. So somebody's got to be the bait!" My brother shouted.

The two of them stared at each other before Liam stepped closer to my brother.

"Scott" he lowered his voice. "Promise me you'll do everything you can to save her. Scott. Promise"

"I'll do everything I can" Scott said. "I promise"

I scoffed.

"Guys" Hayden spoke up. "I think I might need a little help right now
I forgot my pills"

"Fabulous" I muttered.

"I have a bottle in my locker. I can get them, but I-"

"I'll get them" Scott said. "What's your combination?"

"Hurry" I whispered to my brother.

"We'll keep watch" Lydia said.

Once Scott was out of sight and hearing distance, she turned to me.

"What happened?"

"Nothing"

"Becca you can talk to me"

I looked up into Lydia's sincere eyes and before I could stop myself, I burst into tears.

"Hey" she said, pulling me into a hug. "Hey, it's okay"

I shook my head and pulled away.

"It's not okay. None of this is okay" I choked out.

"Is this about-" she lowered her voice. "Liam and Hayden?"

I wiped the tears away from my face. "You saw it too? So I'm not overreacting?"

"I don't know, Bex. I mean there's something but I just- I don't think Liam would do that to you"

"You don't hear the way his heartbreak picks up when she's near him" I said. "You can't feel the emotions radiating from both of them. I have to sit there and-" my voice cracked. "I have to watch that happen. I have to watch my boyfriend fall in love with another girl and accept it. No matter what he tells me, there's no denying it" I took a deep breath. "You know, I thought- I thought that maybe it was me just overreacting. I believed him when he told me he loved me"

"That's because he does" Lydia said.

I shook my head. "Not in the way he used to. We- we're. Things have changed. And I just- I can't do it anymore, Lydia. I'm struggling. I'm really struggling to cope with all of this. I can't watch everyone fall apart. Or my brother, I can't watch my brother fall apart. I mean did you see how he reacted earlier? He's losing it, we're all losing it! You nearly died, Lydia. I don't ever want to see you get hurt. I don't want to lose any of you at all. I can't lose Liam but I know I already have" my breathing got heavier as the tears practically flooded from my eyes. "And the worst thing is that there is absolutely nothing I can do about it and-"

I cut off, feeling a sharp pain in my head. I screamed, falling to my knees in pain.

I could hear Lydia calling out my name but the visions overtook.

The doctors.
Someone was shouting Hayden's name over and over.
Liam was on the floor but then there were flashes of Sparks and electricity again.
I saw the doctors once more and heard their heavy breathing before everything went dark.
The last thing I heard was Liam's voice.

"Rebecca!" Lydia's shrill voice pierced through me like a knife and I jolted. I stood up and stumbled, grabbing the wall for support.

"What the hell just happened!" She yelled, looking completely and utterly freaked out. Then her face changed.

"What? What's wrong?" I asked.

"Your eyes. They- they're glowing. But really bright. I've never seen them like that" she tilted her head to the side, studying me.

I squeezed my eyes shut and opened them again, hoping they'd turned back to their usual colour.

"Has that ever happened before?"

"Once or twice"

Before Lydia could speak again, a yell that sounded like my brother sounded from a classroom nearby. 

I went to run but hesitated.

If I saw visions of Liam and the doctors then that could mean that something bad could happen to him.

If I leave, I won't be able to protect him.

I heard another yell from my brother and turned to Lydia.

"Find Malia as quickly as you can. Come straight back here and guard this door" I instructed.

"What's going on?"

"Trust me, okay. Be quick and don't let anything go through that door"

"Becca what's happening"

"Lydia you have to trust me. Go now!"

She nodded and ran off to find Malia. I looked back at the door once more.

"Sorry Liam" I mumbled.

Please don't let anything happen to him.

Then I ran in the direction of Scott's screams, almost crashing into someone.

"Mason!" I yelled out in shock. "What the hell are you doing here. You know what, nevermind. Come on" I grabbed his hand and we headed into the classroom.

I ran in and saw Scott choking, leaning against the table.

"Scott!" I yelled. "Scott!"

Mason quickly grabbed something sharp and then, before I could even register what he was doing, he dug it into my brothers skin.

Scott screamed and Mason and I jumped back.

"Sorry sorry! I was trying to help. Uh, Liam said pain. He said it makes you human"

"What happened?" My brother frowned, looking between us and then just at Mason. "What are you doing here?"

"I found another Chimera. His name's Corey"

"Wait" Scott said. "Where's Liam and Hayden?"

"Shit" I cursed, running back to the locker rooms.

We headed through the door only to find Lydia and Malia stood there.

"They're gone" Lydia said. 

"Hayden and Liam are gone" Malia confirmed.

"No" I said in disbelief, looking around the locker room. "No, no! They can't be gone" I slammed my hand against a locker in frustration.

"Bex-" Scott started but I shook my head.

"They can't be gone"

A/N

Okay, a lot of you have been asking me what I'm going to do about Hayden.

Obviously, I'm not going to give away too much but as you might be able to tell, both Liam and Becca are going through changes. And that's what is going to affect their relationship. Of course, Hayden is going to be a factor of it but she's not going to be the sole reason.

I don't want to give away too much, I just wanna clear it up for you guys because I know it would be easy to just ignore Hayden and let Bex and Liam go on as normal, but nothing is ever easy on teen wolf so.

But things are definitely changing between Bec and Liam now - as you could probably tell this chapter 😂

This was a crazy episode and a fun chapter to write though so I hope you all enjoyed it.
