Jackson had taken a couple of minutes to try and digest the mental torture that Jin had served moments ago. She was a mess, the blood pouring off her body and mixing with the tears she was trying to conceal. The handcuffs treating her like a criminal. She looked like a fallen angel with her wings clipped and laying lifeless. The one thing he was grateful for was the humanity he could still see in her eyes. They hadn't killed that yet and he prayed that she would stay hanging on until he got to her. He let his tears dry, a silent prayer to a god he had no faith in to let her live. Too keep her safe until he could save her himself. He rubbed his face, his eyes carrying a sense of numbness. His main priority was his wife. His Irene. His Babygirl. Jackson looked towards his friends, "We need to get to her, please tell me we have something to work with." He needed something to cling to, his desperation exceeding expectations as he looked towards Youngjae hoping he had some answers to soothe his restless heart that lay burnt out. "I recorded the video. I'm running the location of it now. He's fried our connection that we hacked and instead fired a virus at our system. I've managed to reverse it but there are files missing...location files. The ones that are missing is what I suspect he'll be going for, I undid the transaction he filed for and the first file he took was our location." Youngjae paused. "We are going to be in the firefight first. As for the others I've notified them and they are going to follow through with the doomsday protocol. They said they'll be in contact." Jackson took a deep breath, before looking towards Mark, seemingly fed up. "I don't care about them Youngjae, I want my wife." He let out a sigh, "I'm running the location Jackson these things take time." "She might not have fucking time!" He shouted back, collapsing into a chair as he looked down at the floor. "And rushing things isn't going to help Jackson." Cut in Jinyoung. "She needs us, but weren't you the one to tell her to not rush in without a concrete plan. You need to listen to that. I know it's hard, I know you want her at by your side but things can go south if we don't plan accordingly. We could end up losing her if we are irrational and take steps in the wrong direction." He sighed placing a hand on Jackson shoulder. "We will get her back, but this time we need to it end it once and for all." Jackson looked up at him a sense of loss staring back at Jinyoung. "You a leader Jackson, snap out of it and do your job. Just like another hostage situation, we need to save her." He nodded, a location being shouted out by Youngjae, as the boys worked into the early hours of the morning.
The sun dipped over the horizon, the rays emitted peaking through the blinds of the room that the boys were in. Sounds of snoring heard as the six of them crashed out against their paper work and computer screens. Yet Jackson had stayed awake the entire night. Planning, calculating precisely a plan that would benefit them the most, a plan that would ensure the boys and her survival. He dropped the pencil down in front of him, turning towards the board as he laid out things accordingly. He heard Mark stir first, the sun rays obviously bothering him. He picked himself up, cracking his neck and back as he stood in front of Jackson who sipped on his ninth cup of coffee. "You should get some rest jack, you being tried could prove detrimental to us all." Mark said, whilst standing next to him. "I tried. Every time I closed my eyes I saw her. And I just couldn't." He said looking down into the remains of the cup of coffee. "We will save her Jack. Have some hope." "She is my hope. And she's been taken." He said his voice breaking as he put it back down, his form swiftly turning as they retreated back towards the centre of the room, all of them collectively working on what Jackson had complied over the hours they had fallen asleep.
Gunshots rang out.
The boys paused their conversation, looking at each other with wide eyes. They had not anticipated an attack that quickly. With a final look, they grabbed the weapons that lay adorning the walls before bolting out the door ; these ninja like creatures dressed in red standing in front of the gates. A bomb went of moments later with the red clad men shooting in, their advances against the army complex fatal. They chucked grande after grande, things exploding. Jackson swerved a bullet, sliding against the floor as he looked up, taking cover. With one hand gesture he made sure to signal to each soldier to take cover, his eyes signalling with hand movements their course of action. The dust that had been kicked up was what proved as a hinderance. They needed to time this. He signalled to them to not make a sound or movement but to wait for his signal, he turned slightly, placing the ammunition into his gun, the dust finally settling. He watched for a second as the trespassers looked on in confusion, underestimating their skills and assuming they had all been killed. With a sharp nod, he started firing, gun shots from their side ringing out, as Jackson continued to press the trigger at everyone. He clenched his fist up, signalling his comrades to halt, before moving to assess what was happening, a bullet was fired to the floor next to him, and within a sharp second, like a knife gliding in the air, Jackson had succeeded in killing the opposition. He looked towards another, his aim a perfect 10 as he shot the gun straight out of his hand before kicking him up into the gut, and bringing the barrel of his gun to the opponents throat shooting. He looked back calling his men out, the boys rallying besides him out in the open as they opened fire on the last that remained in front of them. Seconds morphed into minutes and finally the bloody battle had been drawn to a close. Jackson dropped his gun, unmasking one of them. A normal man. He sighed dropping the mask over his face. His hands were shaking in anger, he let out a breath of frustration, his body prepping to move out of his crouched position. Yet his movements were halted with a click sound, a barrel shoved against his head. He paused, his eyes flashing up. "JACK!" He heard one of the boys shout. And yet there he was standing face to face with Chief Park. The man who was a mentor, a father figure, a man who had always thought of Jackson's best interest was now holding a gun to his head whilst wearing a sadistic smile that made his insides churn. He looked towards the older man with disgust. Irene had been right, yet he kicked himself mentally for not picking up on this faster. Jackson unclenched his fists, his hands moving up in surrender as he moved out of his crouched position, standing up to face the other betrayer among them. "How could you?" He questioned, his tone dead, and his voice gripping onto his anger. "There's a reason why irene never told me all those years ago that Suho had gone missing. She suspected me from that point yet she deluded herself to believe I would never do that. She was right. She should have listened to her gut." "That doesn't answer my question. You taught me that duty to your country should always come first, that nothing is more rewarding than fighting for the right side, yet here you are standing in front of me and supporting the side of immoral." "Well it's fun to change things up." He said with a simple shrug. "And Irene was becoming a problem that needed to be removed." "Don't take her name."Jackson raged. The chief laughed. "Aww how cute, the husband being protective over his wife." Jackson didn't say anything, his heart was hurting with the betrayal. "I helped. The first time she was kidnapped, that was a plan devised between us, we didn't realise how quick she was gaining on us, and you too, and so we had to change our plans slightly, yet once again she had ruin them. This girl doesn't know when to stop." He laughed. "But this time she won't be coming back from where Suho sends her." Jackson's eyes flashed, his anger erupted forth, his body surging for battle, as he took the chief's wrist in his own, clicking it back before dropping the gun from his hand, Jackson side swept his feet causing him to tumble down to the floor, before landing punch after punch to his face. He felt arms wrap around him trying to pull him back, yet the desperate pleas from his brothers fell deaf to his ears, he fought against them continuing where he left off. He lost Irene because of this man, and he was undeserving of his life. Jackson continued to punish him, his knuckles now bleeding along side until finally JB, Mark and Jinyoung managed to get their captain to stop. "She's gonna get fucked so good, they are going to take your wife over and over again, they are going to break her until she's nothing and they will force her to take the gun and end her life once and for all-" Jackson picked up the gun, ignoring the protests from besides him, his finger squeezing against the trigger as blood splattered against the floor, the words of the chief dying on his lips as Jackson pressed the trigger for the second time. He dropped it to the floor, his eyes watering as he turned around, his feet carrying him away from the scene as he returned back to their hideout, his head falling into his hands. The betrayal was burning his hearts, loyalty that he had never questioned was becoming a source of his resentment and now he had lost so much, yet he was oblivious to how much more he was about to lose. He needed her. He needed her to kiss the pain away, yet the ugly reality was she wasn't here, and he wasn't sure how much longer she would hold on for.
