Chapter 31

After our shower and enough food for a banquet had been brought to our suite, I sat in my usual chair as one of Amelia's ladies brushed out my long, silver hair. She took a blow dryer and turned it on low, slowly drying my once mud and blood caked locks.

"Madame, your hair is absolutely beautiful."

"Thank you," I mumbled as I chewed a bit of the delicious meat that the cooks sent up to us.

"We are all so very grateful for you, and you, your grace," she said looking at Edmond.

"Oh, it's not a problem."

'That was a huge problem,' Edmond thought to me.

'Shush. It's part of our job.'

He rolled his eyes and grabbed a sausage roll that dad brought from home. "Your dad makes great food."

"He does. I miss it."

"Do you want to go visit Moon Mist?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah. There are other things that I need to take care of there anyway. Plus I'm sure the pups would love a road trip."

"That settles it! We're off to Moon Mist tomorrow."

"If you are going to Moon Mist, majesty, I must do your nails! Please?" She looked at me with such a hopeful look.

"You want to do my nails?" I asked.

She nodded her head. "I've been practicing different designs and nobody will let me do their nails. Mannequin hands are getting boring."

I smiled at her. "Absolutely. I'd love your most creative design."

She squealed and ran from the room. Edmond laughed while stuffing another sausage roll in his mouth. Standing he made his way to the closet.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Getting out the suitcases," he answered with his mouth full. "Need to pack."

"Right. Give me both of mine and my small duffle."

"So many?" He arched his brow at me.

"I need to pack the ingredients for that potion."

"Oh, right."

"Is Alex still in our prison?" I questioned.

Edmond shook his head. "No, they sent him back to Moon Mist to have the Alpha title stripped and give out his punishment."

"Good, Harmony will need to see him when she drinks the potion."

"Are you sure she'll want to break her mate bond?"

"Edmond, there is no way she's going to want to stay with Alex. He's such an awful wolf."

"Yeah, he is a bit on the nutty side. His dad seems so normal."

"Alpha Anwar is. I really like him. He was so kind when Alex mated Harmony at our birthday party."

"What happened to Alex?"

I shrugged my shoulders.

A soft knock came as Amelia's lady entered the room with a small cart.

"Wow, that's a lot of stuff," I said.

She smiled brightly, pushing the cart closer to where I sat. It was adorned with an assortment of nail polishes, manicure tools, and small containers filled with glitter and tiny decorative gems. It was clear that she had put a lot of thought and effort into preparing for this moment.

"Indeed, Your Majesty," she replied with a hint of excitement. "I have gathered everything we need to create a truly unique and exquisite design for your nails."

I glanced at the array of colors and accessories, my curiosity piqued. "Well, I can't wait to see what you have in mind."

With meticulous care, she began the process by removing the remnants of the previous nail polish from my fingernails and toenails. Using a gentle nail polish remover, she wiped away any traces of color, leaving a clean canvas to work with. She then proceeded to trim and shape my nails to perfection, making sure each one was uniform in length and neatly filed.

As she worked, I couldn't help but admire her skill and attention to detail. Her movements were precise and graceful, her hands steady as she transformed my nails into tiny works of art. It was clear that she had a true passion for her craft.

Once the preparation was complete, she reached for a soft, pastel pink nail polish and began applying it to my fingernails. The color glided smoothly over each nail, leaving behind a glossy finish. With a delicate touch, she then added a subtle touch of shimmer to the tips, creating a gradient effect that caught the light beautifully.

For my toenails, she opted for a bolder choice. She selected a deep, rich burgundy color that added a touch of sophistication. Using a thin brush, she expertly painted intricate floral patterns on each toenail, carefully blending different shades of red and adding tiny silver accents to bring the design to life.

But she wasn't done yet. With a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, she reached for a small container filled with silver glitter. Using a fine brush, she delicately applied the glitter in a swirling pattern on a few select fingernails, creating a dazzling, starry effect. The combination of the soft pink base, the gradient tips, and the glimmering silver accents created a whimsical and enchanting look.

As a finishing touch, she applied a glossy top coat to protect the design and enhance its longevity. She then gently blew on my nails, ensuring they dried quickly and evenly. The result was a stunning manicure and pedicure that surpassed any expectations I had.

I couldn't help but smile in awe as I admired my nails, feeling a surge of gratitude towards the talented lady who had poured her heart into creating this masterpiece. The design was a perfect blend of elegance and playfulness, a reflection of my own personality and the journey I had undertaken.

"Thank you," I said, genuinely impressed. "You have truly outdone yourself. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful design."

She beamed with pride, her eyes shining with satisfaction. "It was an honor, Your Majesty. I'm so glad you like it."

"What's your name?" I asked.

"What?"

"Your name. I want to be sure you always do my nails now."

"Oh, um, it's Eliza. I'm Eliza."

I smiled at her. "Thank you, Eliza."

She curtsied quickly and dashed from the room with her cart.

"Have fun?" Edmond asked, emerging from our room.

"I did, actually. It was nice to just relax."

"I packed up all of those ingredients into your little bag."

"You didn't have to do that!"

"Yeah, well, I like doing things for my princess." He winked at me, while wheeling his massive blue suitcase to the door.

"I'll pack up the kids stuff." I stood and took their little suitcases adorned with the stickers they insisted on putting on them.

"I'll be in bed!" Edmond called as I tip toed into the pups rooms.

They lightly snored as I went through their dressers and closets for various outfits for our trip to Moon Mist.

Leaving their room, I went to the safe. Digging around I pulled out Freddy's crown that matched Edmonds and Orsand's and Vicky's little silver and pearl tiara.

"Do you think they'll need those?" Edmond asked.

"I dunno," I mumbled, pulling out my crown and a golden tiara that was covered in tiaras and diamonds. "But it's best to be prepared."

"Well....pack my crown!"

"Already done," I said, holding up his crown.

"Good. Now come to bed."

He stalked across the room as I put the crowns into their travel cases and placed them on the table for tomorrow. He picked me up, kissing me deeply before carrying me to our bed.
