Battle Of Liberty

I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock. I got out of bed and felt my head spin slightly, I hate that feeling when that happens.

I shook my head before getting dressed super quickly realising I was going to be late. I was dressed in a dark green blazer, black under shirt, black jeans and converses. My hair was pinned on both sides with my hair in a little poof to the sides, but not too much.

I went down the stairs with my phone in my pocket and entered the kitchen seeing Lilly already seated with her eyes falling asleep. Derek wasn't up yet.

I took a seat on the island stool as I saw my dad come down the steps. He was dressed in his work clothes and looked quite tired.

"Morning, dad." Lilly and I spoke in synch.

"Morning, babies." He responded as he grabbed a cup of coffee. I stood up and went to make my breakfast, which was pancakes and syrup.

"No cereal today?" My dad asked.

"Nope." I shook my head.

"Okay." He nodded his head as I saw Lilly look up feeling much more awake now.

I sauntered towards the kitchen opening it up to see the orange juice carton and took it out, placing it on the island and closing the refrigerator door.

Grabbing myself a glass I poured the orange contents in, seeing the vibrant orange colour fall into the transparent glass. Closing the screw I placed the orange carton back into the fridge and taking a seat, not forgetting to take my orange juice with me.

Grabbing a fork, I took a seat on the island counter stool and started cutting the pancake with a knife and chewing it; as the syrup melted onto my tongue. I saw my mom and Derek come downstairs looking very tired as my dad and Lilly looked before.

"Morning, mom, morning Derek." Lilly and I spoke again simultaneously.

"Morning, honeys."

"Morning."

After finishing my breakfast and gulping my juice slowly, I saw Derek and my mom were now eating their breakfast. Tea and eggs and toast for my mom. Pancakes and syrup with juice for Derek.

I washed the dishes before drying my hands.

"See you later." I called as I was making my way to the door.

"Have fun- See you." My family called.

I made my way outside to the door and felt my head feel a little light headed. I shook it off before making my way to work. I headed up the steps after greeting everyone.

Sitting on the chair, I found myself wanting to go to sleep, nearly drifting off I heard a hark, ending up of me turning my head and standing up. Hall.

"Ella, you need to come for the meeting. Starts in ten minutes." He walked off feeling a little anxious of my office. I guess it was because he was trapped here for eight months not exactly knowing what to do.

I made my way outside of the office and towards the meeting room. My hand rested on the door knob already hearing a few chatters appearing, I opened the door and saw familiar members of the force, I made my way to my seat as I saw Gary had entered.

He sat down next to me as the others had piled into the huge conference room. Captain Rifer had begun talking.

"Okay, so as many as you know the other day where a certain female in her mid twenties burnt a police car with her bare finger, just today earlier reportedly." Captain called as he turned his body side wards to the projector where he clicked a button. "-at around six a.m two police officers, Officer Randy and Officer Cadet were both driving through town and this occurred."

Captain Rifer clicked a button which played football of both officers getting attacked. My eyebrows scrunched in curiosity, but I already knew who it was, Lola Oraney.

Captain paused the video as he looked disappointed, everyone held worried yet curious eyes.

"They are both currently in the hospital, a few of our men were on patrol and immediately took them to the hospital."

"We need to find that girl." Georgia, a police officer spoke.

"But we need to think strategically, first." Jolly spoke.

"She seems to enjoy the company of the police so, why not start there." Detective Joseph began.

"What, by putting more police officers in danger." Gary shot back calmly but with a little surprised.

"You must be kidding, if you think that." Hall answered.

"We cannot risk more people getting hurt, we need to think of something." My dad anticipated.

"And what's that exactly?" Cadence asked.

"A plan." Lance ended.

I exited the building ten minutes ago and was going to grab some food, when I received a message. I glanced at my phone to see it was from Freddy.

'Lab in 10, urgent.'

I used my sonic speed and raced all the way to the lab to see everyone either on the computer, or chattering amongst each other.

"Ah, Winchester, you're here." Dr Flynn spoke making his way to me.

"We just need to run tests on you." When I heard that my first thought was 'not again', but my second thought was, 'great' because I felt a lot more different from the last time I fainted.

"Right, so you know the drill, you just gotta run on the treadmill and we'll see how your vitals are and see what exactly your situation is which will be revealed — before jumping to conclusions, doorbell we have thick padding if anything happens." Freddy shot fingers at Isabella as she narrowed her eyes at him as Chuck held back the amused expression.

"Okay, we're monitoring you in that room." Chuck spoke with a less playful expression as I nodded my head.

I was in the star labs t-shirt, my hair was pulled up into a pony tail, I tightened my laces before standing onto the treadmill once again.

Breathing out, I clicked on the power button and started walking before jogging and finally running at the speed. I could feel everything move slowly, but then again it was like a blur, I could hear a few voices in the background,

"-Emma we think we know why you-" but I don't know how I lost my balance and ended up slipping and slamming my body against the padding and through a couple of boxes and against the wall. "-keep passing out."

"Okay, maybe not the best the padding."

I saw everyone rush into the room, the pain shooting up my back.

"Emma, are you okay?" I heard Freddy ask as Chuck and Dr Fields were staring at me.

My hand was currently wrapped with a small cast, until my hand heals since it kind of fractured whilst crashing into the wall. However the good news is that they all found what why I keep having these weird dizzy spells and faint once in a while.

"It's your sugar levels. Glucose, since your metabolism works differently you need to at least consume at least twelve thousand calories a day." My eyes slightly widened.

"I know it's a lot, but because of your vitals you lose the weight whilst running. Plus it's important for someone like you Emma." Dr Fields finished off.

I had to eat a lot that day but somehow I didn't feel full that much, instead I kind of felt that I had full energy, which WA particularly weird, even during soccer games I had to maintain a balanced diet, especially when I had to run.

I was at the lab for a couple more hours before I went home, I walked it instead because I honestly wasn't in the mood to run for an odd reason.

On the way, I saw something that caught my eye. I went inside a shop and I glanced at the interior and the items inside of the place.

"Are you interested in buying this, ma'am?" The woman at the desk asked me.

"Actually, yes."

Once I reached home, I ate and watched some TV in my room, particularly a horror movie. After the movie, my hand accidentally switched channels to the news showing some footage of a robber and something else.

"-just seeing another flare of Aqua, intrigues the curious people of Elm City, what does this mean for the city? Is it something good or something dangerous." My eye narrowed slightly. "However what makes Elm Coty citizens more curious is whether it's a man, woman or inhuman. I'm Wendy Willingworth, E7 News, Elm City." I switched the TV off already not bothered, I lied down in my bed and closed my eyes feeling too tired already falling asleep.
