Backstory: Before there was Twilight Sparkle, there was Sunset Shimmer, a prodigal student of Celestia and pasted the entrance exam like it was nothing and past like how Twilight did in the past. However she was pretty full of herself back then. Celestia wanted Sunset to learn about friendship but fail. When both her and Celestia went into a room that has a magic mirror in it, Sunset sees herself as a alicorn in it. And she couldn't get her mind off of it since, and soon broke into the library against Celestia's orders. When Celestia tried to get Sunset out of the castle, Sunset then go into the Crystal Mirror and entered the human world. She then went to a school called Canterlot High and she ruled it with a new iron fist for 3 years. When she heard that Twilight Sparkle became an Alicorn princess she stole the Element of Magic and took it for herself so that she can earn it in the Fall Formal which is their way of saying prom and bring magic to the human world. She soon become a demon that would conquer both the human world and Equestria but thanks to Twilight and her friends she was defeated and she was given a chance for redemption and she soon became the poster child of the Equestria Girls franchise since then.

Backstory: Many years ago, a young filly named Starlight Glimmer and a cold named Sunburst were great friends growing up. Until one day, Sunburst has gotten his cutie mark and things have changed for the both of them. Over the years she has grown a hatred for cutie marks, to the point where she made a town where ponies were stripped of their cutie marks and replace them with equal signs. This is the norm for all of these ponies until one day Twilight Sparkle and her friends went to her town and she managed to take their cutie marks and try to use them to convince the world that an Alicorn princess and her friends join her cause. Which could've worked if she wasn't got hit with a water bucket and reveal her cutie mark to the whole town and ruined her entire plan. She then escaped vowing for vengeance and spying on Twilight and her friends and figure out what she can do to ensure her plans come to fruition and she found out by discovering the Sonic Rainboom that brought the Mane 6 together she tried to go back in time and prevent it from happening which caused numerous horrible future timelines. Twilight then convinced Starlight to stop and give friendship another try and that was start of Starlight's journey as Twilight's student.

Here we see an alternate timeline where we see Sunset getting ready to hang out with her friends after school until she has a feeling that she's not alone as we see a unicorn named Starlight come out of the bushes and she sees Sunset.

Starlight: "Sunset Shimmer, what is the former protege of Celestia doing here?"

Sunset: "I have a change of heart and I decided to stay here with my friends."

Starlight: "I've been watching you and your friends remind me of the same ponies who made my work go down the toilet, years in a town of nothing but equality wasted. And they need to pay, and any friend of Twilight is an enemy of mine."

Starlight then fires a beam of magic at Sunset and then we see her Pony Up as a response to the attack. She then fires a laser at Starlight as we see the two of them have a beam struggle and then the beams explode and knock them back. In the blast we see Starlight looking around and we see Sunset jump her and then she begins to read Starlight's thoughts as we see Starlight knock Sunset off of her. Sunset then use the same spells that Starlight uses as we see Starlight use her magic to make copies of herself and then attack Sunset from all sides as we see Sunset grab the Element of Magic and become Demon Shimmer and knock back the copies.

Demon: "You are done pony!"

Demon Shimmer then fired lasers at Starlight as we see her use her Accelero spell to boost her speed to dodge the lasers as she then fired a beam powerful enough to destroyed the element of magic as Sunset changed back to her human form and we see Sunset change into her Geode form and we see both Sunset and Starlight fight each other blow for blow as we see the fight go to Equestria. We see Sunset as a unicorn now and she is fighting Starlight using her magic as we see the both of them tackle each other and teleporting to different parts of Equestria and then we see them get through the portal and we see Sunset creates wings for herself and then starts flying around as we see Starlight come out of the portal and still a unicorn and then Sunset pulls out the Magic absorption device and then we see Starlight knock her out of the sky and then she crash onto the ground and then we see a blast of energy as we see Daydream Shimmer came out of the light and she starts attacking Starlight and we see Starlight taking cover.

Starlight: "You think giving yourself an outfit change can beat me?!"

We then see Daydream fire a powerful beam of energy at Starlight as we see Starlight fire a powerful beam of magic at Daydream and we see a beam clash against each other and we see Starlight overpowers Daydream and force her out of the form and she fell down to the grown as we see her struggle to get up and then we see Starlight head first and used her own horn to stab Sunset in the chest and through the heart and then pulled out and let Sunset bleed to death.

Starlight: "Good riddance, 1 down, 6 more to go."

We then see Starlight teleport out of the area as the rain begins to fall down on Sunset's lifeless corpse.
