A few weeks passed and Chiku was always uneasy with being around Amri. She needed to get out but only huntresses were permitted to leave the Pride for that was Amri's new law and rule unless you had a good excuse or reason to. Even Chiku herself, despite being the Queen was permitted to stay at Pride Rock until one day she couldn't take it and insisted to go hunting. However the young lionesses didn't intend to hunt or even try for she knew that she desired time to herself. She moved through the dry grass before going in the opposite direction of where her hunting party went. Once Chiku was away from it all she lay in the tall grass to think.

It had only been a few weeks since Bahati's birth and she spared no hesitation in leaving the cave and the King's side once the little prince was weaned and could move on to fresh meat. Since then Chiku had met with her aunt Vitani on a regular basis to discuss their plan further, they had a plan of action ready and would soon put it into action. Whenever Amri would ask her why Chiku was going to see Vitani she would simply tell him that she wanted to discuss great matters of importance with her about the Lion Guard and Amri being the stupid and stubborn male that he was accepted that excuse and allowed it to the disbelief of his Queen Chiku was surprised to hear of his go ahead.

However Chiku was not able to get a minute away from the Pride, that was until today. As Chiku relaxed the young Queen tilted her head up as her nose raised high in the air, something was off. She took a sniff, realising that she smelled something. Sure enough she got her answer sooner rather than later. The lionesses eyes widened in shocked as she looked ahead of her, a massive fire was coming her way! Chiku quickly got to her paws before sprinting off, the flames not far behind. As she continued on desperate to make it back to Pride Rock the flames were catching up.

Chiku coughed heavily as she began to slow down as the high flames and thick smoke sourrounded her. The lioness desperately looked for a way out with pleading eyes but all she could see was thick black smoke and huge flames all around her. The Queen ran for her life through the fire, her vision beginning to blur as she ran. She desperately tried again to find an escape route but all seemed lost as almost every exit was cut off and blocked by flames. The light cream lioness stopped again, looking for a way out but it was hopeless at this point. Suddenly without any chance or hope of getting out Chiku began coughing once again until finally she collapsed against the dry grass, the fire getting closer, coming dangerously close to burning her alive.

Before passing out Chiku could just about make out a large figure that hovered over her, was this the end? Did Amri come for her and decide to kill her?, of course she knew that this fire wasn't one of his plots oh no he had seemed rather calm and quiet lately which only made the Queen suspicious as she knew what he was capable of but he hadn't done anything since killing her parents. Chiku knew that this was no more than a simply dry grass fire caused by the dry season, whenever the dry season came the grass would get very dry and would randomly catch on fire. That of which was nobodies fault it was just natures way and nobody could control when or where the fire would start so it was normal that it happened as it was apart of the Circle of Life.

After passing out the dark figure which was a dark male lion looked at her curiously before picking her up and placing her on his back and then running out of the flames. After a while he had found a spot away from the flames and was by a small nearby waterhole. He dropped the lioness down gently next to the small river before nudging her and then splashing some water on her face. Chiku coughed before being able to take breaths again as she woke up, her red and green eyes open with confusion. "Ugghhh my head!" The Queen groaned as she rubbed her scarless right cheek "what happened?" She looked around before slowly managing to lay upwards trying to come to bring herself round once again and come back to her senses. Once she was fully awake Chiku looked around before noticing a dark male lion lightly drinking from the waterhole.

The males tongue lightly lapped at the water before he stopped to raise his head up noticing that the lioness he had rescued was awake, he looked over at Chiku observing her as if she were a prey who was being targeted. He smiled fondly at her before slowly making his way over to speak to her. "Ahh thank goodness you've awoken" the male said, still a fond smile on his face "I was beginning to think that you were a goner" he chuckled at that before noticing the lionesses expression. Chiku was not amused as she glared at him "a goner? Now just wait a minute! How did I end up here in the first place anyway!?" She questioned. The young male rolled his eyes at her rudeness "is that how you say thank you?" He raised his eyebrows with annoyance "I just saved your life goldie." Chiku growled "goodie!?" She blurted out angrily as she got up and walked over to the male "I'll have you know that I come from a long line of very powerful lions!" She said proudly turning her head away from him. The dark lion looked at her for a second without bursting into a fit of laughter "haha powerful lions?" He asked in laughter "what are you gonna do Rain lightning down upon me?"

Chiku growled before pouncing in front of him, a look of anger on her face "listen here rouge!" she snapped "I am a Queen and I come from a line of very royal lions" she then unsheathed her claws and held a paw up to the males face "along with royal blood comes the shedding of yours!" Chiku threatened. The lion pouted before tutting "Pfft please let me practice my curtsy" the male said in a sarcastic tone "hate to break it to you princess scar face but I just gave you a chance to live to see another day, you could at least be greatful for that" he rolled his eyes annoyed before turning away from the Queen.

Chiku grew angry after hearing that "first of all my these scars are personal idiot!" Chiku snapped but then stopped took a deep breath before sighing "second... you're right I'm sorry, thank you for saving my life..." Chiku finished lowering her head. The males frown turned to a smile. "Thank you..." he said before smiling a kind smile to the lioness "oh and you're welcome my name is Ayubu" he said introducing himself in a more kinder and nicer tone.

Chiku smiled back at him before answering "I'm Chiku" she said in a calmer and nicer tone this time. Ayubu grinned a little before stepping forward. "Hmm Chiku huh? That's a beautiful name" his charming smile made the young lioness blush before she looked away "oh um thank you" she said smiling still. The dark male smiled "it was my pleasure" he chuckled before turning to leave. Chiku watched him leave before turning herself around to return to Pride Rock "hey" Ayubu stopped after hearing her voice and looked back at her. "Maybe I'll see you again some time" the Queen said in a more cheerful tone now then before. The male smirked as he raised his eyebrows again at her request "is that a hint?" He asked before Chiku blushed a little. "Maybe it is" she giggled a little before leaving to go back to the pride again. Ayubu chuckled before doing the same, going in the opposite direction to her.
