Once far away from Pride Rock Amri's follower lionesses gently placed him down to the ground near a small cave. The former king coughed up a bit of blood as he struggled to keep his eyes open. Bianca, still his most loyal follower and best friend looked at the young dark princess before offering a sad smile to her. "Thank you Princess" she said in gratitude, Asha smiled back at her kindly "you're welcome and also you don't have to address me in such a way just Asha is fine Amri might have been an evil tyrant but he's still a lion and despite what he's done to me and my sister and to our parents I have learnt to forgive. Besides you were only doing it for survival and I can understand that. Bianca nodded with a smile feeling thankful before approaching the king.

Asha looked down at Amri in sadness before hearing struggle and try to keep his eyes open as he bled out through his mane and stomach. Three fresh scars that now fell across his nose bridge and cheek also bled as he lay there. The orange lion looked up at the greyish black lioness known as Bianca weakly. "Bianca" he spoke "forgive me..." Bianca looked down at her best friend in somewhat surprise and sadness "it.. it's alright Amri" she reassured but hesitating. Amri shook his head "no, no it's not" he replied looking directly at her "you are right I was out of line and I'm sorry for mistreating you so badly."

Bianca looked at the male with some tears in her eyes "none of that matters anymore now Amri, you're my friend" she said smiling at her best friend sadly. Amri coughed before struggling as he continued to speak. "Our family, will look to you now" he said to Bianca as his vision became blurred. Bianca looked down at the male as tears fell from her eyes "no.,. No Amri" Amri leaned up to nuzzle her gently "take care of them Bianca, take care of them..." he said quietly before moving his head back down to the ground. Asha who was stood by dipped her head down to his level gently nuzzling him in sadness "Amri..." she spoke. The orange male looked at the dark lioness with disbelief and affection "y-you, you came back" he spoke quietly. Asha looked down at him in sadness staying close "of course I came back! I couldn't let them oh Amri this is all my fault if only I'd gotten here sooner! I shouldn't have left you back there" Asha said in a desperate tone.

Amri looked up at her in sadness "no.. no this isn't your fault Asha and I'm afraid it's my turn to leave this time." The young princess looked down at him saddened "you'll be alright, we're together now and everything's going to be fine you'll see" she spoke trying to sound comforting. The orange rogue coughed up some more blood before looking up at Asha with love and affection in his eyes "At least I got to see you... one last time" the male smiled before leaning forward to nuzzle Asha affectionately. The dark princess returned his affection purring quietly as tears rolled down from her eyes. "I'm so sorry Asha" Amri apoligized. Asha took a deep breath looking at the male still crying a little "okay, just don't say anything you need your strength, it's gonna be okay, it's gonna be okay" she spoke out of desperation trying to make herself believe that the lion she loved would make it. "Asha, it's okay" Amri said trying to reassure her as he nuzzled her close.

Asha cried quietly trying to hold back her tears. "But it's not fair please try to stand Amri if not then you'll die." The rogue lion coughed up more blood before speaking "then I will have finally paid for my mistakes and actions... I have nothing more to give Ash and it's time for you to be on your own." More tears fell from the young princesses eyes as she looked down at the orange male "but I want you with me... I love you Amri" the young lioness said sniffing. Amri looked up at Asha with loving eyes, a sad smile on his muzzle "you've learned everything you need Asha, now all you have to learn is how to say goodbye..." Asha nuzzled the former king with love and affection. "I won't let you give up" the princess said in sadness. Amri took one last look at Asha before saying some final words "Ash, I love you" he spoke before slowly closing his eyes and slipping away.

Bianca looked on at the display with tears in her own eyes as the whole pride of Amri's and all his followers looked on in sorrow bowing their heads in sadness. Asha took one look at the former kings dead body as he'd just died right in front of her. Tears rolled down the young princesses cheeks before she collapsed against the orange male in agony screaming over her tears as she sobbed, clinging to the former king, her head resting against his as she wept and mourned the death of her lion love heartbroken at such a loss.
