Recap: In the previous chapter, the remaining contestants get to compete in the 19th challenge, which is racing to the mountains and getting a flag. Marcel won with victory and Saylor got the flag in second place. Capri gets the last flag, and Camila is automatically eliminated. Capri, Marcel, and Saylor are now in the Top 3. Starting for now, they're trying to get victories in the competition.

Marcel's POV

Today is the last time that three of us will compete, since one of us will be out of the game soon.

I can't believe that I made it far with the help of my friends to do anything for me to win... If it wasn't for them, I could've got off the game before Top 3.

Well, what matters is that, at least I get to experience this. For others, there was a low chance, since there would be disadvantages for them. Like their personalities, performances on the challenges, and based on being a favorite.

While waiting for the next challenge, I heard fighting had happened. This is concerning... Should I go there and stop the fight or stay and wait for the next challenge?

I should stop the fight since Penny might take too long to prepare for the challenge.

I went to the place where I heard the sound of fighting, and I was shocked to see Saylor and Pierce fighting.

Wait, why are they fighting? I hid behind the wall to hear their conversation without being seen.

Pierce: You little shit!! Why did you lie to me!?

Saylor: Lie about what?

Pierce: You lied to me that you're a straight dumbfuck!!!

Saylor: Oh that... Yes, I'm gay, so what?

Pierce: I swear to God that when we meet again, I'll disrespect you until my last fucking breath!

I decided to intervene.

Marcel: Cut the shit out, homophobic pasta!!

Penny: Oh, go to the bleachers since Capri is waiting for you two. I have already prepared the challenge for you guys.

Marcel: Alright, thank you. Saylor, let's go and forget that pasta.

We went to the bleachers where Capri was waiting along with Penny, who was prepared for the challenge that she had planned.

End of Marcel's POV

Penny: Alright, so the challenge is related to this machine called a lie detector.

Saylor: What does it have to do with a lie detector?

Penny: I'm glad you asked! For this challenge, I'll give you a question in every round. So that means you have one chance to answer the question with truth or lie. If the lie detector buzzes, that means you get a point. The one who gets the least points will automatically get the spot for one versus one.

Penny: The other two will be facing each other by answering my riddles which are related to one of your fallen contestants.

Saylor: *sweats* (Oh no, I don't know the other contestants...)

Marcel: (This is a piece of cake.)

Penny: The challenge will begin if you guys wear the bracelet that is connected to the lie detector.

The three of them wear the bracelet before they begin the challenge.

Penny: Is everyone ready?

Marcel: Yep.

Capri: Ready.

Saylor: Ready as well.

Penny: Question number 1. Have you ever stayed up late during the nighttime?

Capri: Sometimes.

Marcel: Not really.

Saylor: No.

They heard the buzz of the lie detector.

Penny: Then that's one point Saylor.

Saylor: Ouch.

Penny: Question number 2. Do you believe in ghosts?

Capri: Yes.

Marcel: This is stupid... no I don't believe in ghosts...

They heard the buzz of the lie detector for the second time.

Penny: Now that's one point, Marcel.

Marcel: Fine... I lied about it to stand out.

Saylor: Kinda. Looks like we're tied.

Marcel: Yeah...

Penny: Question number 3. Do you have an embarrassing moment?

Marcel: ... Yes.

Capri: I have a few if I remember.

Saylor: No.

They heard the buzz of the lie detector for the third time.

Saylor: You got to be shitting me.

Penny: Now you have 2 points, Saylor, it's either you earn the points by lying or don't earn the points by telling the truth. That's how the game works.

Saylor: Fine...

This continued the challenge where they kept hearing the buzz of the lie detector from three of them who lied in one of the 11 rounds until they reached round 15.

Penny: Alright, here are the points before we finish this.

Marcel: 6
Saylor: 7)

Saylor: Huh!? How did you get the least points!?

Capri: I didn't lie much, I basically tell the truth at times even if I find it embarrassing.

Saylor: Oh...

Marcel: Looks like we're ready for the last question.

Penny: Alright, for your last question. Do you think your confident about winning the challenge to get the spot?

Marcel: That's a no for me.

Saylor: No...

Capri: Kinda.

Penny: The game's over. That means Capri will get the spot for one versus one since she got the least number of points. Marcel and Saylor will face each other after a 10-minute break.

They went to the bleachers to take a 10-minute break since Marcel and Saylor would compete against each other later.

Saylor: Well played. Turns out, I lied most of the time because I'm still in denial when it comes to those embarrassing questions.

Capri: It's alright Saylor, everyone has embarrassing moments too. It takes time to get over it, so no need to rush.

Marcel: She's right, you know. Don't worry, we'll get over it, since sometimes it can haunt us in the back of our minds, but the past is the past.

Capri: Guys, whatever happens to you two in the challenge, good luck to both of you. You made it far from the start. Hell, that makes you a great player who plays not just in a strategic way but also fairly.

Marcel: Good thing we didn't end up leaving the game early, just like Pierce.

Saylor: Wait, he did that?

Marcel: Yep.

After 10 minutes had passed, Marcel and Saylor went to Penny for the challenge.

Penny: If one of you gets three correct answers, that means you will make it to the final 2. So are you ready for the challenge?

Marcel: Yeah...

Saylor: Let's get over this, I know I'm bad at this.

Penny: Alright. Question number 1. What does Pierce hate? It could be one of those answers.

Saylor pressed the buzzer.

Saylor: Pierce hates not just pineapple on pizza, but also gay and transgender people!

Penny: That is correct! Saylor earned one point.

Saylor sighs in relief.

Marcel: Good job Saylor.

Penny: Question number 2, what was the reason why Ollie and Adrian lost in the 12th challenge?

Marcel pressed the buzzer.

Marcel: It's because Ollie is trying to get the food in the cabin since he's hungry, while Adrian is trying to stop him from going inside the cabin.

Penny: That is correct Marcel! Marcel has one point!

Marcel: That was easy. I've been there.

Saylor: Good for you.

Penny: Question number 3. What is Molly's role in the 17th challenge?

Marcel quickly pressed the buzzer before Saylor pressed it.

Marcel: Innocent! I have the sheriff role while Saylor has the murderer role!

Penny: That's correct! Marcel has two points!

Saylor: You're a good observer. Looks like you're improving from that.

Marcel: Thanks.

Penny: If Marcel got this question right, that means he'll be in the top 2 with Capri. But there will be one more question if Saylor got this question right. So get ready.

They both prepared themselves for the next question.

Penny: Question number 4, what prize did Fallon win in the 16th challenge?

Saylor hesitated before pressing the buzzer.

Saylor: Coloring materials?

Penny: Wrong. Marcel, what's your answer?

Marcel: Customized UNO cards?

Penny: That's correct Marcel! You are indeed an observer like Saylor said. That means you get the spot for one versus one! Good job of reaching the game, Marcel!

Marcel: That's surprising...

Penny: That means Saylor will be in third place. Good job Saylor for playing the game, despite your appearance being short.

Saylor: I guess it's not bad.

Marcel and Saylor made a handshake while Capri went to the two.

Capri: Who won the riddle challenge?

Saylor: Marcel won, which means I'm in 3rd place.

Capri: At least we're still in the top 3 of the competition except you have the placement while Marcel and I don't.

Saylor: Fair enough. I'll get some rest.

Capri: Yeah, it's been a long day.

They all went back to the cabin while Everest was eavesdropping on the three.

Everest: I guess that's everything. I'll tell Rye about this.
