Brayden's POV

It's a shame that either of us didn't join the game, since I didn't have a vote while Spencer failed at the hide and seek.

At least we have each other to spend time with outside of the competition set, we can do anything we want, but what should we do?

I went to look for Spencer since I knew that he was also bored on those days.

I saw Spencer, who was still lying down on his bed since he had nothing to do other than look at the ceiling.

Brayden: Spencer? Want to spend time together with our friends to celebrate October?

Spencer: That's what I'm thinking too, since we have nothing else to do today.

Brayden: So what are we going to do?

Spencer: I know it sounds pretty stupid yet childish, but should we go trick or treating?

Brayden: Sure, I miss those days when we were kids.

Spencer: How about we inviting Cain and Capri? I don't mind if Cain wanted to bring Brynn with us.

Brayden: Good idea, but what costume should we wear?

Spencer: We'll figure it out. How about we let them go with us for them to decide on what to wear?

Brayden: Fair enough.

Spencer and I went to look for our friends so we could start early before the time we'd do trick or treating.

I saw Capri chilling at the pond, looking at the reflection.

Spencer: Capri?

Capri didn't respond to either of us.

Brayden: Capri?

Capri didn't respond again.

Guess we have to leave her alone.

Capri: Yes?

Nevermind, guess she woke up to reality.

Brayden: Do you want to hang out with me and Spencer do trick or treating? We'll invite Cain and Brynn to go with us together.

Capri: I'll join since I miss trick or treating with my childhood friends.

Capri gets up before we go to look for Brynn and Cain, since we'll do trick-or-treating together.

Then we saw Brynn and Cain, who were resting on their bed together, since they wanted to take a break from the competition.

Brayden: Sorry to disturb you, but do you want to go with us to decide what costume we should wear?

Cain: Maybe later, both of us will get up since Brynn is resting.

Brayden: Alright, if you say so.

We left and went to the bus for us to go inside the bus before it started moving.

While waiting, Spencer and I were talking about the plan for what costume I should wear for trick-or-treating.

Spencer: So what will you wear for later?

Brayden: I'm not fully sure, but can we wear the matching costumes?

Spencer: Like what?

Brayden: The costume that you're going to wear later.

Spencer: Wait, you want to dress yourself as a black cat too?

Brayden: I know it sounds stupid but I'll wear the white cat to match the opposite. I know it's not related to it, but that's all that I can decide.

Spencer: I see, it might be good to try it out, I promise.

Brayden: Capri, what costume are you going to wear later?

Capri: I'll go with the werewolf since I thought it might look cool.

Spencer: That's nice.

Then all of us noticed that the bus had stopped, meaning we arrived at the same city we always go to.

We got off the bus and went to the mall. Then we went inside to look for the costume that we were going to wear.

Spencer: Guys look! I saw the cat's ears! This is what I need for me and Brayden!

Capri: You can go ahead. I'll get the wolf's ears on the other side of this aisle.

I guess Capri would go to the other side of the aisle, while Spencer and I tried to figure out which cat ears match each other.

Spencer: I think these black cat ears would do. Have you decided already?

Brayden: Not yet. I'm still looking for it.

Spencer: I'll help.

Brayden: Are you sure?

Spencer: I'm sure.

I saw Spencer had got white cat ears which I didn't know I needed. He gave it to me for me to try wearing it.

Spencer: Here. You can try it on.

I wear my cat ears. They look good.

Brayden: I'll take it.

Spencer: Alright, now for the tail. It can be fluffy if it's your preference.

Brayden: Uh sure..

We have got a black cat tail and have a white cat tail which we tie around our waist.

Brayden: Not gonna lie, it's kinda weird to wear a costume in this kind of form.

Spencer: Yeah, but it's worth a try.

Brayden: If you say so.

Capri: I'm done picking up the costume or something. Are we good?

Spencer: Yep, we're good.

All of us went out of the mall and chilled somewhere on the bus.

Bus Driver: Fine, you're lucky that I will not go back there since I'll mess around in the city to take a break.

We saw the bus driver get off the bus before all of us chilled inside the bus as the time passed by.

End of Brayden's POV

6 hours later...

After they have been waiting for it to become night time, they are waiting in the streets while wearing costumes.

Capri: I wonder how long those two will arrive?

Brayden: We'll wait for a little while.

Then Cain and Brynn arrive while wearing their costumes.

Cain: Hello guys!

Brynn: Cain wanted to bring me along with you, if you don't mind.

Capri: Don't worry Brynn, you are welcome to us.

Brynn: Have you guys got the basket?

Brayden: Oh shoot! I haven't bought the baskets!

Capri: We can go there together to buy one.

They went to the mall to buy a basket that resembled a jack o' lantern.

Then they went out afterwards. They finally have the baskets.

Cain: So shall we begin?

Brayden: We'll begin.

They went to the first house in the village to start their trick or treating.

Cain knocks on the door for them, so they wait for someone to respond.

Cain: *whispers to Brynn* When someone goes out the door with candies, just ask trick or treat. That's part of the tradition.

Brynn gave Cain a thumbs up before one of the villagers went out of the house while holding the basket of candies.

All: Trick or treat!

The villagers decided to give the candies to them by putting some of them in their baskets.

Then they move on to the next house. Capri knocks on the door and waits for them to come out.

Another villager went out of the house while carrying the basket of candies.

All: Trick or treat!

They decided to give them the candies by putting them in the basket.

After 4 hours had passed by, they went to the park to take a break while some of them were eating the candies.

Brayden was writing the note secretly and putting it in the basket, hoping that Spencer would read it.

Brayden was nervous while eating a bar of chocolate since he had secretly had a crush on Spencer since high school.

And he's unsure if he's into girls, since he was popular before as an athletic student.

Spencer saw the paper and decided to read it.

Spencer smiles and decides to talk to him in private.

Spencer: Brayden, can we please have a talk?

Brayden: Oh sure..

They both went to another bench for them to have a private talk.

Capri: Why did they want to talk in private?

Brynn: That's weird. I didn't know they were wearing the matching colors of the same costumes they're wearing.

Meanwhile, with Spencer and Brayden

Brayden: So what do you want to talk about?

Spencer: The note that you gave me.

Brayden: Ah. *looks away while blushing* So, did you like me?

Spencer: Of course I like you too, you idiot. I'm not interested in girls.

Brayden: Glad to know...

Spencer: How about a kiss?

Brayden: Eh!?

Spencer: Alright, we'll take time, so, soft kiss?

Brayden: Might do.

Spencer gave him a soft kiss while giving him head pats.

Brayden smiled nervously as he felt him giving him a soft kiss.

Spencer: Now, shall we go? Others are waiting for us.

Brayden: Right..

They went back to the group for them to get on the bus to go back to the competition set.

Meanwhile, with Rye and Everest

Rye and Everest are hiding in the bush, trying to target which one they should kidnap.

Rye: Who do you think we should kidnap?

Everest: I think that badminton racket, since he doesn't look stronger than a shuttlecock.

Rye: If you say so. But how do we blackmail him though?

Everest: We'll do a bit of spying until we have the right time to abduct him.

Rye: Noted.

Both of them went back to the apartment where they rented for them to plan their next move.
