"I can do this all day Batman I am not scared if you." Said Lawton as he fired a few shots in Batman's direction. "I know that you aren't bullet proof so you might as well make it a little harder for me." He said before the lights in the apartment went out and it was pitch black.

Lawton looked around frantic Batman had turned off the lights and Lawton was not to surprised he did this. He pulled his mask over his face and turned his eye to see heat signatures. He looked around nothing was there then a big blur came in front of him he shot three bullets all feeling like they went right through. Batman punched him right in the face having him drop his gun, Lawton tried to hit him but Batman grabbed his hand and dislocated it. He kicked him in the knee sending him to the ground.

"Who hired you Lawton?!" Yelled Batman as he picked up Lawton and shoved him up against the wall.

"I don't know, I was given a name and a bag of money. He didn't tell me his name." Said Lawton as Batman tightened his grip.

"You sure that is all you know?!" Intimidated Batman as he through him to the ground.

"I swear that is all I know!" Yelled out Lawton as a smile came a cross his face, he pulled up a pistol and shot Batman in the leg. "I ain't telling you shi..." Said Lawton as Batman punched him in the down there, Lawton screamed in pain.

"Know what else do you know or do I have to drop you?!" Urged out Batman as he broke a window and shoved Lawton out having only a small on of his feet still on the window.

"The money came with this." Said Lawton as he gave Batman a playing card. "I promise you there is nothing else I know." Lawton Said as Batman through him back into his hotel.

"All this is, is a Joker playing card? You sure this is all you have?" Asked Batman in a slightly nicer tone.

"Yes, that is all I promise." Said Lawton as he backed up, turned around and grabbed one of his guns but it was to late Batman was gone. "Damn."

"Alfred bring up everything you can on the Joker." Said Bruce as he hopped into the bat mobile.

"Right away Master Wayne." Said Alfred over the coms as Bruce his the gas and sped off back to Wayne Manor.

It was a short drive till Bruce made it back. He parked the bat mobile in the bat cave and hoped out walking over to Alfred to see what he had dug up. Alfred was sitting in a chair sipping coffee as Bruce asked him.

"What have we got so far?"

"Nothing really this Joker fella is hidden in depth, I can't dig anything up." Said Alfred as he kept on trying to get information on Joker.

"I think I know someone else who might want to help and if not I have other ways I can find information." Said Bruce as he jumped on back into the bat mobile and started to head out.

"It is almost sun rise don't you think you should take something else?" Asked Alfred as he was worried for Bruce.

"I am just doing a quick stop at the north precinct I wont be gone to long." Said Bruce as he headed off.

Bruce hit the gas and headed down to the north precinct. There he parked his car a few blocks away for safety and climbed to the top of the precinct building. He opened the door and walked on down the stairs and hid inside of Detective Gordon office. He turned off all of lights and the Detective walked on into his office startled.

" I need everything you know about the Joker." Said Batman as Gordon pulled out a gun and aimed at Batman.

"Who the hell do you think you are sneaking into my office, into a police precinct." Yelled out Gordon as he gripped his gun tight. "I will have to call you in."

"No need I have cut the phone lines it is just you and me, now where do you keep all of the information on Joker and I will be on my way." Said Batman as he hid closer into the shadows.

"We don't have much just a small box of items that is all." Said Gordon as he loosened up his grip on his gun. "Are you trying to help?"

"I am trying to turn Gotham into a real city not one that is filled with fear and pain." Said Batman as Gordon put away his gun and took Batman into evidence.

"Here you go this is all we have on the Joker." Said Gordon as he handed Batman a box that felt nearly empty. "I hope this helps it is all we...got?" Said Gordon but when he looked back at Batman he was gone.

"Alfred I have got some evidence that could help us I am on my way back home." Said Bruce as he started the car and headed back to the bat cave.
