Just as I suspected Batman was waiting "Selina why did you agree to Macain's terms? You can't trust him." Batman asked.

"You think that I don't know that? I had no choice. The cost was too high. If I am sent to Arkham I'd never...." I placed my hand on my belly for a split second before glaring angrily up at Batman. "It's none of your concern! It's my life and I'll make my own choices. Stay out of this!" I hissed a him. As I turned to leave Batman grabbed my arm pulling me into his embrace.

"Not until you hear me out." Batman replied and I frowned.

"I already told you, I've made up my mind about this. Besides it's only one date. Look, it's getting late and it's going to be a long day tomorrow so if you don't mind I'd like to go to bed." I said with a frustrated sigh.

The next morning I stretched and yawned like a cat and stared at the clock. Shoot! It was almost 8:45 I was due to have breakfast with Bruce Wayne at 9:00.

"Good morning Selena. How have you been?" Bruce asked as he gave me a hug.

"To be honest, I've been a bit under the weather."

"Oh? Nothing serious I hope?"

"Nothing that you need concern yourself about." I reply flashing him a smile.

The day went by fast and soon it was time for me to get ready for my date with Macain. A date, that I wasn't looking for ward too. "Good evening Selena." Macain said kissing my hand. "You look as ravishing as ever my dear."

When we arrived at the restaurant the host wasted no time in getting us the very best table. "Your waiter will be with you momentarily."

"Hello. My name is Jackson. I'll be your waiter tonight. Can I start you off with anything?"

"And what would the lovely lady like to drink?"

"Just some warm milk." I reply blushing slightly as the waiter kisses my hand causing Macain to let out an irritated growl. His eyes flashing in both anger and jealousy. I sigh this was going to be a long night.
