Abe's PoV

The graduation ceremony was one no one would ever forget.  Both Celine and Damien, valedictorian and salutatorian respectfully, gave wonderful speeches.  The guest speaker, was motivating, and six guards with guns stood watch.  Edward Nigma, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy were in attendance.  

I felt almost empty, my parents wouldn't be here to share this.  Criminals, villains, could be here, but not the hero.  I crossed the stage third from last, most of the clapping was because this was almost over.  When we were released form our perfect line, I didn't move for a long time.  I held in my hand a one way ticket away from here.  Any place I wanted, so long as the collage needed to check 'rich orphan' off their enrollment bingo card. Celine had a free ride out of here, and after a year Damian too would be off to school.  

I started walking like a zombie to the back exit.  I told Ben not to come, I didn't need him here to tell me things I already knew.  A hand grabbed mine and I nearly jumped out of my skin.  Will gave me a big joyful smile smile, as he pulled me closer to Harley Quinn.  She looked like a typical mom , nice dress and shoes that matched her purse.  Her hair was white, no longer died with the pink and blue.  "You must be one of William's friends.  It's so good to meet you Abe"

Even though I knew it must have been because Will had told her it still freaked me out that she knew my name.  "Yeah... it's good to meet you too" I forced myself to smile.  Will wrapped an arm around my shoulders, well he tried.  I spent a lot of extra time at the gym, he still had his cute chubby belly.  He hadn't changed in the passed few years.

"Mom, can he come over for dinner, he doesn't have anyone here for him"

Harley Quinn nodded with a smile.  "Of course Puddin'. Ivy's around here somewhere, let's go find her"

I opened my mouth to protest but something stopped me in my tracks, Will's face.  He was almost always smiling, but this one was so hopeful, so handsome.  I smiled back.  He grabbed my hand and went looking for Ivy.
