(The sun was rising and sunlight beamed through the blinds. Barbara was still passed out on the bed and slowly opened her eyes once the rays of the sun touched her skin. She groaned as her messy hair was all over her face and moved it over her right shoulder. She slowly rose herself up and looked around while rubbing her head.)

Barbara: "Ohh, my head. I better go wash my face." (She carefully moved her legs over to the side of the bed and saw that her wheelchair over in the corner next to the window. Barbara pouted and crossed her arms.)

Barbara: "Seriously? How did my chair end up over there?" (She sighed and got up to walk over to the wheelchair.)

Barbara: "This is really weird. Am I dreaming right now?" (She wiggled her toes in the carpet and Barbara's eyes were wide. She looked down and saw that her legs were fine.)

Barbara: "No way." (She jumped up and down as she was excited.)

Barbara: (Thoughts) "My legs are back! I can't believe that I can feel them again! It's like God gave me a new pair of legs, but didn't! Thank goodness! Goodbye, decoy boots! Hello, walkable Batgirl has returned! Now, about that strange figure last night. Who was that person and why did it help me regain my strength? That is very strange indeed." (Suddenly, her phone vibrated and Ace came in the room. Barbara petted him and she picked up her phone. There was a text from Dinah and there was also a missing phone call from Frankie. Barbara begins to see Dinah's text.)

Dinah: (Texted) "Hey, Babs! How are you?"

Barbara: (Texted) "OMG, D! I'm doing amazing! A wonderful miracle happened! I have my legs back!"

Dinah: (Texted) "Whoa! What?! 😮 Seriously? That's great!"

Barbara: (Texted) "I know! I was surprised as well!"

Dinah: (Texted) "Is your father home?" (Barbara took a peek outside of her door and didn't see her father in the house. She assumed that he went to work early again and texted back to Dinah.)

Barbara: (Texted) "No, he went to work early. Why do you ask?"

Dinah: (Texted) "You can come see me for breakfast at Pauli's Diner. I'll pay for the tab. Breakfast is on me. 🍳"

Barbara: (Texted) "Mmm...breakfast. 😋 I'll be there in a few minutes."

Dinah: (Texted) LOL! Okay, I'll wait by the entrance."

Barbara: (Texted) "Alright." (She puts her phone in her cross handbag and takes a shower. After she brushed her teeth and brushed her hair, she got dressed into this outfit.)

(Barbara smiled brightly and straightened her jean jacket vest.)

Barbara: (Sighs) "Okay. Time for breakfast." (She grabbed the house key, puts food in Ace's bowl and exited the door. She caught a bus and headed towards the restaurant. Dinah was smiling when she saw Barbara through the window. Barbara saw Dinah as she gets off the bus and smiled.)

Dinah: "Good morning, Babs." (Barbara straightened her handbag and stood up straight.)

Barbara: "Hello, Dinah. Good morning to you as well."

Dinah: "You ready for the best breakfast ever?"

Barbara: "You know it, rockstar." (Dinah tilted her head towards the entrance of the restaurant.)

Dinah: "Then let's rock." (She opened the door and jazzy music was playing. Dinah and Barbara sat down at the first empty booth they saw. Barbara smiled at Dinah brightly.)

Barbara: "I can't wait to eat breakfast. I am starving like a wolf."

Dinah: (Laughs) "Don't I know it?" (She picked up the breakfast menu and cops were passing by the diner with their sirens on. Barbara groaned and her thoughts came in.)

Barbara: (Thoughts) "Really? Now? When I'm trying to order my breakfast? Ugh, why does being a hero got to be so complicated?" (Barbara cleared her throat and Dinah was still paying attention to the menu.)

Barbara: "Uh, Dinah? I have to run. Can you order for me and put it in a to-go box?"

Dinah: "Uh, sure. Go ahead. I'll text you later to let you know that I got your food." (Barbara patted her shoulder and smiled.)

Barbara: "Thanks, Dinah." (She jogged into the bathroom and changed her clothes to Batgirl and puts on her gloves.)

Batgirl: "Time to take some criminals down. On an empty stomach. Boo..." She opened the window and jumped out. She activated Spy Drone and it came to life.

Spy drone: "Hello, Batgirl. What can I do for you?"

Batgirl: "I want you to summon my motorcycle. I'm going to take down a couple of criminals in a car chase."

Spy drone: "I'm on it." (He summoned her motorcycle and Batgirl puts on the helmet then takes off beside the cops. Batgirl saw the criminals up ahead driving muscle cars. She smirked.)

Batgirl: "Spy drone! Activate thrusters!" (A massive thruster on the back of her motorcycle boosted her farther in between the two criminal drivers.)

Batgirl: "Good morning, gentlemen! Did you know that speeding on roads like this is against the law?" (One of the muscle cars tried to ram Batgirl, but she moved just in time before the car bumped into the one next to it. Batgirl took pressed a button on her console then oil spills out from the back of the bike. The thugs in their cars begin to panic as their wheels were covered and they tumbled several times. They finally stopped and stood upside down on their hoods. The cop cars screeched to a halt and they got out to investigate the cars. Batgirl was already at the edge of a building looking down at the cops searching the cars. Her thoughts were swarming into her head.)

Batgirl: (Thoughts) "Well, since those high speed thugs are down, might as well pay Mr. Freeze a visit, but I'll need the location." (Batgirl had her phone out and went to her GPS tracker.)

Batgirl: "Spy drone, send me Mr. Freeze's location."

Spy drone: "Right away, Batgirl." (The tracker started beeping and blinking until it made a positive ping sound on the tracker showing a yellow dot which it assumes to be Mr. Freeze. Batgirl smiled and nodded.)

Batgirl: "Mr. Freeze, I'm on my way." (She glided to Mr. Freeze's location and Mr. Freeze was in his icy lair watching his beautiful wife Nora within her cold inducing casket. Batgirl landed from inside the overhead and Mr. Freeze turned around and saw Batgirl.)

Mr. Freeze: "Batgirl." (He nodded his head while having his direct eye contact and Batgirl crossed her arms while rubbing them because it was seriously cold like -7 degrees Fahrenheit cold.)

Batgirl: "Mr. Freeze. You wanted to see me?" (She tried her best to not show her shivering, chattering face. Mr. Freeze was walking around in his big metal suit to keep the cold inside of him.)

Mr. Freeze: "It's my wife, Nora. I want to save her, but nothing seems to be working." (Batgirl went to the icy casket slowly and used her elbow to wipe away the frosty mist to see her clearly. She gasped and puts her hand on the casket.)

Batgirl: "Nora. She's beautiful." (Mr. Freeze had sadness through his goggles and slowly nodded.)

Mr. Freeze: "Yes...Yes, she is." (Batgirl then turned around and faced Freeze with her arms still crossed.)

Batgirl: "How did she get this way?" (Mr. Freeze looked down and tried not to think about the past.)

Mr. Freeze: "Lab accident. A long, long time ago. I'd rather not talk about it." (Batgirl realized how hurt he was and shook her head.)

Batgirl: "Forgive me for prying. I shouldn't have asked that of your past."

Mr. Freeze: "I would do anything to hold her in my arms again." (Mr. Freeze had a tear go down his right cheek and Batgirl sighed with emotion then looked back up seriously.)

Batgirl: "What do I need to do, Freeze? Tell me."

Mr. Freeze: "I need you to find the healing serum. It is in a vial of a blue substance. It's not very hard to find. If you might hurry, it's in Gothcorp. The lab where the accident started. Please, help me find a cure for my wife. Promise me, you'll bring it back." (He was pleading with sadness and agony. Batgirl felt very bad and looked at Nora in the cryo-stasis casket. Then she nodded and looked at Freeze while patting his shoulder.)

Batgirl: "I will help you. That's a promise. I get it. You're just telling everyone that your wife needs a cure."

Mr. Freeze: "Yet they wouldn't listen. It's all I ever wanted was to be wth her again." (Batgirl agreed while thinking about it.)

Batgirl: "I respect that. Stay here. I'll be right back." (Batgirl grappled herself out of the lair and quickly headed to Gothcorp that was covered in ice.)

Batgirl: (Sighs in annoyance) "Welp, back into the Winter Wonderland. Again." (She bursted through the two icy solid doors and snow flew out of the business building. Batgirl rubbed her shoulder and looked around as it was dark.)

Batgirl: "Can't see a thing. Spy drone, give me some light." (Spy drone activated its flashlight and looked around. Batgirl found a lab table with a vial container. Batgirl smiled.)

Batgirl: "Found the container that holds vials." (She ran to it and looked inside, but no vials were inside.)

Batgirl: "What?! It's empty? That can't be right. I don't believe it." (She looked under the table and a broken vial was shattered. Batgirl was frustrated and hits the table with her hand.)

Batgirl: "Damn it!" (The same mysterious voice that Barbara heard from her room was in the shadows.)

Mysterious Voice: "Looking for something?" (Batgirl turned her head and the mysterious person was holding the blue serum in between the thumb and the index finger.)

Batgirl: "Give me that! I need it!" (The mysterious person shook its head.)

Mysterious Person: "No, I don't think so. Batgirl."

Batgirl: "Why do you cower beneath the shadows, huh? Afraid you'll be beaten by a girl?" (The mysterious person laughed and Batgirl sternly looked at the shadow.)

Mysterious Person: "You wish you didn't go toe to toe with me."

Batgirl: "Who the hell are you? I'm very serious!" (The mysterious person walked up out of the shadows and it was a male wearing a red mask.)

Mysterious Person: "I am Red Hood and I will give you the vial as long as you agree to listen to my words." (Batgirl tilted her head and then she shrugged.)

Batgirl: "Alright. I'm listening." (She rubbed her arms to get some friction.)

Red Hood: "I've come to give you some terrible news." (Batgirl raised her eyebrows for him to continue and Red Hood faced Batgirl with seriousness.)

Red Hood: "Your close partner, Nightwing." (Batgirl was nervous of what Red Hood was going to say.)

Batgirl: "What? What about him?" (Red Hood just went right out with it.)

Red Hood: "Nightwing is dead. The Pact took him out. I'm sorry." (Batgirl was heartbroken and shocked while holding her heart.)

Red Hood: "I am really sorry. I tried to save him, but it was too late." (Batgirl had tears coming down and clenched her hands into fists.)

Batgirl: "You should've been there quicker. Now, he is gone because of you!" (Batgirl was walking towards him in anger.)

Red Hood: "Batgirl, let's not get too carried away. You need to focus." (Batgirl was shocked and shuts her eyes tightly in frustration.)

Batgirl: "Focus? FOCUS?! How can I focus if Nightwing, my personal boyfriend is dead? And you want me to move on with my life?! I don't think so! You're done here!" (She had rage within her heart and Red Hood puts down the  vial. Batgirl was pacing forward Red Hood and Red Hood did the same.)

Here we are, the longest wait for this is over! I am very, very sorry for this seriously long update. I just had so much to do over the past few months and it was kind of stressful, so I am back now.
