Earth 39

Meanwhile, on Earth 39, the Commissioner's daughter, Barbara Gordon, AKA Oracle/Batgirl [formerly], was rolling in her wheelchair in the Gotham Clock Tower. She got her usual cup of coffee from the kitchen, rolling to her super computer. It had been several years after The Joker had shot her in the hip, permanently paralyzing her from the waist down, thus causing her to abruptly retire from being Batgirl, partner and ally to Batman. To compensate for her physical disabilities, she became a technical advisor/hacker/informant known as Oracle.

She sighed as she was on her computer, putting on her headpiece mic. She then put on her glasses. "Back to work," she said to herself. Next to her was a Gotham Newspaper that said, and I quote, "BAT BRAND OF JUSTICE!" She sighed. She was disgusted that her mentor, whom she thought was a second father to her, would do something so violent and despicable. She didn't care if the death of Jason made Bruce's brutal behavior any justifiable. It didn't at all. Due to her eidetic memory, Barbara remembered a more simple, innocent time, when Bruce would do things by the book, when she was beautiful, when she could walk. How she missed those days.

Suddenly, the TARDIS appeared in Barbara's room. She gasped, wondering if she was seeing things due to the lack of sleep from working so hard. "How could this be possible?" she asked, looking at the TARDIS. Though, to be fair, she was a Whovian. She rolled her wheelchair to the TARDIS, looking with curiosity. The TARDIS opened up, and out came Dr. Woof, looking around the Clock Tower. "A dog?" asked Barbara as she looked at him. Dr. Woof looked at Barbara, wagging his tail. "Either I need to get rest, or you're not from around here..." said Barbara. Dr. Woof nodded, replying to the fact that he was not from Earth 39. "You can understand me, huh boy?" she asked, earning another nod, "can you talk?"

"Actually yeah, I can," said Dr. Woof, surprising Barbara. She looked at him, then touched the top part of his head to see if he was real. "You got a name?" she asked. "They call me Dr. Woof," he said. Barbara then laughed. Maybe it was the wordplay. Maybe it was the fact that she was talking to a German Shepard dressed like The Doctor that could speak with an English accent. "So The Doctor and everything about him actually exists?" she asked, while amused. "Yes it does, I'm his dog," said the Canine Doctor. "You are adorable," she said as she then scratched his ears, "now what brings you here?"

"I'm here on a mission to stop Lex Luthor," explained Dr. Woof, "he received a Book of the Dead from a mischievous imp from the 5th Dimension. This book could cause calamities in Earth 39." Barbara nodded, believing him. "While you're here," said Barbara, "could I be your companion? I'd love to help you." Dr. Woof nodded and said, "Actually, I'd like that a lot."
