All the batboys were sitting in silence in the family room, mostly just on their phones. Suddenly Jason's eyes went wide and he abruptly stood up, still staring at his phone. "Shut up." Jason nearly yelled. They all looked at him weirdly. Then Tim spoke up. "No one was talking..."

It was early morning, Jason having been woken up especially early for Robin training so he could have enough time to get ready for school. Bruce sat across from him reading the paper while Jason miserably picked at his breakfast. Suddenly he dropped his fork on the table, still not looking up. "We live in a putrid world, filled with putrid people, to live putrid lives while I go to a putrid school with putrid kids and wake up at an even more putrid hour."

Bruce looked up at him for a second, then back down at the paper. "Yep."

Bruce walked down to the bat cave getting ready for patrol. The second he got there he groaned and facepalmed. "Jason! I get that it's the anniversary since when I adopted you but do you always have to steal the tires off the bat mobile?!"

Update: bonus scenario

Jason walked downstairs and entered the family room where Tim sat on his laptop. "Did you get new shoes?" He asked. Jason looked over at him, stood on his heels and started rolling towards Tim. "Glad you noticed."

Fourteen year old Jason stood crouched over the camera, quickly setting it up. He then ran over to the white Mercedes parked in the drive-way. He had started a YouTube channel a few months ago and he was gaining some popularity already, nearing 25k subscribers soon. Jason climbed onto the hood of the car and got in a striking pose to start the video off.

He began the video when a shout was heard off camera. "Jason! What do you think you're doing!? You're going to leave a dent!" Jason's eyes went wide for second before slipping off the car mumbling 'shit' under his breath, quickly turning off the camera.
