Dick and Wally had been dating for a year now and they both knew very well they loved each other. But something had always bothered Wally. Something he could ignore but lately, had been eating at him. Dick never came out to Bruce. He never told him they were dating. Why not? He told Barry the second they started dating. He was overjoyed to share the news. Why wasn't Dick? When Wally was over at the manor in Dick's room, he knew he had to talk to him about it.

They were both sitting on the bed, Dick's head laying in Wally's lap while he played with his black hair. Dick looked up at Wally, a smile on his face as Wally lent down and pecked the boy's lips.

Wally leaned back, using his hands to keep him up. "Hey Dick, we gotta talk about something." He said, getting the other's attention. Dick leaned up and sat criss-cross in front of Wally. "What is it?" Wally hesitated for a second before looking Dick in the eyes, "Why won't you tell Bruce we're together?" Dick looked at him, then at his hands. He shrugged lightly and answered, "I don't know" in a quiet voice.

"I don't know isn't an answer, Dick." Wally said. "I don't see why I have to." Dick said, looking up at Wally. Wally gave him a look that screamed 'are you kidding me?'. "Dick he's your father, you have to tell him you're gay and that we're dating. You can't keep that from him." Wally reasoned, though Dick still didn't look willing. Wally stood up beside the bed and sighed. "Is it me?" He asked. "What? No!" Dick reasoned. "Are you embarrassed of me?" Wally continued. "Of course not!" Dick replied, standing up as well.

"Then what is it?" Wally asked. "I don't know!" Dick said again. "Dick." Wally said in a serious voice. "I'm afraid. I'm afraid to tell him. I don't know how he'll react." Dick said, his voice getting quieter as he talked. "Dick, I've known Bruce just as long as I've know you! I know he'll be nothing but accepting." Wally said. "Wally..I can't." Dick said quietly, almost a whisper.

Wally looked at him in disbelief. "Y'know Dick, if you can't tell him, then maybe this isn't working." Wally said, looking towards the ground. Dick's eyes teared up as he stared at the other boy. "Wally.." Dick said, reaching to touch Wally's cheek with a shaky hand. Wally took a step back, slowly shaking his head, tears in his own eyes. He turned around and left the room.

Dick sat back down on the bed, laying his elbows on his knees and covering his face with his hands as he cried. He could hear the front door slam and that only caused him to cry harder.

"Master Dick, is everything alright?" Dick heard Alfred's voice say from the doorway. Before all of this, he would've loved to talk to Alfred, but right now he wanted to be alone. "Get out.." he replied quietly, trying to keep his voice steady. "Are you sure-" "Get. Out." Dick repeated louder, still not looking at the man. Alfred nodded even though he knew he couldn't see him and closed the door.

Dick stayed like that for awhile. He finally stopped crying after an hour but all he did was lay in bed, thinking. When dinner was ready, Dick went downstairs but didn't talk much or eat. Bruce tried to ask what happened between him and Wally but Dick didn't say a word.

When Dick went back into his room, he planned on just laying in his bed again, when his phone started ringing. It was Wally. Dick answered it and sat down on the edge of his bed.

"Hey." Wally spoke first. "Hey.." Dick replied, nervous of what he was going to say. "Look," Wally sighed before continuing, "I didn't mean to blow up like that. I'm sorry, Dick." "I'm sorry, too. I'm going to tell Bruce, I promise." "Only when you're ready, okay? I didn't mean to push you like that." "No, no..I needed a push. I never would've done it..and I would've lost you." "You won't lose me, if play your cards right. I do have many admirers." Wally joked, earning a laugh from Dick. "I love you, Dick." "I love you, Wally."
