It had been a week since Bruce's little mission. Alfred was both impressed and pissed off at the same time, which Bruce found a bit funny. He didn't get recognition for figuring out the case which was disappointing, but he understood why. But for the most part, everything had blown over.

Bruce hadn't completely gotten off scot-free however. Alfred had taken away his case files with a 'no detective work' rule. Of course Bruce would still find a way to, Alfred knew that.

Alfred had let Bruce stay home from school that week to clear his mind. That night was rough. He almost died. But now Bruce finally had to go back, which did not excite him. It's not that he didn't do well in school, he got amazing grades. He just wasn't the best at making friends, true friends at least. Friends that didn't just want to be around him because he was a Wayne.

Which is why Bruce was one of the only people to walk out of the school at the end of the day, alone. And why no one saw when he was dragged into a black car after being knocked out.

Alfred had been waiting for him at the school for a couple minutes. A couple minutes turned into 30 minutes and when it neared an hour, Alfred began to get anxious. He stepped out of the car and walked up the stairs to the school. He pulled open the front door and walked inside.

He walked through the maze of hallways until he found Mr. Parker's room. (random name that may have been taken from Spider-Man) "Excuse me sir, I believe Bruce Wayne has your class last, correct?" Alfred asked. The man smiled at him but still looked at him skeptically. "And you are?.." He asked. If this was a stranger, the teacher didn't want to put his student in possible danger.

"Oh yes of course, I'm Alfred Pennyworth, his legal guardian." Alfred said. To further prove himself, he showed the man his ID. When Mr. Parker was finally satisfied, Alfred asked, "So when did Bruce leave your classroom today?" Mr. Parker gave him a weird look. "He left the same time as everyone else." He replied. "Do you know if he went to talk to any other teachers?" Alfred asked, now getting desperate. "No, I'm afraid not. All I know is he was one of the first to leave this classroom like always." Mr. Parker explained.

"Oh bloody hell." Alfred muttered before leaving.

Meanwhile...

Bruce woke up in a grog. He was still tired and weak. He then felt he wasn't in his bed or even his home. He was tied up to a chair, a gag around his mouth and bright lights in his face. He squinted at the brightness when two black, silhouettes appeared in front of him. In one quick movement, one of the silhouettes took away the gag roughly, lightly scratching Bruce's lip. He flinched at the contact.

"This is the kid who found the two idiots?" Bruce heard a deep voice say. "Yeh, that's him." another, more gruff voice replied. "He awake yet?" Yet another voice said, this one sounding more feminine. The two silhouettes seemed to stiffen at her voice. "Yeah, we ready to start the fun yet?" The gruff voice said, sounding more sinister as he kept talking. "Soon. It's my turn right now." The woman replied.

The woman soon came into view as she stepped into the light. She was tall and slender with long blonde hair shaved on one side. Bruce took notice of the many knives strapped to her legs. "Well well, isn't it the famous Bruce Wayne." She said, a smug smile tugging at her lips. "We're not very fond of you at the moment, you know that?" She asked. Bruce remained silent, listening carefully to her words as he searched for a way out. "Silent type, fun." She said, walking closer. "Why do you think it's such a good idea to get into my business, huh?" Once again, Bruce didn't say a word. "You've been putting your nose where it doesn't belong." She said, her voice slowly getting more and more aggressive. She was now right in front of Bruce.

He had no clue what to do. Right now he was a dead man. He had no chance at survival unless he thought of something quick. The woman put her hand under Bruce's chin and jerked it up roughly, so he'd look at her. All the while he glared at her. "You're going to tell me everything you know, everything you saw, and how you found them." She explained. "And if I don't?" Bruce finally said. "Things will be real unfortunate for you." She smirked, and threw his chin down, scraping it with her finger nail. He could feel it bleed but ignored it.

"I don't know what your motive is with all these murders, but you won't get away with it for much longer." Bruce said, suddenly feeling courageous. "And why is that?" She growled. "I don't know if you realize, but I'm Bruce Wayne. I'm important to Gotham. I wouldn't be surprised if search parties were already looking for me." Bruce sneered. "They'll find wherever we are and expose whatever you're doing." Unexpectedly, the woman started laughing. "You sure think highly of yourself, don't you?"

Suddenly, a knife was put to his throat. He could feel the blade on his skin and started to panic. "Oh they'll find you, just maybe not alive." Bruce's breaths quickened as the knife pressed harder against him. He looked around the room frantically when he saw a fourth silhouette in the corner. He glanced at him a couple more times and finally recognized it as Alfred. He looked hopefully at his guardian. "I'll tell you what I know!" Bruce said quickly. The woman smirked. "Excellent."

Bruce took his time to start talking, waiting to see what Alfred had planned. Soon he saw one of the silhouette's in the background get dragged away without a sound. He held himself back from smiling. "I was only reading about the murders online. There I found possible places the killers could be hiding.." Bruce started, now both silhouettes were gone.  Alfred finally revealed himself in the light. The woman turned around, hearing his footsteps. "But- how.." She began, speechless. She snapped out of it and took out the knife she just used to threaten Bruce with. She charged at Alfred, who quickly sidestepped away.

The woman stumbled and regained her composure. She kicked the back of Alfred's legs, sending him forward. He used this boost to run over to Bruce and quickly untie him. Alfred looked at Bruce worriedly. "You alright?" He asked. "There's no time for that." Bruce replied. The woman was already coming towards them. She gripped her knife, ready to stab Alfred when Bruce stepped in her way. Instead of hitting Alfred, the knife sliced against Bruce's forearm, leaving a huge gash.

Bruce pulled away quickly, yelping when the knife hit his skin. Alfred looked over at Bruce to make sure the wound wasn't too bad. He then looked back at the woman and took a punch. He was able to knock the knife away and to make her stumble. He grabbed the knife and pointed it at her, inches away from her face. "You're going to let us leave." She looked up at him, wiping off blood coming from her nose. "Why would I do that?" She asked, anger evident in her voice. "Because you're not  in the best position at the moment."

The two stared for awhile, neither moving. Until Bruce ran up and pushed the woman to the ground. "Alfred! Come on!" He shouted. Alfred glanced at the woman but ran towards Bruce. He grabbed Bruce's non-injured arm and pulled him along. They heard the woman shouting and getting up. Alfred saw the door he came in through and threw it open. As Bruce was leaving, he saw the woman charging at him. He quickly closed the door behind him as he heard a loud thud.

Bruce and Alfred kept running down a dark, rundown hallway. They turned through twisting hallways until they finally found a big set of double doors. They busted through them, wincing at the bright light of the sun outside. Bruce closed the heavy doors, "Alfred, get that plank right there!" Bruce said. Alfred looked where he was pointing and got the big wood plank, putting it through the handles to lock it.

The two ran a bit further but finally stopped when they thought they were far away enough. Alfred sat down, breathing heavily and Bruce put his hands on his knees. Alfred looked over at him, "I'm never letting you out of my sight, ever again."
