Dick woke up in what seemed to be an alleyway. Nothing too suspicious. He felt like he'd fallen from a 10 story building. His back hurt like hell and he had an excruciating headache. He groaned as he sat up. "How did I get here?" He said to himself. He noticed he was still wearing his Robin uniform. "And where's Batman?" He added. He also noticed it was daytime, and even more surprising, it was sunny. Not like Gotham.

Two figures appeared in front of him. He wouldn't be as confused if one of the figures wasn't a robot and the other a walking American flag. "This is where the flash came from?" Captain America said to Iron Man. "Seems like it, but what's the deal with the kid?" They were talking like Robin wasn't even there, and even worse— they called him a kid. He hated being called a kid. Robin stood up. "Instead of talking like I'm not here, why don't you give me an explanation." Robin said, crossing his arms. "For instance, who are you?"

The two looked astonished. Who didn't know The Avengers? "You don't know us?" Captain America finally said. "Am I supposed to?" Robin replied. "Well, I gotta get back to Batman." "Who's Batman?" Iron Man said. Upon hearing those words, Robin's jaw nearly dropped. "Uh, you know, Batman, Caped Crusader, Dark Knight?" "Look kid, I don't know who you're talking about but–" He was interrupted, "Could you stop calling me a kid! Whatever, I'm leaving." Robin began trying to get his comm to work only to hear static as he slowly walked away.

"That kid seems suspicious, don't you think?" Cap questioned. "Maybe we should take him back to Headquarters." Iron Man nodded. Captain America tried to grab Robins upper arm, key word tried. Robin quickly side stepped, dodging him. Captain America was shocked but focused again quickly, he picked Robin up, only to have him thrashing. He was like butter and Captain America was having trouble even holding him. Robin spit in his face to try and distract him but he didn't let go.

"Just leave me alone!" Part of Robin thought he could figure this all out on his own but the other part began to realize his situation. 'These people not knowing Batman? He obviously wasn't in Gotham.' He was so deep in thought he didn't even realize the big 'A' shaped building he was being taken too until it was right in front of him. "Where are we?" Robin asked. Not too long after he was answered, "Avengers HQ"
