As products of an experimental attempt at genetic engineering, these children had each developed in cylindrical chambers filled with nutrient-rich fluid. After nine months, these Creations were then extracted – only later in their lives would they comprehend the extent to which even their external environment had been controlled and filtered.

As the children have been extracted between the dates 16th and 20th of February, of the same year, all survivors of Batch One share the same age. Each Creation had been given a number at Extraction, between 0 and 30, which was permanently stamped onto the inner wrist of their non-dominant hand on the day of Extraction (yes the Makers did know the kids' preferred hand before they extracted them). All females were given odd numbers; the males recieved even.

In this remaining group, there are:

FOUR CHILDREN WITHOUT ANY ROLES/GENETIC ALTERATIONS so they're just normal. [TAKEN – 4/4]

• fraternal (they technically came from the same zygote, HOWEVER mutations occurred and they look rather different) triplets (ALL COUNT AS ONE OF THE 29) [TAKEN – 3/3]

• nine children with unusual sensory differences/(dis)abilities (e.g. blindness; deafness; and sensory sensitivities/dormancy; SPDs; super smell; anything) [7/9]

• fifteen human children with enhanced (non-sensory) abilities (e.g. DON'T JUST DO SPEED OR STRENGTH, self-healing, immunity; anything) [14/15]

• four hybrid children with part of their DNA from another species [TAKEN – 4/4]

• five disabled or handicapped children which don't include sense-related disabilities like blindness (e.g. motor impairments; mute; NO MISSING LIMBS THO; whatever) [3/5]

In total, there are 40 roles to be used – or 36 if you aren't counting the Four Normal kids. However, an OC can have more than one role!
For example: a half human, half ladybug girl who is deaf.
But you don't have to use one of those roles for your OCs (they're merely there to encourage gene-diversity).

Btw, any twins only take up one space between them. Since they've split from the same zygote.
