*Intended Result: The Scientists wanted a hypervigilant girl with two hyperactive senses (visual and auditory), as well as quick reflexes and a fast runner.

Though the absence of melanin in her irises was supposed to drastically hinder her ability to see, it turns out her Makers had found a way to counteract that side-effect – meaning that she'd gotten almost all that was intended of her, plus a bonus heightened sense (tactile).

However, her speed is only good with long-distance running – she struggles with sprinting. Plus, don't even test this girl's reflexes – she wouldn't flinch if a knife was pointed at her.

*Appearance: Though her Makers knew they'd be dealing with a true albino, they'd collectively decided to let her grow. Besides, albinism is a beautiful trait – with Alayve's manifestation far from an exception:

Her near-white hair falls in shallow waves down her back, reaching just below her bottom [aged 9+]; she's growing her hair out, since aged 5 when she told the Carers to stop keeping it so short [an inch below shoulder-length].

Alayve's skin is freckle-less and almost colourless, and her eyes yield a hue of dilute sky-blue, but with a hint of... violet (not uncommon with true albinos)? Also, due to her supersensitive tactile receptors, she wears her clothes inside-out, and would even wear summer clothing in the algid depth of December. Besides – she'd rather freeze to death than be 'stabbed by fluff and seams'.

Alayve's BMI is on the slim side of normal, and while used to standing half-a-head below her peers – she's tiny! Just like her hands, head and feet, though her legs are rather long in proportion to the rest of her body.
