My ideas:

Oc had found out about Crush being a vampire. Seeing them sneak out at night and won't leave the house in general till it's night time. Having leave the house so crush wouldn't injure oc. Though oc offered to crush that they can take blood from them. Crush was hesitant due to the fear of might killing them. Though after a while of convincing crush can use blood from oc so they wouldn't hurt anyone else.
