A/N: I don't know if this would be a good book or not, so please let me know in the comments okay.
This story is an AU. So no superheroes or powers at all. So this is story is about Wally and Dick, it is roughly after the death of Dick's parents and his time in an abusive situation at the juvie, and his soon intake by Bruce Wayne. He ends up at the hospital and meets Wally and so others on the YJ team.
*contains self harm, depression, panic attacks, eating disorders, other hospital related medical things and suicide. Also Artemis/Zatanna ship And possible Birdflash!!*

Wally was sitting in his hospital room flipping through the channels on the T.V. he was super bored and hated that he had to come back to the hospital. He had just gotten out and here he was back in there.
Wally sighed and waved to all the familiar faces of the doctors and nurses. The hospital was his second home, he was actually here more often than he was at home.
Wally had a few medical issues, his biggest was having tachycardia which meant that he had a rapid heart rate that at times left him short of breath, dizzy, chest pains, fainting and heart palpitations. He was also A.D.H.D. and had an eating disorder. So he came to the hospital a lot. He his recent stay in the hospital was because of his eating disorder and he was glad that he finally was getting out but he had an relapse and then his heart started to act up and he collapsed at home and his Uncle and Aunt took him right back to the hospital which felt more familiar than his home with his family did. He shrugged it off and laid down in his bed after sending a quick text to a close friend he had in the hospital.

Just then his attention was taken away from his phone as he saw someone being rushed into the hospital. Wally sat up quickly and watched. He couldn't really see who it was but the scene grabbed his attention for sure. He only saw all little bit before the current was pulled closed, blocking his view. Wally sighed and hoped that whoever it was, was going to be alright. He jumped back on his phone and his fast working mind forgot about what just happened in the room across from him.

A few moments passed and two patients who have become his friends after all the times he has spent in the hospital.
Wally sat up quickly and let a tiny wince be seen by his friends but they didn't say anything cause they knew that Wally didn't really like to focus on it.

"Hey Kal, Roy how are ya?" asked Wally. Roy quickly walked over and sat down on the bed and shoved Wally's arm.

"What the hell are you doing back in here?'' asked Roy who sent Wally a tiny glare. Wally only shrugged his shoulders and looked over at Kal.

"Yes my friend, I am also wondering why you have return back here so quickly. Are you feeling alright right now?" asked Kaldur.
"Yeah when I heard that you were back I didn't believe it. But here we are seeing your ugly face again'' joked Roy as he snatched the TV remote from Wally's hand and changed the channel. Wally smiled and shook his head.

"Wally?" asked Kaldur and Wally forgot that Kaldur had asked him a question.

"Oh, sorry Kal. Yeah I'm fine right now. Just a bit tired that's all.'' said Wally how leaned back on the hospital bed, but not missing the tiny glance being passed between Roy and Kaldur.
Suddenly A girl walked in and smiled up at Kaldur before glaring angrily at Wally. Roy raised his eye brow and jumped off the bed.

"I'll see ya later man. Come on Kaldur'' said Roy giving Wally a pat on the back and walking over towards Kaldur, "Hey Arty.''

"It's Artemis!" snapped Artemis not shooting the same angered look at Roy who raised his hands up to show here that he was no threat and then shot Wally an apologetic look. Artemis waited for the boys to leave before looking back at Wally.

"Hey, what's up?" said Wally.
"What's up? What's up?!?" said Artemis and Wally's green eyes widen slightly, Artemis had some anger issues. "Oh, umm...let me see. You. Back here...in the hospital!"

"Yeah, about that. See...'' began Wally but Artemis cut him off.
"No, shut up. You promised that you were going to take care of yourself. It hasn't even been a freaking week baywatch! Your my best friend and I thought you were gonna make it out of here for once.'' she shouted.

"Hey! Don't yell at me, what about yourself? Your back here too.'' said Wally but then stopped himself from going on.
Artemis had epilepsy, which at times forced her to come back into the hospital which she didn't like at all. She wanted everyone to see her as this strong, independent person but she couldn't always be strong and it wasn't her fault.
Wally watched her sigh and run her hand through her long hair. Wally then patted the bed, telling her to sit down, which after a moment of standing there she did.

"What happened?" asked Wally.
"I was at the pool with Zatanna'' said Artemis and Wally smiled widely only to get slapped in the back of the head. "Knock it off!"

"I didn't say anything!" said Wally.

"You didn't have too,'' said Artemis who then shook her head and smiled.
Zatanna was Artemis' girlfriend and they had been having a few problems the last time with their relationship. It was mainly Artemis' fault dealing with her medical problems and her insercrietis that came with it, plus her dad. But Zatanna was always there for her, just waiting for Artemis to reach back out towards her for help, support and love. Wally loved seeing them together, Zatanna was a smart and kind girl, someone who saw Artemis for who she was and accepted her no matter what. Plus she made Artemis smile, which was awesome in Wally's book, that was what he wanted for his best friend, to be happy.

Artemis explained who they were at the pool, just relaxing when all of a sudden a seizure came on and she was rushed to the hospital. Wally felt bad for her, he knew how she hated having a seizure, but really hated in when it was in public.
Just after explaining her phone went off and she sighed.

"It's Megan, she is looking for me.'' says Artemis who stands up and gives Wally a quick hug then a punch in the shoulder. "I gotta go, but don't think for one second that this is all okay. Just...quite making me worry man, it's not good for my health'' she said with a little chuckle. Wally nodded his head and watch her head for the door but stops and looks back at him.

"Did you hear about the new arrival?" she asks. Wally shakes his head 'No' and has a look of interest in his eyes.
"Some rich kid, or well now rich kid. He was in juvie or something and was abused. Any who, Megan says he's cute, around our age but got a lot of issues. So stay away Bay watch! We don't need you following in love with some bad broken kid here, alright. Just...take care of yourself and if you collapse again I swear, I'm not sneaking you any ice cream anymore!" said Artemis. Wally pouted and nodded his head. He loved ice cream, hell, he loved all kinds of food and Artemis knew it too, or she wouldn't be his best friend.
"Get some rest idiot'' she said and with that she left him alone.

Wally laid back and let his mind wonder.
"What if the kid he saw being brought in earlier was the same one Artemis was talking about?
And Megan said he was cute, how cute I wonder." thought Wally, when just then an idea came into his mind, he was going to find out, even though his doctors gave him strict orders to not leave the bed, they were afraid that he was going to fall again, but Wally didn't think about it and got put, just feeling some discomfort in his chest.

He ignored the pain he was in and rushed across the hall and slowly made his way into the room.
Inside the room was a young boy, probably no older than 12 laid in the bed asleep. He had a breathing mask on his face. Wally took a step closer and looked down at the boy, he was very pale with raven dark hair and a few bruises on his skin. Wally looked down and saw bandages wrapped around his wrists, a few blood spots here and there on then. Seeing that the boy wasn't waking up Wally moved over towards his clip board with all his information on it.

As he began to read it, only getting a few details of info before a nurse walked into the room.

"Wally?!? What are you doing in here?" said the nurse, "And what are you doing with that?!" she said as she snatched the clip board from Wally's hands.
"Umm...I got lost.'' said Wally and smiled at the nurse. He was glad that it was one of the more friendly nurses who has been his nurse a few times.

"Yeah I bet. Now lets get you back in bed mister'' she said and grabbed his arm, dragging him out of the room, leaving the sleeping boy all alone.

"Who is he?" asked Wally.
"Weren't you the one just reading his clip board?" said the nurse pulling Wally into his room.
"Yeah, but I didn't get to read much of it now did I'' said Wally with a smirk on his face. "Come on! I'm bored in here and he's....he's cute. I was just wondering.''

"Wally dear, you do know that curiosity killed the cat right?" the nurse said after looking over his chart and vitals before handing him a cup of water to drink.
"Come on, please! Something!'' begged Wally with puppy eyes. The nursed sighed, slightly giving into Wally's begging and he knew it too and smiled slightly up at her.

"He is the son of Bruce Wayne. That's all I'm giving you! You have the internet, look him up if you wish. Now laid back and relax. Your doctor will be in shortly to check up on you, especially when he finds out that you have been out of bed mister'' said the nurse who turned to leave.
"Ah man'' said Wally who crossed his arms over his chest. He waited for the nurse to leave before pulling out his phone.

He was glad that he has been to this hospital so many times, he knew the wifi and the wifi password, totally benefits for being stuck here all the time.

Wally quickly typed on his phone.
Bruce Wayne.

He began reading up on the guy, he was super rich. Then he found a new article, saying something about an orphan being taken in.
Then a name popped up, with a picture.
Richard Grayson.

Wally smiled at the picture, the boy in the picture had dazzling blue eyes. He was gorgeous thought Wally who continued to read up on the kid, his heart growing sadder and sadder the more he read about Richard.
He read about his parents deaths, him being sent to juvie because the orphanage was too full, him being abused then finally being taken into a loving home. He read more about his history, discovered that Richard had depression and panic attacks. There was actually a video posted from his school, he was getting beaten up and was having a panic attack. All the kids laughed at him and called him horrible things.
Then Wally read about the latest thing on Richard Grayson, something that was just posted online 3 hours ago, his attempted suicide.

Wally sighed and glanced quickly across the hall and looked into Richard's hospital room. He could see that he was still asleep in the bed and hadn't moved yet.

Wally didn't know, but there was something about Richard that kept drawing him towards him. He wanted, no he needed to get to know him, but he didn't know why.
