Feeling down.

A/n: Tim is struggling with his depression.
A Tim and big brother Dick shot, fluff.

Everything had been going alright in Tim's life. It wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't terrible either.
But today, Tim was feeling more down, more depressed than he has in awhile. He wish he could explain why he was feeling down, feeling this way but he couldn't. He couldn't understand it himself, all he knew was that he was depressed and and tired.

Maybe he was just tired from a lack of sleep, his job as Red Robin can and does keep him up all hours of the night, but deep down Tim knew it wasn't that. His depression was back and as strong as ever.
It never truly went away but over the past few months, it had gotten better. He seemed more lighter, more happy and didn't have to fake a smile as much now.

So what did Tim do? He stayed in bed and slept. He slept a full day away. He didn't call in sick at school, he didn't patrol or check up with the Teen Titans and he shut his phone off and drifted off.
One day in bed soon turned to 3. He eventually called Alfred to tell him that he was sick and he couldn't patrol with Bruce. He didn't want his family to worry, but this thoughts told him that they already didn't worry about him, that no one cared about him. He was nothing, he didn't matter at all.

So Tim pulled the covers over his head and hid out within his bed in his apartment.

Finally a full week went by and the only times he truly got out of be was to go to the bathroom, grab a snack or two and take a shower, other than that he remained in his warm bed.
Hr felt stuck, like he couldn't get out of bed even if he wanted to. Tim felt like there was no point in getting out, he didn't matter at all.

His phone one evening kept on ringing, driving him nuts. He was so tempted to throw it at the wall. He glanced at it, so many messages from Dick. Tim sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He wanted to call Dick, to tell him the truth, tell him how he was truly feeling. He knew that Dick would be there in a second for him. Dick was kind like that, always helping others. Dick has helped Tim on multiple occasions with his depression but this time, Tim felt like if he reached out to his big brother for help, that he would only be bothering him and that wasn't what he wanted. So he shut his phone off and laid in bed awake.

He laid there awake for so long, trapped in his mind that he didn't notice that day turned into night that night now became 3 A.M.

His bedroom window that was always unlocked began to slid open. Tim moved slightly to see a tall, thin figure enter his room. He slowly reached over on his night stand for a bird-a-rang but stopped when the lights flew on, blinding him in the process.

"Hey Timbo!" Shouted a very loud and energized person. He squinted his eyes to see who it was but he already knew who it was. There was only one person who called him Timbo, and that was his big bro Dick.

Dick walked over towards Tim and sat down on the bed beside him, half squashing Tim's legs under him. Dick looked over at his baby brother then laid on top of him until Tim spoke up and pushed Dick off of him.
Dick chuckled then reached into the small grocery bag he had and pulled out two small pints of ice cream. He held one out for Tim and waited for him to take it. Tim rolled his eyes and took the cold container from Dick.

Tim then sighed and pushed himself into a sitting position as Dick crawled over and sat beside him. Dick then tossed him a spoon and began to eat his ice cream.
The entire time they sat there in silence as they ate. Dick kept glancing over at Tim but didn't say anything, waiting for Tim to say something first.

"Thanks Dick" Tim whispered and glanced over at his bog brother. Dick smiled and reached over, digging his spoon into Tim's ice cream then shoving it into his mouth. Tim sent a small batglare at him, causing Dick to laugh.

"No problem, what are brothers for" said Dick. Tim nodded his head then slowly moved closer towards him, laying his head on Dick's shoulder.

They continued to eat I'm silence. Then they laid down and watched a movie before they both fell asleep.
Dick  wouldn't leave Tim's side until he could tell that his baby brother was alright.
No words had to be said, they both understood each other. Dick knew that Tim wanted someone to be there with him, to hold him and give him hugs and those were Dick's speciality.

Tim slowly began to feel better, he was still being weighted down by his depression but having Dick around made a lot of things better.
