Epilogue
The funeral was a small, quiet ceremony.
The only people that showed up were Alana's aunt, Jacob, her mom, who was luckily able to come from the mental hospital, and Cori, who traveled back from Ohio to come to her best friend's funeral.
Alana's bluish, lifeless body lied in the black and red casket. Everyone gathered around and wept the loss of the truly misunderstood girl; misunderstood to everyone except Jacob.
Jacob felt truly ashamed of himself. How could he let himself wander away from his true love?
Out of shame, he called quits on his and Bekah's "relationship". The only person he had ever truly loved with his whole heart was Alana. At times he may have been unsure, but his heart reassured him that she was his one and only soulmate.
When it was time to say their final words, he walked over to her casket and went down in knees. He leaned over and pressed one final kiss to her plump cheek, and snuck his tongue to the inside of her ear. Jacob knew that if she was alive to feel that, she would love it.
"Um, sir, you can't do that."
Why did I let myself do that?
Embarrassed, he stepped away and let Cori, her mom, and her aunt say their last goodbyes.
They finally lowered her body into the ground, and wrapped up the funeral. He didn't bother to hug anyone. He wasn't up for affection with anyone; except Alana.
But that can't happen, she's dead.
He'll never forgive himself.

8 years later
"Thank you everyone for coming to my show tonight, see you next time!" Jacob chirped into the microphone. Hundreds of people screamed and waved their hands. The amount of positive energy in the room filled him with elation. He bowed and exited the stage.
"Great show tonight," Cameron clapped his hands and gave him a "bro hug".
"Thanks man! The audience was so wild," he exhaled and wiped the sweat off his forehead.
"We should hang out or something, dude!" Cameron suggested.
"Nah, man. I gotta do something, let's chill tomorrow though." Cameron understood and parted their ways.
Jacob drove to the Willow Creek Cemetery and parked his car across the street. He opened his trunk and grabbed the roses and a little note, and made his way to Alana's grave. Once he found it, he knelt down he placed the roses in front of the gravestone.
"Alana, a day doesn't go by without me thinking of you," he said, as a tear began to run down his cheek, "I blame myself every single day, but..."
The lump in his throat had and grown so large, he couldn't continue to speak. The tears were coming town like a waterfall, and they wouldn't stop flowing any time soon. Rain drops began to fall from the sky, slowly at first, but increasing in speed in a matter of seconds.
"I hope I see you again one day," he sighed, "You won't have to forgive me or anything; I don't expect you to." He looked down at his black and white, now covered in mud, Adidas shoes.
He looked around at the other tombstones in the cemetery, and started to question religion. Will he ever see Alana again? If so, will it be in heaven, hell, or in some other afterlife place?Do people in different cemeteries go to different places after death? Does everyone go to heaven? Do people even go anywhere after they die? Millions of questions floated through his brain, and they didn't stop until his phone beeped. It was a text message from his fiancée.
"hey love, how was the show? are you on your way home yet?"
he read the message and quickly put his phone in his pocket.
"I brought something else for you, it's an old note I wrote you when we first met." He placed it inside the plastic that held the roses, so it wouldn't get wet.
"I'll come back in a couple days," he wiped his eyes once more, "I love and miss you so much, Alana." He sat up and made his way back to the car.
It was time to go back home to the woman who had come the closest to him ever loving since Alana. He has learned not to take things for granted,
so he will never leave Anna.
"Hey there beautiful, never give up. I'm always here if you need anything. Give me a text, Here's my number babe, (434) ***-**** Love you <3."
So this marks the official end of Basorexia. I tried to make this chapter equally as cringe as the rest of the book.
