Diana

      Nathan's heart stopped as the basketball flew through the air and everything seemed to be in slow motion. The buzzer went off right as the ball went through the hoop and the whole room roared with cheers. They had won, they were state champions. "Holy shit." Nathan muttered under his breath as a huge grin appeared on his face and his teammates ran up to him. As he celebrated with his teammates, he felt a tap on his shoulder and he turned around to see Mr. O'Brien, the coach from Miami Hear, smiling at him and holding out his hand.
"Welcome to the team, Walker." He said and Nat stared at him in shock as he slowly shook hands with Mr. O'Brien.
"Thank you so much, Coach! You won't regret this, I promise!" He exclaimed and Mr. O'Brien chuckled as he nodded his head.
"I'll be in touch with you soon about when you can start practicing with the team and once you get closer to turning nineteen we'll start pulling up a contract and work on a starting salary." He said and Nathan quickly nodded his head.
"Nathan!" Emma, Savannah's best friend, exclaimed as she ran over to him. Nat turned around and smiled at her.
  "Hey Em, have you talked-"
  "Nat, Savannah just had Diana." She said and Nat stared at her confused.
  "Wait, what? She's not due for another two weeks?" He said slowly and Emma grabbed his elbow.
   "Come on, Nat! Savannah needs you and don't you want to meet your daughter?" Emma asked as she started to pull him away.
  "Of course, Emma!" He said defensively and then turned to look at Coach O'Brien. "See you later, Coach."
  "Congratulations on your daughter, Walker. Can't wait to meet her." He said and then turned to leave as Nat and Emma ran out of the gym.

Catherine sat in the chair next to Savannah who was sleeping in her hospital bed and Catherine rocked Diana back and forth slowly in her arms. Nathan suddenly bursted into the room looking around frantically but he froze once his eyes landed on the baby in Catherine's arms. "Is that...?" He trailed off softly and Catherine smiled as she nodded her head.
  "You want to hold your daughter?" She asked and Nat stood there for a few seconds in shock but shook himself out of it and approached them slowly.
  "She's so tiny." He muttered and Catherine giggled as she nodded her head and placed Diana in his arms gently.
  "Congratulations, Nathan." She said softly and Nathan stared down at his daughter and he fell in love with her instantly. She had bluish green eyes like his own and it made him realize that she was a part of him, she was really real.
  "My little princess." He said softly and he leaned down to kiss Diana's head gently.
Savannah stared at Nathan holding their daughter and it made her heart swell with love and happiness. She was a Mommy now and she was going to be a wife soon. Savannah knew she couldn't be any happier than she was in that moment and she was incredibly thankful.
