Yet More Sketches! + digital art (OS, OCs, WG, misc)

Welcome back to the Basil Dumps Her Sketches Here Show! In this episode, we'll be presenting a bunch of doodles in whatever order I find them in my camera roll.

Heyy, and guess who finally has some digital art to post?

Agent Otis from Odd Squad! I didn't start out intending to draw Otis, but I drew a head and it ended up looking a little like him, so I went all the way with it. I might clean it up and add his lapel pins later.

This may or may not continue looking terrible by the time I finish it, but here's Ria from my Adventura world! I sort of need to redraw her completely (and probably look up some actual outfits for her), but it's practice. She's a quiet sweetheart who gets into lonely poetic moods sometimes. She sort of overdramatizes it though. She actually has a wonderful family compared to most of the characters, despite basically living underground.

Update: I started a way better one

I actually really like how the lineart is looking for this one... but I'm not exactly sure how to color it when I get to that point? Do I start with the most predominant flat colors and work my way into the shadow/lighting layers? Go from darkest flat colors to lightest? Vice versa? Should I change the color of the lines? Does it depend on the tone I want to give scene? I'd like to go for a dark, blackish-blue-with-bright-cerulean-lighting, city-street-at-night type of tone, but I'm not quite sure how to do it.

If any digital artists out there know a good way to layer colors, please let me know!

An eye I did using a tutorial! Not sure why I chose red; it's probably Dr. Two-Brains or something.

"What if it's something nice, like a cuddly monster? Do those exist? I'm talking too much..."

(that one is SO OLD SORRY GUYS)

A horse is a horse, of course, of course, like this terrible doodle from forever ago

I tried making a rough sketch of my zebrataur OC, Zanya, and if you ignore the fact that I don't know what proportions are and that's not at all what a juvenile zebra's body looks like, it doesn't look too bad!

Old sketch of Becky from WordGirl!

Panda power!

Does anyone remember Mandy, James, and Blackie from the Animal Ark books? I used to love those. (Like, to the point where I read almost all of them. I think there were over 200 of them? How did the guy write so much??) I had a nostalgia moment a ways back and tried doodling what I remembered they looked like. Next time, I will be using a reference, as well as inputting some actual effort. XD

"I dunno... Are you sure about this?"

In which Becky travels back in time to just hang out with Steven. And maybe help him get over a fear of heights, because hey, being up high is almost as fun as flying.

Sorry, they're just cute XD

At first I felt really bad that I forgot Martin's other arm, but then I remembered that it's not too hard to do.

Old doodle of Bob, at 2-early AM

Wolfdog? Husky? Something? I'm not sure, but I'm calling him Margin just because

Ignore this terrible atrocity, THESE THREE ARE SO HARD TO DRAW LIKE WHAT IN THE WORLD

And here we have an attempt at a deer! Apparently, it's a rare species that looks sort of like it has the head of a chihuahua crossed with a cat on a horse's body. Next time, I think I'll use a reference. XD

These are all from eons ago because I haven't drawn anything in ages and totally need to change that.
