A NEW SHOW WITH THE OLD ANIMATION STYLE

(I'm so glad they're bringing back the old style?? Because nothing against VeggieTales in the House, but honestly, that art style... kind of weirded me out. I think it's mostly the colored irises. It felt like it took a lot of freedom away from the original crew, too—I mean changing designs is one thing but they got rid of Mr. Nezzer too and that's just weird)

(Those guys KEPT their RIGHTS TO THE ORIGINAL STYLE I am so proud of them)

VeggieTales was my childhood, guys. I loved the characters, and the humor, and the stories. I loved the voices and the songs. I loved how they taught Biblical messages and wholesome values without being preachy, so it could appeal to everyone. I loved the redoes of classic stories and the Bible story retellings. I loved the clever references to Abbott and Castello and the blatant use of the Tardis and mention of Dr. Who. I loved one of the magi in the nativity story confusing 'magi' with 'Jedi'. The writing is always hilarious and really really good.

I'd say I'm probably more excited than most of the people in the actual target audience, but I am in the actual target audience and that's one of my favorite things about it. It's so clever that it's very all-ages.
