Hey guys! Today I would like to talk to you about something I found very interesting. Ferrets riding roombas.

And now that you've had your daily dosage of cute animals on robotic vacuum cleaners, let's talk about a little something called GRAVITY RISES!

(Disclaimer: ALL ART WAS MADE BY THE AMAZINGLY TALENTED NELAUK/SOROPHORA UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE!)

First of all, it's an AU for the show Gravity Falls. (Which I will discuss later, because that's a whole other can of gummy worms.) But, Gravity Rises is an AU that swaps personalities and roles for each pair of corresponding characters—so when Dipper and Mabel swap roles (GOOFY DIPPER AND SERIOUS MABEL!), so do Wendy and Robbie (Robbie's lots of fun and Wendy's a selfish grouch), Grunkle Stan and Grunkle Ford (Ford runs the Mystery Shack while Stan is the one missing), Pacifica and Gideon (Gideon is the serious Northwest who has his own agenda while Pacifica runs a psychic show and is very creepy when she wants to be...), Soos and Melody (Melody works at the mystery shack), etc.

I haven't watched much of Gravity Falls, nor am I really into it, especially with all the monster/ghost/demon content in the show. But the characters are really cute! And I accidentally stayed up until very late reading BrightnessWings19's Gravity Rises series, so I'm in a little bit of an excited fandom mood now? Whoops. XD

Also... the characters in this AU are kind of really super awesome. I can't pick a favorite, so here's the main characters!

For starters, here's Mabel and Dipper, who've swapped roles/personalities.

(I love how Mabel has a pine tree shirt instead of a hat! Such cool character redesign, ahhh. I just really love it when AUs have great design. XD)

Nroom nroom, there they go!

Dipper, don't wear shorts in the middle of winter. And maybe some boots would be good, Mr. I-Packed-As-Many-Shoes-As-I-Did-Clothes.

They hang out with the gang at the Mystery Museum (Ford is not the type to literally name his business a 'Shack'):

Aaand they also fight monsters! Oftentimes it's Mabel, getting herself into these situations by being curious. Or lonely. Or upset. Don't go in the woods when you're lonely or upset. (Who am I kidding? DO IT FOR PLOT PROGRESSION!)

Of course, you can't have a good series without a few mysterious, overly-entitled, self-important, secretly sad villains, right?

Even if one is psychotic and the other is kinda a snob *cough* but also KINDA COOL *cough*

And is also *cough* part of the BEST SHIP EVER TO SAIL IN THE HISTORY OF AUS *cough*

Anyhow, Mabel's adorable and awkward most of the time, and she loves the paranormal.

(For the record, ghosts + demon summoning + creepy magic monsters are aLL VERY BAD THINGS MABEL, DON'T GET MIXED UP IN THoSe)

But ah, Gideon Northwest.

One of those snarky characters that it's incredibly easy to really, really like without any legitimately good reason for it. Well, other than that he's awesome and annoyed and sarcastic, but I don't know if that technically counts as a 'good reason'. XD

Do you know how frustrating it is shipping two characters who are quiet and awkward and literally refuse to talk to each other half the time??? Who started out disliking each other and figure they have to continue doing that but whoops now they think the other's cute??? Do you kNoW how FrUsTrAtIng it iS???

Pacifica and Gideon's designs are actually pretty cool! Paz's is over-the-top showy, definitely, but she's kinda the embodiment of over-the-top showy. XD

And Mr. Cape there tries to look flashy, too. Triiieeeessss. I would guess he's never seen The Incredibles? Or else he did, and he started wearing a cape just to spite that scene. I can picture it either way. XD

And last but not least, DIPPER! He has canon!Mabel's personality in this AU, so he's really talkative and silly. He has the best time doing everything and tries to always be a good brother to Mabel and it's SO CUTE

So, anyway, I think I have a new favorite AU. XD

I might post a oneshot for it soon! Or more than one. Quite possibly more than one. And there may or may not be an unnecessary amount of Mabel and Gideon fluff. (But don't worry, I'm trying to write it well! *salutes with hat*)
