Just in case you needed some feels... (WG)

WordGirl was actually a really feelsy show?

*throws tissues like confetti*

(Entropy Increasing by VoiceActressKurutta! I first saw this as a blurry thumbnail when she posted it years ago. Not sure what it was, I clicked on it to find out. The top third of the picture loaded. My eyes widened. A little bit more loaded. I put my hand over my mouth. The whole picture loaded and I almost yELLED)

(I was a big WordGirl fan, okay)

(Nothing like some good, heart-wrenching angst for your favorite character, right?)

(c. wordgirlchronicles... and I never really thought about that implication before?? 'Bruh' is right? Yikes)

(art by superstarwordgirl! THIS IS BASICALLY THEM THOUGH, poor girl)

(Art by wordgirlchronicles!)

The really sad part is that this is basically canon

someone hug this poor child and tell her parents to quit being literal Northwests?? and maybe stop mind-controlling her? She's trying so hard

(credit to whyldkratts! AHH)

(art by silentyeller, about the series finale! DOUBLE AHH, SOMEONE HUG HER)

BrainGirl AU by wordgirlchronicles! In which WordGirl volunteers to be the test subject for the experiment with Squeaky. And Dr. Boxleitner accidentally turns a brave-hearted little superhero into a cheese-obsessed, superpowered maniac. This is bad for the city's cheese supply, awful for WordGirl, and pretty dang hard for him too

He builds ray guns to try to stop her. But sometimes, in the middle of their battles, she'll get headaches.

Bad ones. He still gets so worried about her. TRIPLE AND QUADRUPLE AHH

And since we're already on the subject of totally happy things, have a friendly reminder that at one time, Violet had a brother and dad:

additional definitely happy things:

-Remember the Coach who taught Villain School? That wasn't his apartment that he held the school at. That was the Whammer's greasy, messy apartment. The Coach is seen trying to sell his motivational courses out of the trunk of his vehicle. The backseat is packed full with clothes and other possessions. The entire thing is run-down and worn out-looking. He freaked out when a bowling ball hit the hood. I don't know but I'm pretty sure he lives in his car

-In the flashback in The Masked Bagger, we see a younger Hal Hardbargain. Did he have his digital eye and robotic arm back then? Nope. Just an eyepatch and an empty sleeve.

-In Bampy Battles Bots, a younger Bampy defeats a giant robot that is rampaging through downtown. On the front of that robot is a blurry picture—or a screen, perhaps—showing the head and shoulders of a boy. If you do the math, guess whose father would have likely been a kid at the time?

-let's not forget the mouse brain making Two-Brains squeak and convulse and keel over multiple times, before he gradually gets frantic and has a crazed look in his eyes, unable to think of anything else but finding cheese to stop the pain. Season 1 had some angst

-Miss Power's eyes glowing red as she gets ready to laser-vision Two-Brains through the head

-literally, she holds the guy up by the collar and stares at his face for several seconds as her pupils start shining red

-moments before this, she used laser vision to blast several things to smoking, melted pulps

-bro

-WordGirl didn't even know about it and just accidentally distracted Miss Power when she showed up? Yikes

-The small, sad fact that Becky's biological parents evidently never came to look for her

-Leslie doesn't get paid, as she doesn't even mention until Season 7

-Invisi-Bill's whole character dilemma, honestly

-the poor guy wants nothing more than to be noticed and praised and paid attention to. He's a hyperactive extrovert. But what's his superpower? Turning invisible

-There's a photo in the background of WordGirl's spaceship that shows Huggy getting his picture taken with a man with a red/gold outfit whose hair and skin are the same color as WordGirl's. I think Huggy knew her parents.

-(there's a headcanon in the fandom that maybe Becky's explanation of her crawling onto Huggy's ship when she was a baby and him not noticing until she woke up from a nap was just what Huggy told her happened... not what she remembered. It isn't entirely true.)

So, yeah! Just in case you needed some angst or anything. XD That aside, here's one of my favorite happy WordGirl pictures:

Both. Both is good.
