Shivering from the cold blowing wind,
It whistles swift melodies into my ears.
These melodies are smoothly skinned.
They somehow help loosen up my fears.

Sitting quietly on the terrazzo near the old garden shed,
I listened to frogs sing hymns of their own.
"This is a beautiful night", I almost whispered.
I like where I am, it felt like this was my zone.

Above my head was a pretty dark sky,
Embedded into it was a beautiful full moon.
This moon kept looking me in the eye,
As if telling me everything's going to be alright soon.

The dark sky made frightening sounds.
I stood to my feet to get back into the house.
Not longer after I did, pounds of rain hit the grounds.
Next thing I realized, I was totally soaked right from my blouse.

I stood there, allowing the rain to take over me.
Gracefully accepting the rain, I danced my way through it.
I fell onto the wet terrazzo with my knees.
This was an amazing night, I had to truthfully admit.
