threat.
the following day after wooyoung's confession and san being his boyfriend, he couldn't be any
happier.
that was until he remembered that
he still had a bunch of people to be honest to, before showing san to
the world.
he called jihae and yunho, informing them that he made up his mind of telling the group, and they happily supported him.
he also told him about how he has a boyfriend now, which made both squeal. they couldn't wait to tease san.
and that leads them today. it was lunch and by some miracle, all their friends were there.
"my classes were cut early."
"i didn't have classes at all."
"my professor was sick."
these were the reasons they gave and they all made sense. wooyoung suddenly grew nervous because obviously didn't plan on telling them all at once.
they sat on their usual table and
had a little chat, mostly dahyun complaining about the previous
class she had.
"i swear, mrs. jung is the worst. it would have been better if she actually made us understand the topic." the purple haired exclaimed.
the rest laughed at her frown.
"oh, come on. a pop quiz can't be that bad." yugyeom comforted.
"it wasn't a pop quiz. it was, as she said it, a spontaneous performance." she said in a sarcastically happy tone.
she ranted, "worst part is, she even included the seniors, sophomores and freshmen in our evaluation. like, really? can't you grade us separately?"
"that's tough, dahyun." lisa sympathized.
soyeon only laughed at her closest friend. "did you pull it off, though?"
"of course." dahyun flipped her hair. "but there was this guy who was really good."
"ooh, who is it? maybe you can finally get over sana." eunwoo wiggled his eyebrows, earning him a quick hit on his shoulder.
"har-har, really funny eunwoo."
minatozaki sana was dahyun's ex girlfriend who was a year older than the seniors now. she returned to japan shortly after she graduated which led them to problems due to the distance.
that just led to awkwardness for the sophomores. they didn't really have a clue how the group reacted when she revealed she was bi sexual since they weren't around then.
jungkook suddenly noticed something and just had to point it out. "why are the three of you so quiet?"
the three looked at each other.
"now that you mention it, yeah. woo, you haven't said a word since we came here." lisa agreed. "you're usually the one screaming your
lungs out."
the silver haired swallowed thickly. "uh.."
the rest were quick to see that something was wrong.
wooyoung was stuttering, yunho's ears were turning red and jihae refused to make eye contact with any of them.
"what is it?" jungkook asked curiously. "you look you killed someone."
nobody still spoke up which actually worried the rest. "don't tell me you actually-"
"i have a boyfriend." wooyoung told them as he didn't know what else to say.
the culinary major bit his lower lip, half expecting them to make fun of him.
it went silent for a couple of seconds until lisa exclaimed, "congrats, woo!"
"yeah, i thought i'd never get to see the day." yugyeom wiped a fake tear.
"oh, my god! why didn't you tell us sooner?" soyeon scooted closer to them.
wooyoung was shocked at the reaction, but nevertheless, felt relieved. "we actually just got together yesterday." he smiled at the memory.
"wait, who is it? i've never seen you hangout with other boys other than us." eunwoo wondered.
"is it that yeonjun guy?" jungkook said all so knowingly, thinking he's right.
wooyoung looked at jihae who gave him an apologetic smile. he shook his head and denied the athletics major's claim. "he's a classmate of mine."
"that's great! i can't believe this. our wooyoung is finally growing up." dahyun cooed and ruffled his hair.
they always treated him like this since he was technically the youngest.
"what's his name?" lisa excitedly questioned.
"choi san. there he is." wooyoung pointed at a boy who just got in the cafeteria, scurrying off to his friends.
"why didn't he atleast say hi to you?" eunwoo tilted his head in confusion.
"i kinda told him to keep it a secret until i had the guts to tell you guys." the culinary sophomore rubbed the back of his neck.
"well, you're free now. go and tell this godforsaken world!" yugyeom yelled, causing heads to turn to their spot.
they giggled and congratulated wooyoung again.
however, there were two people on the table were also hiding their relationship.
jungkook looked at lisa. they already talked about telling their friends but the female senior somehow was still anxious about it.
they made a mental agreement to
tell them and it seemed like a perfect time now.
the female dancer cleared her throat. "guys. well, since we're talking about relationships, i figured-"
"you and jungkook are dating. yeah, we know." yugyeom snickered.
the couple widened their eyes a bit and looked around the table. not a single one was surprised.
"wooyoung, yunho, you guys knew?" jungkook furrowed his eyebrows at them.
"it was jihae!" both boys simultaneously answered.
"dahyun?" lisa questioned.
the mentioned girl sheepishly scratched her head. "i mean soyeon's kinda talkative."
the couple faced their fellow seniors. "how did the two of you-"
"please, we've been with you since freshman days." eunwoo started. "and really? couple rings?"
the two looked down. "well, there's that."
the entire group laughed, and told them they can do whatever they wanted as a couple, and begged them not to break up.
lunch was soon over and jihae walked to her locker to grab some books.
upon opening her locker, a note
fell. she figured it was one of those confessions since she gets the quite
often.
still, she was kind enough not to throw them away and actually read them.
she opened the letter but it didn't say a confession.
hi, jihae! can we meet after school in the gym?
- park seonghwa
of course, jihae wasn't dumb. she knows seonghwa could have just texted her if he wanted to meet up.
however, her detective brain suddenly activated. she wanted to know who and why this person knew seonghwa.
it could be a sick joke or someone luring her in danger, but she didn't think about that when her head was set to finding out the culprit.
-
finally, classes were dismissed.
"hey, ji. where are you going?" soyeon asked since they were going home together.
"sorry, soyeon. something came up. can you go alone? tell kookie, too." she informed apologetically.
her sister only nodded.
jihae's face turned serious once she walked her way to the school gym. she opened the doors and saw a figure who was obviously not the boy who he claimed he was.
"i didn't think you'd fall for that, jihae." the boy chuckled.
the sophomore rolled her eyes. "i didn't. i just wanted to know who was dumb enough to use that old trick. and looks like you perfectly fit the description, bang chan."
chan tched. "you sure have an awful mouth for a pretty girl."
"you sure are awful."
the senior chuckled at how sassy she was responding. "so, that seonghwa guy really knows you well."
jihae simply glared at the older. "what do you want?"
"i want soyeon to date me." he shamelessly said.
"in your fucking fantasies." the girl spat without an ounce of respect.
"ah, i knew you'd say that." he sighed dramatically. "that's why i have this."
he pulled out his phone and swiped a couple times. he clicked on a photo and showed her the screen with a smirk.
jihae's eyes could only widen and her thoughts suddenly became jumbled.
"awe, you look shocked, doll." he cooed which made the girl even more disgusted.
"where did you get that?" she tried to stay unbothered but it was very hard at the moment.
"had a date and saw you there." he slyly grinned. "who knew that boring MAYHEM concert could offer something good."
the girl started cursing in her head. what are the odds of him being there as well.
"let me say it again." he cleared his throat in a mocking manner. "let soyeon date me or this will be shown to jaehyun."
jihae tensed up at the name.
"and we both know what he's gonna do once he sees this." chan continued. "you don't want another pretty face to get beat up again, do you?"
throughout his 'speech', he has been smiling. it just made the sophomore angrier. "fuck you."
chan laughed upon hearing her curse. "how 'bout setting me up with your lovely sister?"
"you actually think threatening me with that will help you with soyeon?" jihae rhetorically questioned.
the boy hummed. "i mean, i could post it for fun." he menacingly smiled once again.
"do your worst, you asshole." the girl challenged and walked out of the said venue.
what did chan think? that she would sell out her sister to him because of a picture? jeon jihae isn't that low.
"jihae!" someone put a hand on her shoulder, making her flinch.
"woah, did i scare you?" she turned to the voice and came face to face with a familiar redhead.
"mingi, hi. i'm sorry, i just- i was thinking." she frantically said, starting to worry about a certain junior.
"it looks serious." the tall male studied her. "you wanna talk about it?"
"i think i'm just a bit tired." she lied to reassure him.
although mingi was still suspicious, he didn't pry into it any longer. "you want me to drive you home?"
"you have a car?"
"just got a new one." he proudly took the keys out of his pockets and twirled it on his pointer, almost making them fall.
jihae giggled at the clumsiness. "but do you have a license?"
"of course!"
"okay, okay. let's go." she smiled and linked arms with him. "just promise not to kill us both."
"well..." he looked away jokingly and jihae immediately hit his right shoulder.
"ow! i'm kidding." mingi laughed.
the two went to the car, still had that fresh scent in it, and drove to their homes. even though there were rough bumps, they made it home safely.
