planning.
"woo, please come with me." she pleaded. "i really can't handle this."
it was currently just after lunch and this girl was about to go to their study meeting. with choi yeonjun who supposedly likes her or her best friend.
the silver haired boy rolled his eyes. "no can do, ji. i promised someone i'd hangout with them today."
jihae exhaled. "yunho? how about you?" she did her best to put on puppy eyes which sadly didn't work this time.
yunho scratched his head. "mingi just invited us to play some games at his house. the rest of the boys will be there, too."
the girl sighed again. "i can't believe you replaced me this easily."
"i mean, yeosang is a pretty fun dude." yunho joked, earning a glare from the psychology major.
wooyoung scoffed. "don't be dramatic. we were invited and wanted to have fun. it's rude not to accept." he took a sharp breath. "and it'll be awkward with yeonjun around."
"why'd you think i want you to come?" the girl raised her eyebrow at the boy.
"i'd rather hang out with my new friends, thank you very much."
jihae frowned. she really didn't want to interact with yeonjun yet. she wasn't even sure if he likes her or wooyoung, but either way, it was still weird.
"don't be so down, ji! you can catch up with us. we can ask seonghwa to pick you up." yunho wiggled his eyebrows.
"i don't think i can, so don't bother." she said, still pouting.
"we'll drop you off, then. c'mon!"

once they arrived at that certain cafe near university, jihae sighed one more time. she got out of yunho's car, earning quick goodbyes and good lucks from both of them.
she entered the cafe and saw her group mates already talking. she knew she was late. she purposely did it.
she instantly regretted doing so when she saw the only seat available was beside yeonjun.
she internally groaned at herself before approaching them and sitting down which she very hesitantly.
"hey, guys. sorry i'm late." she greeted.
"jihae! we're just glad you made it. anything you'd like?" yuqi asked, telling her she can go order first.
she thanked her and went to the counter. she placed her order to the same part timer she saw when she was with mingi. she smiled and went back to her seat.
"so, we need to learn about different learning styles, right?" mark asked, scrolling through his laptop. "how do you suppose we do that?"
"we can start by dividing the courses each of us can interview." changbin suggested.
jihae nodded. "we can take four courses, and then pick one student each course with different grade levels."
"great! so, should we take turns in picking?" the chinese girl said as they nodded. "jihae, you pick first."
the mentioned girl already had some in mind.
she was planning to pick athletics training so that she could interview jungkook, fashion design for soyeon, computer science or culinary for both her best friends and finally, theatre arts since jongho was the only freshman she was somewhat close with.
"i'll go with athletics training." she said to which yuqi replied to with,"damnit" jokingly and they all laughed.
"well, then. i'll choose science in biology 'cause i get to see eunwoo." she claimed, making changbin gag teasingly.
"i think i'll go with culinary. i have lots of friends there." mark said after thinking.
it's fine. i can still go with-
"i'll take computer science." changbin informed. "it'll be pretty easy since a lot of them are already smart."
jihae let out an inaudible sigh. let's just hope i get soyeon's class.
"i guess i'll take fashion design. hwanwoong hyung's there." yeonjun chuckled.
the girl beside him pouted. "uh, theatre arts?"
"i'll take political science. i almost forgot my best friend's there." yuqi laughed.
"you have friends?" changbin gave a confused look, getting smacked on the head afterwards.
"yes, changbin. as a matter of fact, he's picking me up later so," the chinese girl stuck out her tongue as she rolled her eyes.
the boy, after getting hit, said, "well, psychology's mine."
mark thought for a while before saying, "i'll take business and finance."
"then, i guess i'll go with criminal justice." yeonjun claimed.
this went on for a while. mark and changbin were even arguing about the courses they wanted to interview.
somehow, jihae ended up with athletics training, theatre arts, cinematography, and musical theatre.
she thought about the people she was close with and seonghwa immediately went to her mind. luckily, his course wasn't picked.
she also remembered mingi who was in musical theatre.
she was contented with what she got. not to say she was pretty excited, too.
"so, now that it's settled, we can start planning with the questions and possibly how we should interview them." jihae started and everyone nodded.
yeonjun raised his hand a bit to get other's attention. "we could do a survey."
"surveys can be a bit suspicious. remember that one time chanwoo answered all the questionnaires of his group." yuqi reminded as they looked down.
mark suddenly snapped his fingers, gaining an idea. "we could film them."
changbin sighed. "won't that make them uncomfortable?"
jihae thought for a bit. "i guess we'll just have to make them as comfy as possible." she giggled. "there are other students within the course, too. we'll not force them."
they all nodded again. "great! so, we'll start interviewing them this week?" yuqi clarified.
jihae hummed in approval. "then, we'll meet up again next weekend to start arranging our actual output."
"alright, now for the questions."

it's been three hours of them facing their laptop screens, opening their books, taking down notes and discussing among themselves.
most of the time was quiet, only talking when asking questions or finding information.
they didn't even notice the time. some of them even ordered drinks and food again.
you might be wondering why they're taking so long. it's because there are seven different learning styles. it's up to them to figure out what would suit college students like them more.
of course, it wasn't an actual thesis but still. it was a project they needed to do. it was more of an action research but, you know, they only have two weeks.
those three hours weren't exactly comfortable for jihae and yeonjun. they were both hesitant to talk to each other but for different reasons.
a vibration in her phone suddenly took her attention away from her laptop. it was a message from wooyoung.

jihae rolled her eyes at her phone. well, i guess they'll have to wait.
she put her attention back to the computer screen when changbin suddenly stretched and yawned.
"can't we go home now?" he asked with a whiny manner.
mark scoffed. "we can't do this another time."
the door chimes were suddenly heard, making them turn their head to the entrance.
a tall handsome man went in and waved at someone from their table. "yuqi! are you finished?"
yuqi whipped her hair to the person and grinned. "lucas! you're here early."
"actually, i'm ten minutes late. you said to pick you up at four?" the tanned guy said.
the chinese girl's eyes widened. "it's four already?! damn." she gulped. "uh, guys. i think we can continue another time."
they all look at her dumbfounded.
"why? because your boyfriend's here?" mark teased.
"yeah. never thought you'd catch a great fish, yuqi." changbin joined. "can't say the same for this poor dude. blink if you need help." he asked the newly arrived boy who was confused and did blinked.
"oh, my god. let's help him." mark continued, which made them all giggle except for yuqi.
"you two are assholes." she tutted. "first of all, he's not my boyfriend. second, weren't you paying attention to what i said earlier? i said my best friend is picking me up."
she huffed. "lucas. this is changbin, mark, yeonjun, and of course, jeon jihae."
"hi, i'm lucas." he smiled. "nice meeting you all."
"well, we'll get going, then. bye!" yuqi stood up while lucas was helping her carry her things. they went out the cafe, possibly teasing each other. the group didn't really know what they were saying since the two spoke in chinese.
"does that mean i can go, too?" changbin asked again which made mark sigh.
"i guess that's enough for today. wanna go to a nearby arcade?" he answered and asked.
"i thought you'd never ask." they closed their laptops and kept their things.
"aren't you guys gonna go?" mark questioned the two who were sitting there awkwardly.
"ah, i'm meeting someone here." yeonjun answered first.
"yunho's gonna pick me up." jihae followed.
"alright, then. see you guys at school."
once changbin and mark left, it was obvious that the atmosphere was getting more uncomfortable as time passes. no one wanted to start a conversation.
when are they coming? the girl frantically thought as she tapped her foot repeatedly, getting impatient.
"uh, j-jihae." the blue haired guy beside her spoke which made her tense up.
"y-yeah?"
