ouch.

jungkook might have mentioned jaehyun during diner that may have led to his youngest sister violently stabbing her food.

he also said something about seonghwa, and that obviously made the girl frown evidently.

so, that leads to the present time where now that he verified what happened to jihae, he was ready to kick some ass.

the senior just had to do one more thing.

"jungkook sunbae." a slightly trembling voice approached.

"ah, finally!" jungkook cheered. "don't call me sunbae. hyung will be fine."

"oh, okay, h-hyung." the newly arrived boy uneasily said.

the athletics major sighed but accepted it anyway. "so, seonghwa."

the junior attentively listened despite how nervous he is. at first, he was very doubtful about meeting up with someone, especially with what happened the last time.

however, he completely changed his mind when he heard who called for him. he doesn't know why, but he felt more fear in making jungkook mad than any other 'tough' guy in school.

the place was also slightly public, so he could just run.

"yes?" seonghwa was really anxious since he had a clue why jungkook wanted to see him. he was thinking that it was because of him not returning jihae's feelings, but the actual reason caught him off guard.

"is it true that jaehyun busted up your pretty face? over my sister?" the older male asked with no filter.

seonghwa widened his eyes, gulping thickly. his voice seemed to get stuck in his throat.

"so? does your scared face mean yes?" jungkook tested. "don't lie."

the younger sighed, letting his head down. "yes. did jihae tell you?"

the senior only hummed in denial. "actually, she didn't tell me or anyone, so i had to find out for myself."

seonghwa chewed on his lower lip, feeling even more guilty that the girl had to keep her emotions inside. she was pretty shaken up, as well.

"well, now that it's certain that bastard pulled this type of shit again, lessons will be taught." jungkook exclaimed. he looked at seonghwa again. "meet me at the gym around four. does your class end there?"

unfortunately. "yes."

"okay, then. see you!" the older patted the cinematography major's shoulder twice before putting both hands in his pockets and walking away.

seonghwa blinked, proceeding to stare blankly as he tried to make sure that really happened.

-

and so, seonghwa's last class came to an end. normally, he would feel very relieved but he couldn't stop thinking about meeting up with the jeon jungkook.

after talking to himself in the bathroom to relax, he anxiously walked towards the school gym.

he's been avoiding that area for a while, scared that jaehyun might pounce onto him any moment, but he doesn't know why he chose to listen to jungkook.

getting closer and closer, he could tell that there were multiple people inside. he gulped nervously as he opened the door.

seonghwa eyes doubled its size at the sight.

"park! there you are." the senior who called him there greeted. "check this out."

jungkook pointed at two kneeling boys, namely jeong jaehyun and bang christopher chan, surrounded by a crowd of people.

the crowd consisted of popular students who are also friends with the athletics major.

"seonghwa!" a girl's voice called. "glad you could make it! i'm dahyun, by the way."

"finally!" eunwoo cheered, as he passed two balls towards jihae's brother.

before seonghwa could ask anything, jungkook handed him the basketballs. "hit them."

the simplicity in jungkook's voice was almost scary to the junior. "i- uh-"

now he remembers why he was afraid of jungkook. the guy was a bully to whoever gets on his bad side. sure, he could be charming and kind but to anyone who bothers him or the people around him, he was terrifying.

"hit their temples!" a guy named bambam, as seonghwa knew since he was also very well known.

seonghwa looks at the two guys on their knees with scowls yet a scared look on their faces.

"go on. throw the ball." jungkook prompts the junior.

the cinematography major swallowed before flicking his eyes from all the people watching.

"i c-can't." he placed the balls down, earning murmurs from his schoolmates. he angled his body to face jungkook who had an eyebrow raised, and bowed.

"i appreciate your concern, sunbae, but i..." he bit his lower lip, half expecting to get thrown out of the gym. "i don't think i want revenge."

he finished, still with his head low. he couldn't afford the look at the senior, until he felt a tap on his shoulder. "well, what do you want? and look me in the eyes when you're talking to me." jungkook says.

seonghwa slowly peeked and straightened himself. "an apology."

the athletics major sighed as he turned his head to the boys on their knees with a deadly glare. "you heard him. apologize-"

"not to me, but to jihae." the junior cuts off. "she was very bothered by them. even though she might not accept it, just say sorry."

the room stayed quiet for a while.

a chuckle was heard from jaehyun. "you think you're all bad ass for doing this? why would i apologize for something i don't regret?"

in a flash, a ball met the jaehyun's face.

"he might be nice, but i'm not." jungkook growled.

seonghwa tensed up when he saw blood coming out of jaehyun's nose.

the senior took a deep breath and faced him again. "i was planning on getting them to say sorry, anyway."

the ravenette nodded and bowed one more time. "i-i'll be going, then. thank you." he awkwardly express his gratitude.

just as he was about to leave, jungkook stops him. "let's talk outside."

thinking that obviously had no choice, seonghwa followed from behind as the senior exits the gym.

when outside, the athletics major paused for a second before looking at seonghwa intently, making him stiffen.

"have you and jihae been..." the older scratches his head before continuing. "fine?"

the junior wonderingly stared at jungkook before mumbling, "yeah. we're good."

"not separately but, you know, as friends? or whatever you guys were." jungkook said the last part rather inaudibly, because as much as he hates to admit it, he knows the two took a liking for each other.

that's how painfully obvious it was.

in shock, seonghwa took his time to reply since he found the current situation intimidating and awkward all together.

"we're..." the younger boy prolonged his words as he couldn't seem to own up to the fact that he and the girl were clearly being careful with each other's presence.

jungkook sighed at the lack of response but decided not to question any further. he wanted to make one thing sure, though. "you do like her, right?"

the ravenette looks down before nodding bashfully.

"good." the muscular boy exhaled. "look, i'm not the best person to give advices, but can you do me a favor and talk to her?"

as the senior saw the boy hesitating, he frowned. "come on. i know you want to."

"stop pressuring him, will you, jeon?" a voice from the gym's door said.

"lisa? were you eavesdropping?" jungkook skeptically asked, making the girl chuckled and walk towards them.

"seonghwa, right?" her kind eyes made seonghwa nod almost immediately. "well, knowing jihae, i think she'd be happy when you'll have a chat with her."

the junior's eyes fell to the ground once more. "i think she wouldn't want to see me."

"we don't exactly know what happened between you two, but she was clearly beaming when she was with you. catching up wouldn't hurt, right?"

"what if she's the one who doesn't want to talk to me?" seonghwa quietly questioned.

"are you stupid or stupid-" jungkook spoke up, earning a smack on the head from his girlfriend.

"it's worth a shot, though! if she doesn't, then respect her decision. if she does, listen then voice out." lisa encouraged. "you don't have to do anything grand. just be yourself! jihae likes you!"

seonghwa blushed at the last remark but smiled thankfully at the thai girl. "thank you, noona."

"noona? wh-" lisa puts a hand over jungkook's mouth and returned a grin to the junior.

"sure thing, heartbreaker." the female senior joked, managing to make the previously nervous boy laugh. "now, go and cheer up already."

"i'll tall to her. thank you so much, noona, sunbae." seonghwa bowed to the both of them.

"how many times do i have to remind you to call me hyung?" jungkook was now pouting, seeing how easily the younger got comfortable with lisa. it almost sounded like a whine.

"i'll w-work on it, hyung." seonghwa sheepishly smiled. "i'll get going, now."

"alright! see you around!" lisa waved him goodbye along with her boyfriend whose arm she needed to raise as well.

"i can't believe my sis is getting a boyfriend." the boy eye rolled obnoxiously, causing lisa to make a 'tch' sound.

"you do know she's had past boyfriends before?"

"yeah, but i didn't like any of them." jungkook moved his bottom lip forward. "this time, i actually approve of the guy."

his girlfriend giggled as he pinched his cheeks. "then, stop acting so sad. come on, we have things to handle inside." she tilted her head to the gym.

"right. what are they doing?"

"we still have bambam teasing chris, and mingyu judging jaehyun's pink hair."
