Chapter 3- The Moon And The Wolf
(3rd Person, From now on unless I say otherwise)
Olivia led Jesse around town the next day. She showed him all the best shops and places to eat. Axel had tagged along but he abandoned them at the bakery so he could get free samples.
"What's your favorite food?" Olivia asked, Jesse thought for a moment "Any kind of meat really, except porkchops" he replied tiredly. Jesse wasn't tired from all the walking they had been doing for the past hour, he was tired because the full moon would be here soon. "When's the full moon?" He asked hesitantly "Tomorrow, why?" She asked.
"I like to find a nice quiet place and watch the sky" Jesse replied, it wasn't a complete lie. He did like to watch the sky, but he wanted to find an isolated place so he doesn't kill anyone. "Yeah, there's a mountain close by that has an incredible view, and the stars show more brightly in the sky. No one goes up there though, it's too hard of a climb." Olivia informed.
At sunset the next day Jesse climbed up the mountain easily with his wolf skills. Pieces of the rock fell down below as he leaped from ledge to ledge. At the top was a stretch of green grass covered lightly with snow, a few birch trees scattered around the open field of white. There were a few sheep grazing the small patches of grass near by.
Jesse looked down the side of the mountain, he could see the town below. People as small as ants went into their homes for the night. The sun was setting, Jesse watched as the sun's rays dimmed and disappeared on the horizon. Stars sparkled in the sky as the full moon started to rise from behind Jesse.
The cold air didn't bother Jesse at all, he laid down on his back against the snow and watched the sky for a moment. Suddenly his head started to hurt, he groaned in annoyance his vision blurry and red.
A dark brown wolf lunged at the sheep on the mountain, they tried to run away but the wolf was quick and bloodthirsty.
As the night started to fade, scarlet drops of blood stained the once white snow. Dead sheep were scattered across the clearing, Jesse sat up and held his head with the palm of his hands. His head pounded with pain, he didn't know exactly what happened in the night but he had a feeling he knew what happened.
