It was almost midnight and Jesse walked down the halls toward the forest room. Jay was on the other side of the lab, roaming around the hallways over there, so he wouldn't be much of a problem. The iron doors opened and Lukas and Petra were standing there. They quickly walked out of the room and the iron doors slammed closed. Jesse flinched when the sound echoed in the hall.

"Won't they find out tomorrow when they check the cameras?" Petra whispered as they snuck threw the hallway. Jesse silently laughed "they never check the cameras for what happened during the night" he replied. They snuck into a room that had a dark oak door leading into it.

It was a bathroom. More specifically the mens bathroom. "Of course there would be no cameras in the bathroom. If they did that would be creepy." Petra commented, Lukas nodded in agreement. Jesse seemed to relax when they had entered the bathroom. They went into the big stall and locked it, in case someone came in.

"So what's your first question?" Jesse asked while whispering. Lukas asked the first question "what is the difference between experiments and normal people?" Jesse started to explain "Okay, experiments are people who have had their DNA merged with a creature, like an enderman or silverfish, or merged with an animal like a wolf or cat. Experiments are kidnapped at a young age preferably under the age of 12. Rarely they would be born here." He paused "Experiments are punished and are stuck in a small dirtied cell until they have proven their loyalty to Zander. Most experiments are faking their loyalty until they can escape. But once they escape they are usually found and punished with death, unless Zander can't afford to kill them then he just punishes them severely." Jesse shivered at the last part.

Petra asked a question next "What's The Changer? Zander mentioned it when we first got here." Jesse seemed to pale a bit before he answered "T-The Changer? It's an evil device that looks like a harmless whistle. It only effects one type of experiment. It changes them from their human form, the throbbing pain in your head, the constant voice that tells you 'you're pathetic' or 'kill', the constant ringing in your ears, the blood red eyes." He sat on the floor and hugged his knees.

"It sounds like you speak from experience" Petra commented, Jesse didn't reply. He only stared at the ground as thoughts and memories swam in his head. Lukas looked over at Petra with a worried glance, he then hesitantly sat down next to Jesse and put his hand on Jesse's shoulder.

Jesse flinched away at the sudden contact. "Any other questions?" He asked, Lukas seemed to hesitate before asking "Are... you an experiment?" Jesse was silent before he nodded his head "The very first one" he replied "what type?" Lukas continued to ask carefully "wolf, so kinda like a werewolf" he replied "and the only one of that experiment type, therefore the only one affected by The Changer" he added with a growl.

"What do the letters and numbers stand for on your collar?" Petra asked. "Well the first letter stands for the first letter in your name, the second letter is the experiment type and the numbers are what age you arrived here." Jesse explained "its only for the experiments" he added. "What letters stand for what experiment?" Lukas asked "W, wolf. E, enderman. D, enderdragon. C, cat. B, blaze. K, wither skeleton. S, cave spiders. F, silverfish. V, vex. And I think that's all" Jesse shrugged "Wait, there's enderdragon experiments!" Lukas exclaimed "there's only one and that's SD-7, he's actually a nice guy" Jesse replied.

Jesse suddenly stiffened, an alarmed look in his eyes. "What's u-" Lukas started to ask when Jesse cut him off by slapping his hand over Lukas's mouth. Footsteps were heard then stopped "I swore I heard voices over here" the voice said to themself. Then footsteps faded away as the person walked off. Petra sighed in relief and Jesse let go of Lukas. "I should get you back before someone notices your gone" Jesse explained while standing up from the cold ground.

He snuck them back into the forest room and continued with his nighttime guarding.
