Bondita: Kya hua Naina? Tum wahan se aise uth ke kyun aa gyi? Kuch pareshaani hai?

Naina : Bondita tera itna pyaara aur bada parivaar dekh ke na mujhe khud ke upar taras aa rha hai ki Mera aisa parivaar nhi hai.

Bondita looked at her confused.

Naina : Bondita dekh na bachpan mein Maa guzar gyi aur Baba. Baba toh apne duniya mein magna rehte the. Woh sirf  sharab peete aur Maa ko yaad karte the.
Sumati Maa se mili toh pata chala ki Maa ka pyaar kya hota hai. Na mera bhai hai naa hi tere jaisa koi bada parivaar.

Bondita and Dev : Kisne kaha?

Dev was standing at the threshold of the room and entering he said : Kisne kaha ki tumahra koi parivaar nhi hai Naina? Mein hoon , Rajeev hai , Maa Baba Thakumaa , Prerna sab hai na tumhara parivaar.

Naina: Dada?

Dev : Tumne meri choti ka bohot saath diya hai Naina. Dukh ho sukh ho har waqt. Tumahre bohot upkaar hai hum par.

Naina: Dada meine koi upkaar nhi kiya hai. Bondita meri dost se zyada meri behen jaisi hai.

Dev : Toh agar Bondita teri behen hui toh mein bhi tera bada bhai hua na?

Naina: Par...

Dev : Toh aaj se yeh tay raha. Mein aur Rajeev aaj se tumahre bade bhai honge. Humare liye Choti jaisi hai waise hi tu hai. Pata hai do do behen hone ke bad bhi mujhe 1 aur behne chahiye thi aur aaj woh iccha puri ho gyi.

Naina cried and hugged him while Dev patted her head. Bondita mouthed a thank you while Dev blinked his eyes.

Three of them went downstairs to find Som and Anirudh standing with sulking face, Batuk giggling while Reeta having her mango pickle. Bani and Saina had dozed off on the sofa itself.

Bondita: kya hua? Aap logon ka mooh aise kyun latka hua hai jaise Bandar ka hota hai jab usse Kele cheen liye jaate hai?

Som whispered: Bandar ki bandariya jaa rhi hai. Dukh toh hoga hi na.

Anirudh whispered: Tu Bandar mein nhi.

Som whispered back : Arre aap toh Rakshas ho na. Toh aapki rakshasi jaa rhi hai. Dukh nhi ho rha kya?

Anirudh whispered: Ho rha hai na. Bohot ho rha hai.

Naina from behind whispered to them : Kya ho rha hai?

Anirudh and Som freaked out seeing Naina like this.

Som : pagal ho kya? Aise kon bolta hai peeche se?

Naina laughed aloud and said : Naina Roy Chowdhary.

Som: Tum na..

They started to fight while Anirudh shaked his head in disbelief. He turned to go when he again shouted. He saw Bondita standing keeping her hands on her waist while looking at him with big black eyes.

Anirudh: Tum dono doston ne pran liya hai kya hum dono bhaiyon ko Dara ke rahoge?

Batuk while eating grapes said : Kya Dada.? Mere dono boudiyon ko aap dono se darna chahiye. Vanmanush jo thehre.

Som : Batuknaath Roy Chowdhary aapko nhi lagta ki aap kuch zyada hi bol rhe hai aaj kal?

Batuk: Aap logon ko sach ka Aina dikhaya hai meine.

Anirudh: Haan tu andar chal. Sach ka Aina mein bhi dikhata hoo.

Kaka talking with pandit ji came and said : Bondita bahu. Naina bahu jao jaake samaan baandh lo. Tum dono ko abhi hi nikalna hoga.

Bondita : Okay. Par..

Naina: Par itni der ho gyi hai. Konsa samaan bandhna hai yaa nahi samay lagega na Kaka sasoor ji.

Dev : Samaan le jaane ki zaroorat nahi hai. Humne sab samaan Kaka ke doosre haveli mein laa diya hai. Toh chalo..

Bondita and Naina : Theek hai.

Dev : Kaka agar aapki ijazat ho toh mein, choti aur Naina nikalna chahenge.

Anirudh: Dev mere bhai mujhe na kuch zaroori baat karni hai Bondita se case ke baare mein. 10 nahi 20 min lagege bas.

Bondita: Par ab tak toh hume koi case nhi mila hai.

Anirudh : Mujhe mila hai. Mein batana bhool gya. Chalo na.

Bondita looked at Kaka who in return sighed and nodded. Anirudh dragged Bondita from there and took her to the room.

Bondita: Are are araam se.

He closed the doors behind and hugged her from back. Snuggling to her neck , he whispered in her ears.

Anirudh: Mat jao na.

Bondita: Pati babu bas teen din ki baat hai.

Anirudh: Teen din. 72 ghante. Haye mein toh pagal ho jaunga na.

Bondita: pagol bangali toh ho. Aur kya pagal Hoge?

Anirudh: Acha.
He started tickling her. Bondita laughed her heart out along with Anirudh and both of them fell on bed. Bondita stopped laughing and kept her head on his chest and snuggled close to him. Anirudh's arms wrapped around her.

Bondita: I love you Pati Babu.

Anirudh: I love you too chanchala.

Bondita snuggled to his neck and dozed off. Both slept in eachother arms.

As Anirudh woke up he found the room empty. A note was kept on the side table. As he read a smile came on his face.

Priya Pati Babu,

Matlab hone wale Pati babu. Maaf kariyega aise bina bole chali gyi par kya karun sote waqt aap itne pyare dikh rhe the ki uthane ka man nhi hua. Bas teen din pati babu, phir hum ek saath honge.
Teen aap apni Bondita ka intezaar toh kar sakte hai na?

Chalo ab teen din baad hi hum mil payenge. Tab tak apni beti ko dekho. Bina khaye so gyi hogi. Usse khila dena aur khud bhi khaa lena.

Anirudh sighed and said looking at their photograph: Pagol mein.

He changed himself into comfortable kurta and headed downstairs.

Bondita and Naina stood at the threshold of the haveli. All this while Naina's face was gleaming with happiness while Bondita's face was a stern one. Kalindi did the teeka for both girls and asked them to come in.

Kalindi : Meethu..

Bondita: Lata kaki? Maa kahan hai? Apni Bondita de milne nhi ayegi woh?

Lata : woh abhi teerth par gyi hai

Bondita : Theek hai. Mein kamre mein jaa rhi hoon. Chal Naina.
And went away with Naina.

Lata consoled Kalindi : Sab theek ho jayega Maa.

The marraige preparation had already begun. He looked for Bani and found that Binoy was making Saina and Bani eat while saying something and they were even listening to them intently.

A smile came across his face when he remembered that how he used to do the same when Shubra use to handle little batuk and their father used to make them eat, play, study and what not. How good those days were?

Som : Acha laga na yeh dekh ke kuch cheezien kabhi nhi badalti.

Both of them sighed .

Anirudh: Kya hua? Naina ki yaad aa rhi hai?

Som : Aapko boudi ki yaad nhi aa rhi kya?

Anirudh: Bohot yaad aa rhi hai mere bhai.

Som : ek kaam karte hai na. Phone karte hai.

Anirudh: Par Kaka...

Som : arre kuch nhi hoga.

Som dragged Anirudh with him and called at the number.

A woman picked up and said harshly : hello kon?

Som immediately hung up the call.

Som : Aisa laga rakshasi ki awaaz Suni.

A woman from behind : Keshav kya kar rhe ho telephone ke saath.

Boy : Maa kisi ka phone hai.

Woman : Hello. Ji kon bol rha hai?

Som : Prerna Mein Somnath hoon.

Prerna : Dada aap. Oho Naina boudi ke bina raha nhi jaa rha haina?

Som : Prerna Naina ko phone do na. Please.

Prerna : Waise jiju..

Som : jiju?

Prerna smiling: Aur nhi toh kya? Dev dada ne behen mana hai aur parivaar walon ne beti. Toh aap humare jiju hi huye na.

Som : Sach.

Prerna : Ji.

A voice came from Prerna's side : Kon hai Pari?
