After Saudamini left ,Anirudh was sitting in study with closed eyes.
Somnath who saw his brother sitting idle was surprised but soon concluded that it was because of the happenings in the evening.He sighed and entered the study.

Som- dada.

Anirudh- Haan som bolo.

Som- kya hua?Kya soch rahe hain?

Anirudh-kuch nhi bas ,aaj jo hua woh..

Som-dada ab soch ke kya faida,jo hona tha woh toh ho gya na!
Hum badal toh nahi sakte na. Humare paas jo abhi hai ,ussi ke saath aage badhna chahiye.

Anirudh-haan,waise tum itni geheri baatein kabse karne lage?

Som reminiscing his feelings for bondita and helplessness-waqt deekha deta hai dada.

Anirudh-kya?mein kuch samjha nahi.

Som,shrugging-kuch nhi bas,purani baatein bhool jayiye.

Anirudh-tum theek ho na som?

Som- Haan, dada mujhe kya hua ?

Anirudh-theek hai phir jao so jao,bohot der ho gyi hai.

Som-jii,goodnight.

Anirudh-good,night.

Som going outside and thinking- aap purani baatein bhool jayiye dada aur mein mere jazbaat bhoolne ki.

After the hospital incident,i.e.
when bondita called him Som,he had remembered all the emotions he had for her.He was clearly confused right now,for his feelings.
He went inside his room,opened his drawer and took out the picture of smiling face of Bondita. He smiled seeing her smiling face but then remembered that she was married to his brother.He shaked his head,kept the picture back to the drawer,locked it and laid on his bed.

In Bondita's room.

Bondita wasn't able to sleep.She tried several times.She sat on the bed,thought something and was about to leave the room but took off her payal,kept it on the side table and left the room.

Anirudh too left the room to take a stroll outside when he saw a shadow.
He asked who it is but the shadow of the person didn't reply and moved ahead.He thought it might be some goons who had barged in to collect evidences of the case he is working. Annoyed by this ,Anirudh took a blanket and followed the shadow.As soon as he reached close to the person he put the blanket on it and dragged the wriggling soul inside the study.
After reaching the study he closed the doors.The person tried to release itself but couldn't do so as the hold was too tight and also Anirudh had put a cloth inside her mouth.As soon as Anirudh turned the person,though he didn't leave his tight hold on her hand,he removed the blanket and was shocked to see the person who in return was staring him angrily.

Anirudh- Tum?

Person- nahi ,aapki aatma.

Anirudh- bondita,tum yahan kya kar rhi ho?

Bondita- ajeeb hain aap.Aap hi toh mujhe yahan leke aaye.

Anirudh-mera Matlab tha ki itni raat ko Bahar kya kar rhi thi?

Bondita-meri marzi mein jo karun,aapko kya?

Anirudh-mera ghar hai,mein tumse sawaal pooch sakta hoo.

Bondita-mera bhi ghar hai,mein jahan chahun wahan ghumoon,apko kya?

Anirudh-kisne kaha,yeh tumhara ghar hai?

Bondita-meine kaha,takleef hai aapko?

Anirudh-tum na pagal ho.

Bondita-toh aap konse samajhdaar hai?

Anirudh-Bondita.

Bondita-kya?

Anirudh- tumne mere sawaal ka jawab nhi diya.

Bondita-konsa sawaal?

Anirudh- arre abhi jo pucha.

Bondita-mujhe koi sawaal yaad nhi hai.

Anirudh- Tum na sachme ajeeb ho.

Bondita- aap maha ajeeb hai.

Anirudh- acha mein ajeeb hoon ,kaise?

Bondita-ab hain toh hain,koi badal sakta hai kya bhala?Aur ek sec sabse pehele aapne mujhe ajeeb kaha.mein ajeeb kaise hui bhala?

Anirudh-ab ajeeb ho toh ho,koi badal sakta hai kya bhala?

Bondita-aapse na baat hi karna bekaar hai.

Anirudh-haan toh meine kab kaha baat karne ko?

Bondita-mujhe koi shok nahi hai,aapse baat karne ke liye.

Anirudh-haan ,toh yahan kya kar rhi ho? Jao na .

Bondita- mein yahan koi apni marzi se nhi aayi hoon,aap hi ne  Mera apharan kiya aur yahan laaye.

Anirudh-meine kab apharan kiya?

Bondita-chaadar odhaakar mooh mein kapda daalkar uthake le aaye.Iss cheez ko apharan kehte hain jo ki aapne kuch der pehele mere saath aapne prayog kiya.

Anirudh-haan toh mei kya karta,meine awaaz di paar tumne koi jawab nhi diya.Mujhe laga ki koi badmaash aadmi hoga jo ghar mein ghus aaya aur..

Bondita-hay Durgaa Maa.Apni patni ko koi badmaash bolta hai kya bhala?

Anirudh mummering to himself but was audible to bondita- sach hai waise.

Bondita- mein aapko badmaash aadmi dikhayi deti hoon?

Anirudh-ek sec,tum toh ladki ho na,toh tum badmaash nhi,badmaash ladki hui na ?

Bondita-aisa kya?

Anirudh - Haan.

Bondita-acha,thik hai..ek sec aapne mujhe badmaash ladki kaha?

Anirudh-haan.

Bondita-kya ?

Anirudh-nhi,Mera matlab nhi.

Bondita-mujhe naa aapse na baat hi nhi karni.Turning away her face.

Anirudh- Haan toh mat karo.said ani mimicking her.

Bondita-mein jaa rhi hoon.

Anirudh- Haan toh jao.
Anirudh expected that bondita would answer back but he didn't hear her voice.

Anirudh-sach mei chali gyi kya?

His thoughts came to halt when he heard some noise under his study.

Anirudh-Bondita?mujhe Pata tha tum nhi gyi hogi yahin hogi.

Bondita came out but didn't say anything.

Anirudh-kya hua bondita?tum chup..his voice came to halt when he saw the broken coco phone in her hand.

A tear rolled down her cheek while from Anirudh's eyes also a tear fell down. Anirudh wiping up his face,said- Bondita..

Bondita-good night. Saying this she went away keeping the coco phone on the table.

As soon as she left Anirudh closed his eyes and let out a sigh.

Anirudh- mujhe Bondita se Maafi maangni hogi,chahe kuch bhi ho jaye.Par kaise..?

His eyes went towards the broken coco phone and thought of some idea. He with a wide smile went towards the kitchen.

Next morning

The morning started with the sweet voice of Bondita who was doing Aarti of Goddess Durga.Kaka was standing behind her with joined hands.Koyli,Bihari,som and batuk were also standing with joined hands and closed eyes.Naina was standing beside Naina who was offering the flowers and prashaad to Durgaa Maa.

After the Aarti was done,Bondita turned to offer Prasad to everyone but stopped and looked behind with wide eyes.

The youngsters looked at the direction were Bondita was looking and they were also shocked.
Kaka's praying to Maa was done and so he asked bondita to give him the prashaad.

Kaka- bahu,prashaad do.

But bondita didn't listen to him  and continued to look at the direction.

Kaka saw Bondita looking somewhere and he also turned to look at her direction and was shocked to see both Anirudh and Binoy standing there with closed eyes and praying.
Kaka took out his Spectacles,rubbed his eyes, cleaned his specs and wore it thinking it as dream but it was not. He was actually witnessing the father and son praying.

Kaka mummering- yeh do Naastik achanak se Aastik kaise ban gye?

Bondita-wahi toh Kaka sasoor ji,samajh nhi aa rha.

Som-mujhe toh daal mein kuch kala lag rha hai.

Naina-arre pagol maanush,puri daal kaali hai.

Batuk- ek sec, agar daal kaali hai toh usse phek dena chahiye na? Lekin phir dopahar mein kya khayenge?

Naina,Kaka and Bondita gave a weird look to Batuk and turned their heads to look at front while Som hit Batuks head.

Koyli and Bihari talking among themselves.
Koyli-yeh aaj kya dekh liya humne?

Bihari-Sapna.

Koyli-Sapna?

Bihari-yeh bade maalik aue chote maalik ek saath woh bhi mandir mein,subha subha, kisi sapne se kam hai kya?Hume toh lag rha hai ki humari neend puri nhi hui hai.

Koyli- mujhe bhi,mooh dhoke aayen kya?

Bihari- nahi,sapne ko sapna ho rehne dete hai.kya Pata kal ho na ho.

Koyli nodded and looked in front.

Binoy opened his eyes only to receive confused and shocked stares.

Anirudh opened his eyes only to get a mini heart attack.

Anirudh-ahh.

Bondita-kya?

Anirudh-aise samne,bhoot Banke kyun khadi ho?

Bondita-mein,nhi pura parivaar khada hai.

Anirudh-kyun?

Bondita-aap subah subah yahan kya kar rhe hai?

Anirudh-jo sab karte hai.

Bondita-kya karte hai?

Anirudh-bhagwaan se praathna!?

Bondita-haan,par aap kyun kar rhe hai?

Anirudh-kyun nhi kar sakta ?

Bondita-kar sakte ho,par achanak se aapke andar itni bhakti kyun aa gyi?

Anirudh-ab aa gyi yoh aa gyi.

Bondita-aise kaise aa gyi,eph bhi aapke andar.Badi hairaani ki baat hai.

Anirudh-kyun nhi aa sakti mere andar bhakti.

Bondita-jo Barrister Roy Chowdary kal tak pooja path mein vishwaas nhi karta tha,aaj woh yahan khada hokar pathnames kar rha hai.

Anirudh,mummering-tumahra hi asar hai.

Bondita-kuch kaha?

Anirudh-nhi toh,mein kahan kuch kehta hoon.

Bondita-Aap nohot kuch kehte ho par jo kehte ho na uske baad kya karna chahiye woh nhi karte hai.

Anirudh understood her taunt completely but before he could react she went to Binoy.

Bondita-woh..prashaad.

Binoy stared her for min or two.Even Anirudh was shocked to see his baba standing there but didn't react as of he didn't care.

Binoy forwarded his hand and Bondita hesitantly kept the prashaad on his hand.

Binoy was about to leave when he said to Bondita- woh..tum ab se mujhe Baba bula sakti ho.Sasoor ji nhi please.And went away.

Everyone was shocked to hear to what binoy said.

Trilochan and Naina turned to face Durgaa Maa for thanking her to let Binoy accept Bondita as daughter in law of the house and wife of Anirudh. They took prashaad from Bondita and left the scene.
Batuk and Somnath looking at eachother said- yeh ho ky raha hai?
They also left the scene while mummering to eachother.

Only Bondita was still there  standing shocked.Suddenly she felt something slipping away from her hand,she saw batuk aas taking the thaal as sweets were there and he was successful in it.Batuk ran away while Bondita was running behind him.

Anirudh chuckled seeing both of them and without anyone notice went inside the mandir.

Anirudh to Durgaa maa- Aaj aapki wajah se Bondita mere saath hai,mere paas hai.Dhanyavaad durgaa maa,mujhe Bondita wapas Lautne ke liye.Ab se aap sirf Bondita ki nahi,meri bhi durgaa maa hai.

Bondita was standing behind him with thaal in her hands which she had successfully snatched from batuk. She heard what Anirudh said.

As soon as Anirudh turned bondita turned away to hide her tears.
She wiped her face,turned and went inside the mandir kept the thaal and was about to leave when Anirudh stopped her.

Anirudh-Maaf karogi?

Bondita-Kabhi nhi .

Anirudh-Meri baat bhi nhi sunogi?

Bondita-Aapne suni thi ?
Saying this she left the place while Anirudh sighed and turned to Durgaa Maa.

Anirudh-Apne naye bhakt ki thodi toh sahayata kardo maa.

Suddenly his eyes went towards the Sondesh which kept on the thaal and suddenly something clicked in his mind.

He gave a wide smile and left to call someone.

The breakfast table again faced with shocked faces when Binoy asked Bondita to prepare his English tea. She happily prepared and served him.

Bondita-yeh lijiye unc..mera Matlab baba.

Binoy gave a subtle smile and began to eat the food.

Batuk to som- yeh baba se subha subha pee li hai kya?

Som- ho sakta hai.

Batuk-kya lagta hai,kitni pee hogi?

Som-3-4 maybe..?

Batuk- baba itni si Peete hai? Na na!mujhe toh lagta 5-6 aaram se gatak liye honge.

Som kept mum started to have his food while batuk was confused why Som wasn't answering him when a voice made him widen his eyes.

Kya gatak liya meine batuk?-Binoy.

Batuk,shuttering voice-woh baba ..woh..Paani.Paani gatak lena chahiye tha aapko,English tea peene se pehele.wahi keh rha tha mein.

Anirudh-tum theek toh ho na batuk.

Batuk- Haan dada,mujhe kya hua?

Anirudh nodded and looked at Bondita who was serving the food and busy ignoring him.

Anirudh-Aaj coffee nhi mili,mujhe bihari,kya karte ho,jao coffee leke aao.

Bihari nodded and went away to get the coffee.
He instantly returned from tha kitchen and said - aapki coffee.

Anirudh taking the first sip recognized that Coffee was made by Bondita but she was standing here then how can she make the coffee?

Bihari-Barrister babu yeh coffee toh humne nhi banayi ,balki bani hui thi.Rasaoi ghar mein rakhi hui thi.

Anirudh sighed knowing the reason.Suddenly a voice came from the door of the house.

Anirudh Roy Chowdhary.

Anirudh- aa gya? Sayong this he left the place.

Batuk-kon aa gya?

Naina-chudail.

Batuk-chudail subha subha yahan kyun ayegi?woh toh raat ko ghumti hai na.

Naina-meine usee subha ke naashte ke liye bulaya tha.Takleef hai ?

Batuk- mujhe nhi Kaka ko hogi. Waise bhi pujaari bane ghumte hai,khaane ke waqt chudail aa gyi toh havan kund yahin sthapna kar pooja karne lagenge.

Kaka narrowed his eyes while the others shared a laugh.

They saw Anirudh and bihari carrying something in their hands.

Kaka-yeh kya hai aur kahan leke jaa rhe ho?

Anirudh- woh Kaka bondita ke liye hai.

Anirudh saw koyli and asked her where Bondita is to which she replied that Bondita is in terrace.

Anirudh thinking-Perfect timing.

After 10 mins when Bondita was going to her room she saw something on the outside table.

8 handis of roshogulle?- bondita thought.
8 handis of roshogulle were kept on the table with each note on top of it.

Pot 1 and note 1-Maaf kardo na.

Pot 2 and note 2- please.

Pot 3 and note 3- agli baar se aisa nhi karunga.

Pot 4 and note 4- pakka vaada.

Pot 5 and note 5- humesha tumpe bharosa karunga.

Pot 6 and note 6- yeh bhi pakka vaada.

Pot 7 and note 7- nhi kiya toh jo saza deni hai dedena.Mein oof tak nhi karunga.Pakka waada.

Pot 8 and no note??

She checked under the table thinking that it might have flew away when Bondita saw Anirudh holding his ears infront of her and making a puppy face.

Anirudh-Maaf kardo na ,bondita. Please.

Bondita who was having a smile on her face looking all the preparation he had done to get a sorry from her,vanished.Ignoring him ,she went inside and sat on the bed with a puffed face.

Anirudh sighed and walked in with a coco phone.
He threw one to her and held the other.

Anirudh-usse pakdo.

Bondita gave a look to him and turned away her face.

Anirudh inwardly chuckled and thought-Sirf naam ki badi hui hai,bachi hai abhi bhi.

Anirudh clearing his throat said -mein Bondita se nhi bondita ki maa se baat karna chahta hoon.

Bondita gave a thought and held the other side of the coco shell and glared him.

Anirudh-tring tring.

Bondita- hello.

Anirudh- hello maa,mein Bondita ka Pati babu bol rha hoon.

Bondita with a tint of blush-kahiye jamai babu.

Anirudh-maa,woh bondita na mujhse bohot naraaz hai.

Bondita-aapne harkat hi aisi ki hai.

Anirudh- Maa dil se maafi maangna chahta hoon bondita se. Par woh sunne ko Raazi hi nhi hai.Maa maanta hoon meine jo kiya woh galat kiya,uske mein sharminda bhi hoon.Mujhe aaj ehsaas hua ki mein Kitna galat tha.Agar uss samay meine dheerajta ke saath bondita ki baat sunni hoti toh jo hua woh nhi hota.Maa usse kaho na mujhe Maaf karde.Please.
A tear rolled down his cheek.

On the other hand bondita was already having tearful eyes and was looking at him.

Anirudh kept the shell aside,held his ears and said-Sorry.

Bondita- buddhu babu.

Anirudh and Bondita shared a laugh.

Anirudh- maaf kiya?

Bondita-hmm.

Anirudh-ek sec and ran outside.

Bondita-arre kahan.

The other min he entered the room with 8 handis of Roshogulla.

He gave one handi to her and said- Yek lo,tumhare liye mangwaai thi khaas Kolkata se.Ek  Balaam waale roshogulle.

A bright smile appeared on his face and she snatched the pot from his hands.
She took one from the pot and was about to eat when she stopped and gestured Anirudh to sit beside her.
Anirudh did as she said.
She gestured to open his mouth.
Anirudh with a confused face did as she said and was shocked the other min when Bondita stuffed the Roshogulla in his mouth.
Anirudh widened his eyes and laughed. He then stuffed one Roshogulla in her mouth.

Both were laughing and giggling with eachother.

Binoy and Trilochan Kaka were watching both of them from outside.

Binoy- da aapko jaisi bahu chahiye thi,waise hi mili hai na.

Trilochan- sahi kaha binoy.Ek salvaging sarpan bahu mili hai hume.Waise tumne aaj jo kiya..

Binoy- apni galti sufhaar raha hoon da.Ek sasoor ki tarah humesha galat bartaav kiya par ab ek baba ke tarah sneh aur saath doonga.

Suddenly Bihari came and started shouting- bade maalik! bade maalik.

Binoy and kaka- kya hua?

Bihari-woh som baba..
