Kaka and Binoy were sitting on Sofa when Bihari came running and huffing.

Bihari: Maalik! Maalik!

Kaka: Kya hua Bihari? Konsa Aasmaan toot pada hai ki aise daud raha hai.

Bihari: Maalik woh..

Binoy,irritated: Bihari bolo bhi..

Bihari: Maalik woh Chote Maalik vivaah karke aaye hai.
Said in one go.

Kaka and Binoy nodded but then recollectig the words they stood up being furious and said : Kya kaha?

Bihari timidly nodded.

Both Kaka and Binoy stood infront of the threshold waiting for Anirudh to come. Both paced infront of the door like two Wild Royal Bengal Tiger.

In a worn out Building.

Manorama was lost somewhere when Madhav tapped her shoulder.

Madhav: Kahan khoi hui ho Mannu?

Manorama: Kahin nhi bas Man mein ek ajeeb ghabrahat hai.

Madhav: Kaisi ghabrahat.

Manorama: Pata nhi kal raat se bechaini ho rahi hai.

Madhav: Par ab nhi hogi. Mein ek khabar laaya hoon.

Manorama: Kya?

Madhav: Anirudh aur Bondita phirse ek ho gye. Unhone phirse vivaah kiya hai iss baar apne marzi se.

Manorama, happily pinching her throat: Shotti.

Madhav looked at her while Manorama too looked at herself remembering what she did. Both laughed aloud and Madhav uttered by doing the same: Shotti.

Both looked at the night sky which was full of twinkling stars.

Manorama kept her head on Madhav's shoulder and looked at the sky. Madhav smiled at looked at the sky too after wrapping his arm around her.

In RC Haveli.

Anirudh came and stood on the threshold of the house.

Kaka came and stood infront of him and asked: Anirudh, yeh hum kya sunn rahe hai? Tumne vivaah kar liya?

Anirudh looked down.

Binoy : Anirudh, Da kuch puch rahe hai. Tumne vivaah kiya kya?

Anirudh meekly nodded.

Kaka,shouting: Arre pagal ho gye ho kya Anirudh. Bondita bahu ko bhool gye kya? Hum logon ko Tulsipur bheja aur khud Calcutta mein rahe taaki Bahu ko wapas laa sake. Yeh kya kiya tune?

Anirudh turned away his face. Binoy was shivering with anger. He raised his hand to slap Anirudh, when he heard his daughter's voice.

Bondita: Baba... Kaka sasoor ji.

Kaka's and Trilochans Eyes welled up listen to her voice.

Kaka: Bahu..

Bondita hopped from behind and gave a wide smile but soon frowned when she saw her two fathers crying.

Bondita: kya hua aap dono mujhe yahan dekh khush nhi hai?

Baba: Bondita..meri beti ko wapas le aaye!

Kaka,happily: Bihari..Koyli dekho kon aaya hai. Tumhari priya choti Maalkin aur Bahu Rani. Aate waqt Aarti ki thaal,kukum paani aur safed chaadar le aanna. Sach keh rhe the tum dono.

Koyli and Bihari , came excitedly with the necessary items after they heard their Bade Maalik.

Koyli smiled and was about to move forward when Bihari stopped and said: Hum kaise maan le ki yeh humari choti Maalkin hai. Humari Maalkin to 15 saal ki thi. Unchai mein bhi kam thi.

Kaka hit his forehead while Binoy sighed. Bondita and others giggled while Anirudh frowned.

Anirudh, sarcastically: Bihari, 10 saal beet gye hai. Bondita abhi bhi choti thodi na rahegi.

Bihari: toh yeh batayiye ki Bondita Bahurani hume kya bulati thi.

Bondita: Bhari babu.

Bihari eyes widened and he clapped his hands in excitement and said: Koyli bahurani jii aayi hai. Khadi kyun ho. Aarti utaro na.

Koyli frowned and glared him.
She smiled at Bondita with tearful eyes and did Aarti.

Bondita stepped inside the house after 10 long years. Her eyes turned moist as she saw that everything was same as she left. She bent down and took the blessings of Kaka and Binoy. Binoy hugged Bondita and caressed her hairs.

Binoy: apne baba ko chodke koi jaata hai kya?

Bondita holding her ears apologised and smiled.

Koyli and Bihari were about to move away when Bondita stopped them. She bent down to take blessings , but both of them stepped back.

Bihari: bahu raani ji aap yeh kya kar rhi hai? Hum thehre naukar..

Bondita: Khabardaar agar apne kabhi apne aap ko naukar kaha toh. Aap iss parivaar ka hisaa hai. Aashirvaad nhi denge apni bahu raani ko?

Koyli: Par Maalkin hum kaise?

Bondita: Jab peheli baar iss ghar mein aayi thi toh Som dada ke baad aap dono ne hi mujhe apnaya tha. Tab se aap dono ka aur mera rishta jud gaya hai. Nhi denge ashirwaad?

Koyli and Bihari looked at eachother and then at Kaka who silently nodded with a smile.

They happily gave her the blessing.

Kaka: Jao jaake aaram karo chaaron ke charon. Thak gye honge na.

Batuk: Kaka sirf dada aur boudi hi kyun. Mein bhi thak haar ke aaya hoon. Mujhse bhi pucho zara.

Kaka: Humare paas itna samay nhi hai.
Jao soh jao.

Batuk : Meri patni Pata nhi kab aayegi. Hey bhagwaan meri bhaiyon ki zindagi sawaar di mere se kya dushmani hai.

Som: Zameen se pehele uug le.

Batuk frowned and went while the others laughed.

Kaka: Anirudh ab toh tu study mein nhi soyega na.

Bondita teasingly: Haan wahi toh sote hai. Warna aur kahan soyenge?

Anirudh: Nahi kyun?.. mera Matlab hai ki bekaar mein electricity waste hoga na. Hum dono ek hi kamre mein so jayenge.

All : Ek kamre mein..hmmm.
Bondita giggled and blushingly went upstairs.

Anirudh blushed profusely and clearing his throat said: So jao. Raat bohot ho gyi hai.

He too went upstairs and while rest of them laughed and retired to their rooms.

Bondita opened her door and was surprised to see that everything was at its place. Memories flooded in her mind and she touched everything slightly as tears fell from her eyes.

Anirudh : Sab waise ka waisa hai. Kissi ko naahi iss kamre mein aane diya aur naahi chunne. Sivay mere.

Bondita turned and looked at him with a smile.

Bondita: Itna yaad karte the mujhe?

Anirudh's, eyes turned moist and said: Tunahri yaadon ke saahre hi jee payan hoon yeh Das saal.

Bondita wiped his tears and smiled.
Anirudh smiled back and said: Jao mooh haath dho lo.

Bondita nodded and went inside the washroom while Anirudh with a smile went to his study.

In the Godown.

Madhav: Mannu soh jao.

Manorama: Aaj neend nhi aa rhi Madhav. Man bohot ghabra rha hai.

Madhav was about to reply when he heard someone's shout.

Manorama was about to get up when Madhav asked her to sit.

Manorama clutched her little baby bump and her 1 year old baby together. Her fear, her nightmare was coming true.

Madhav moved like a tiger. A tiger when he is about to catch his prey.

RC Haveli.

Bondita came out of the washroom , drying her hairs with the towel when her eyes went to the mirror.

Bed pe dekho.

Bondita surprised looked at the bed only to blush. A Blue Banarasi saree with minimal ornaments was kept with a note.

Yeh sab pehenke aao. Aur Haan baal khule rakhna.

Blushing she changed her saree and wore the ornaments. She put on a small black bindi, kohl around her eyes and put a slight light red color on her lips.
She wore her perfume and went down anklets jingling all the way.

As she reached the last stair,her feet fell on the petals of roses, a path made on the floor which led to study.

Smiling she walked on it and reached near the study. Her nose hit with smell of aromatic candles and blushed more.

Bondita whispering: Pati babu ne yeh sab mere liye kiya? Isshh.

She stepped inside and the lights went off. Sacred she was about to scream when Anirudh came from behind and put a hand on her mouth.

Anirudh whispered near her ears and said: Shhh. Mein hoon.

Bondita: Aapne Dara diya.

Anirudh: Sorry sorry. Ab aage chalo.

As she stepped ahead she felt something flowery under her feet.
She smiled and walked ahead.

A Portrait covered with a cloth ,was kept where the flowery path reached.

She removed the cloth an was in awe.

The painting which Anirudh had made of Bondita in the absence of her.

Anirudh snaked his arms on her tiny waist and keeping his chin on her shoulder he whispered in her ears : Happy Birthday. Aur...

Bondita turning: Aur...

Anirudh smiled and bent a little.

The clock struck 12 and fe whispered looking at her eyes : Aami Tomake bhalo baashi.

Bondita smiled in tears while Anirudh kissed her forehead.
She hugged him keeping her head on his chest,and whispered: Aamiyo Tomake Bhalo baashi.

The study once again witnessed the reunion of two lovers after 10 long years. The moon shone brightly today.
The moonlight fell on them Making the scene more beautiful .

Both broke the hug and looked at eachother. Anirudh smiled and rubbed his nose with hers.
He parted away. Bondita frowned and asked the reason to which he calmly asked her to wait.

He went outside to get something while Bondita roamed inside the study.
She saw their Photo hung on the wall and smiled. She had made their dream come true.
She touched the arm chair and smiling sat on it.
She saw two photoframes, one which her their photo while the other was only hers.

Anirudh entered and smiled seeing that Bondita was adoring each and every thing which had memories with her.

Anirudh: Bondita.

Bondita: Aa gye aap. Kahan gye the.

Anirudh: yeh laane.

He said showing the handi of Ek badaam waale roshogulle.

Bondita: Roshogulle..

Anirudh smiled and went towards her.

In the Godown.

Madhav stepped down the stairs slowly without making any noise.
His saathis were already in action.
He nodded and went to check outside.

He found no one and sighed. He was about to return back when his eyes fell on something shiny.
He picked it up and his eyes widened.
Madhav: Mannu. Meri beti.
He ran upstairs, confusing everyone.

Manorama was making her daughter sleep when Madhav barged in panting.

Manorama: Kya hua Madhav?

Madhav saw an arrow entering and was about to hit Manorama when Madhav pulled her towards him.

Manorama was scared by this sudden act and closing her eyes hugged Madhav.

Breaking the hug , she said: Yeh sab..

Manorama: Yeh sab..

Madhav: Angrezon ne hamla kar diya hai.

Manorama: par unhe Pata kaise chala ki hum sab yahan hai.

Madhav, gritting his teeth: Desh drohii..

Manorama widened her eyes and touched her baby bump as tears fell from her eyes. Madhav and Manorama looked at their 1 year old daughter.

They heard a blast sound from downstairs and looked at eachother tearfully.

RC Haveli.
Study.

Anirudh was making Bondita eat the roshogulla while she was busy talking.

Bondita suddenly asked: Lekin aapko Pata kaise chala Aurobindo ke baare mein.

Anirudh: mujhe kisine ek patra bheja tah.
He took out a paper from his drawer and showed it Bondita.

Bondita looked at the paper keenly and said: Arre yeh toh Madhav ki handwriting hai.

Anirudh, confused: Madhav ki? Tumhe kaise Pata?

Bondita : Arre woh ek baar na maths ka question solve nhi ho rha tha toh unhone madat ki thi.

Anirudh nodded acknowledging it.

Bondita: Aapko kuch dikhaun?

Anirudh: kya?

Bondita : Chalo mere saath.

She dragged him with her to upstairs.
Making him sit on the bed, she took out an Album from the cupboard.

Anirudh smiled and started to look at the pictures, when he took out Madhav's and Bondita's photograph.

Anirudh: ye kabki hai?

Bondita: jab Mujhe na school ke Bahar gol gappe khaane the aur Madhav ne mujhe khilaye the.

Anirudh, narrowing his eyes: Tumne mujhse kyun nhi kaha?

Bondita sarcastically: Aap toh mujhe sahi raasta dikha ne ke liye door jaa rhe the na.

Anirudh sheepishly smiled and looked further. The photograph flew , without their notice and fell on the ground.
Bondita noticed it suddenly and kept it on the Album back.

They started to look at the Album smiling and giggling.

In the Godown.

Madhav,sighing frustratedly: Mannu baat ko samjho. Yahan bohot khatra hai.

Manorama: Jab desh ko azaad karne ke liye pehela kadam uthaya tha toh yeh nhi socha tha ki jiyungi yaa marungi. Toh ab kyun Sochun.

Madhav, shouting: Tumhare andar humara bacha pal rha hai.
With breaking voice, he said: Mein apne bache ko iss duniya mein aane se pehele nhi khona chahta. Please Mannu.

Manorama: Khona toh mein bhi nhi chahti Madhav. Mein ek Maa hoon. Dard samajhti hoon. Par mujhe afsos nhi hoga. Mera bacha desh ki azaadi mein kurbaan hoga.

Madhav and Manorama looked at eachother.

Manorama: Talvaar do Madhav. Ek aakhri baar mein ladhna chahti hoon.

Madhav handed her the sword and both for the last time, said with cracking voice: Vande Mataram.

The firing of bullets started outside.  Krantikaaris fighting with the officer's.
Manorama tied her 1 year old baby across her back and went outside.

The ground floor of the building was full with blood , dead bodies of both British officers and krantikaaris.

She felt someone behind her. She fought with that person.

Desh se hai pyaar toh har pal yeh kehna chahiye
Mein rahun yaa naa rahun
Bharat yeh rehna chahiye.

RC Haveli.
Anidita's Room.

Bondita was having a weird feeling and said: Pati babu..

Anirudh in response only hummed as he was looking outside. Black clouds had surrounded the sky. A moment ago the sky was full of stars and moon was now covered with black clouds.

Bondita: Ajeeb si ghabrahat ho rhi hai.

Anirudh looked at Bondita and came towards her. Taking her soft hands in his ,asked : Kya hua?

Bondita: Pata nhi. Jaise kisi ko khone ka dar sata raha hai man ko.

Anirudh sighed and pulled her closer.
Anirudh: Kuch bhi mat socho Bondita.

Bondita: Mujhe Ek baar apne Sakha se milna hai. Mujhe Madhav se milna hai.

Anirudh: itni raat ko? Woh soh rhe honge bondita. Aur hume Pata bhi nhi hai na ki woh kahan hai.

Bondita: Haan baat toh sahi hai.

Anirudh: mein yeh Album cupboard mein rakh ke aata hoon.

Bondita nodded lost somewhere.

Outside it started to rain. Bondita to calm her self went to terrace.

Anirudh was keeping the album inside the cupboard when a bracelet fell from the cupboard.

Anirudh: yeh kisne di bondita ko?

He remembered something and turned to look but didn't find Bondita. He took something from the drawer and went outside looking for her.

He was sacred as he didn't find Bondita anywhere in the house. Last place to check was terrace. He went there and sighed in relief seeing her their.

He looked at her , twirling under the sky with open arms.
He went towards her, keeping the packet inside his pocket. He snaked his arms around her waist and whispered: kya kar rhi ho yahan? Pata bhi hai Kitna dar gya tha.

Bondita resting her head on his shoulder: Mein konsa aapko chodke door jaane waali thi.

In a swift Anirudh turned her. Their noses touching, eyes closed.
Anirudh: Shh. Kuch bhi bola mat karo. Mana kiya tha na.

Bondita: Sorry.

Anirudh slowly opened his eyes and asked her to do the same. Bondita opened her eyes and gasped in shock seeing the proximity.
She was about to move back when his hold around her waist tightened.

Anirudh rubbed their noses while Bondita looked at him.
He looked in her eyes seeking permission while Bondita closed her eyes.

Anirudh slowly kissed her and so did Bondita.

Outside the Godown.

Manorama was fighting with the officers.
She had kept her baby safely on a nearby bench unknown to the officers. Her whole white anarkali was now covered with blood. Killing the officers, she sighed in relief.
For a while she thought that she ,madhav and her daughter will now lead a happy life. Her thoughts came to an halt when she felt something on the stomach.
She touched at and looked infront.

A sword slammed into her.

She looked at the officer who was grinning widely at her.

He took out the sword and again did the same for multiple times.
Manorama now could barely breathe.

She heard a cry of the baby.

Officer moved towards the bench. He was about to kill the baby when he fell on the floor being dead.

Manorama had slammed the sword against his back.

She fell on her knees.

She wanted to hear a last word. The Almighty was with her and granted her the wish.

The baby spoke: Maa..

Manorama cried and slept on the lap of Mother India. Many krantikaari's sacrificed themselves today.

She whispered before dying: Bharat Mata ki Jai..

And slept forever.

Madhav came from behind running looking for Manorama and his baby. A sword was in his hands , dress fully covered with blood. His face had splatter of blood.

Madhav shouted : Mannu..
His eyes fell on his wife. He lifelessly walked towards her. He stumbled upon the deadbodies . He fell on his knees near her. He kept his hand on her stomach which was flat by now.

He cried hugging her until and unless he heard his baby's cry.

To save her,he called one of his saathi.

The whole building was burning. The orange flames flowing out of the building . Many deadbodies were lying on the floor. A baby was crying while a Madhav was seeing his baby girl seeing  for the last time.

Madhav : Iss bache ko leke Tulsipur Roy Chowdhary Haveli jao.
Aur yeh patra Bondita aur Anirudh Roy Chowdhary ko dedena.

Man 2 : Par kahunga kya?

Madhav : iss patra mein meine likha hai. Bache ko darwaza pe chod nikal jaana.

Two police Man: Wahan rahe woh dono.

Madhav shouting : Bhaagoo...

The second man eloped successfully while the other Madhav taken with  the police officer.

Madhav : Sakhi tumahre Sakha madhav ki aakhri nishaani...tumahre paas ....pahunch rhi hai...

He fainted.

RC Haveli.
Terrace.

Anirudh and Bondita broke the kiss.
They looked at eachother and laughed.
They touched their forehead and smiled.
Something fell from Anirudh's pocket.
Picking it up ,he made her sit on the Swing.

He held her feet and kept it on his thighs.
Bondita: Pati babu..

Anirudh: Shh.
He made her wear the payal which he had bought.

Bondita gave a shy smile and getting up from the swing jumped in happiness.

Bondita: Thank you.

Anirudh smiled and said: Sone chale? Raat ke 2 baj rhe hai.

Bondita nodded and ran towards the door but stopped. She came back,kissed his cheek and ran away with a blush making him blush as well. Shaking his head he followed her.

Inside the Jail.

Madhav was being beaten ruthlessly but a smile was continuously playing on his face.
The whole cell was covered with blood.

The main officer entered and the constables left.

Officer: Tch Tch.  Socha tha bhaag jaoge.
Bach jaoge. Par kya hua? Pakde gye na.
British Government se bachna itna asaan nhi hai.

Madhav was already in the state of unconsciousness.

Officer: But you know what yeh sab possible nhi hota agar tumhara ek saathi mera saath nhi deta. What do you guys call..umm...Ahh yes I remember.
Mera saath deke aur tumahra saath chodke woh desh drohi ban gaya.

Madhav clenched his fists which was stained with blood and his eyes turned red.

A man walked in with hands in his pocket and a smirk.

Person : Madhav. Kaise ho. Boudi kaisi hai. Aur humari son..

Madhav broke the chains which were tying him and jumped on the person.
The officer moved back as he wanted to enjoy the show.

Madhav holding the collars of Person shouted,: How dare you? Dhoka kyun diya? Desh drohii kahinke.

He punched the person and started to beat him ruthlessly.

Person laughed evilly and said: Jahan profit wahan loss kaise hone deta mein madhav.

Madhav: kuch paison ke liye tumne humare saathiyon ko , mujhe , Mannu ko dhoka diya?

Person: Haan diya meine. Paise chahiye the mujhe.

Madhav was about to pounce on him again when the havaldaars held him.

Officer: Aaj ki raat tumahri aakhri raat hai. Jee bhar ke jeelo.

The person and the officer walked out while Madhav sat on the floor.

Outside the Jail.

Person : Andrew finally we won. Krantikaari pakde gye. Ab meri keemat mujhe do.

Andrew smiled and took a briefcase.
He handed the briefcase to the person.
The person was about to leave when Andrew stopped him.

Andrew: Partnership khatam hui hai. Gale nhi miloge?

The person laughed and hugged him.
Andrew's smiling face turned into smirk.

A gunshot was heard.

The person lying on the floor dead.

Andrew bending: Bhale hi tumne mera saath diya par the toh Krantikaari hi na.

He walked out with the officer's behind him.

In Bondita's room Anirudh and Bondita were lying on the bed. Bondita had kept her head on his chest while Anirudh's arm was wrapped around her shoulder.
Both were sleeping peacefully.

6:00 AM

Someone was banging the doors of the haveli very hardly. Hearing the voice everyone came down.

Bondita: yeh awaaz .

Kaka: itni subha subha kon hai?

Anirudh opened the door but found no one.
He was about to close the door when his eyes went on the baby who was staring at him with her brown eyes.

He picked her up in his arms and turned to face the family.

Kaka: bacha?

Batuk: Kaka bacha nhi bachi hai.

A letter fell which was had stains of blood.
Bondita opened the letter and read. As she was reading tears fell from her eyes and her hands trembled.

She fell on her knees.
Anirudh handing the baby to Naina, ran towards Bondita and asked : Bondita kya hua?

Bondita looked at him and only whispered : Madhav...Manorama...

In the cell where Madhav was staying.

Madhav was lying on the floor with a smile, open eyes.
Beside him VandeMataram was written.
He died.

In RC Haveli Bihari came with a radio in his hands.

The radio stated,
"Abhi Abhi khabar mili hai ki ek krantikaariyon ki fauj par hamla hua hai. Saare krantikaari maare gye hai.
Do Krantikaari jo ki iss fauj ke leader the , naam hai Manorama aur Madhav dono Shaheed ho gye hai. Bhagwaan unki aatma ko shaanti de. Vande Mataram."

A silence fell in the whole house.

This whole chapter was written on my imagination. I am sorry if I have hurt anyone's sentiments by writing the Krantikaari part. I am sorry.
